RECIPE IN THIS VIDEO:
*Base Paint (Pillow): Homebase Pure Brilliant white silk (interior walls and ceilings) thinned to desired consistency!
*3 parts Valspar wood and metal interior BASE C V700 Blend, 1 part Vallejo polyurethane gloss varnish (my new favorite gloss varnish for the bloom recipe)
*Recently started adding Golden Heavy Gel Medium to my Pigments for extra body.
*CELL ACTIVATOR: 10ml amsterdam oxide black, 30 ml elmer's glue all, 10ml water (I'm experimenting so this may change)

Erica, thank you very much for showing us how to replace Floetrol! In Russia, it is very expensive and it is simply unrealistic to use it! Your experiments work and open up other opportunities for us, beginners in acrylic pouring. I am waiting for delivery of Elmers Glue and will try CA on it. The Elmer's Glue All and Amsterdam Paint plus water recipe is a godsend. Difficult to get Austrailian Floetrol where I live. Now I have all incredients to make a bloom painting. Thanks so much Erica. You are the best.

Wow, crazy! You used house paint (latex) for your base, no pouring medium, very little actual acrylic paint (!) and got awesome results. I love this kind of experimenting.

Couldn’t wait to try this so went right in a started mixing. Used white elmers with the white paint and clear elmers with the black. Great results with the black but a real bummer with the white paint. Thanks for experimenting, it’s so helpful 😘

Absolutely Beautiful!!! 💖💕 I use a 70%glue 30%wated pouring medium. I mix it 3prts pm to 1prt black oxide and get amazing Cells/Lacing for swipes and blow outs. I don't do the pillow paint house paint shelli art technique though.
Sounds fab, do you add any special cells activating oil at all??? And black oxide is it just the name of the paint?

I didn't realize I should blowing directly down onto the activator, then push the paint out. I learned something here. Good alternative to have the glue btw!
