I was a little too young to have seen it originally although old enough to be a teen and have attended the original Lilith Fair. ❤ I hope I can see her again for a third time one day!
"Surfacing" was a great album and got Sarah the radio hits and awards she deserved, but "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" was far more powerful and her best work imo. Every song is perfect and the album is a masterpiece from start to finish.
Great comment, I think it had to do what was going on with her life at that time, and how the songs became more powerful for her going through those life experiences.
I was a young rocker into the heavier grunge when girls in college all had Fumbling toward Ecstasy. I thought it was cheese and wouldn’t hold up. Here i am thirty years later, and I think it’s incredible and I listen to it all the time.
I recently attended Sarah’s 30th anniversary tour for Fumbling. It was incredible. I thought that no one could do this albums percussion section like her ex, Ashwin, but happy to say that whoever is on tour with her right now left nothing to be missed. I was sad there wasn’t multiple dates. It was such a spiritual moment for all of us in attendance. She played fumbling as the full album in the second set. Her first set was comprised of the mirrorball album and some of songs off the Shine On and Laws of Illusion Album. I am so tempted to book a ticket for the Canadian leg in November! This tour is a must see. So happy to have experienced it live. I was in my earlyteens when I got to see the original leg of Lilith Fair as my first concert - MirrorBall was out at that time. Watching the Fumbling FULL ALBUM was such a f-ing TREAT - I got to experience what made me a fan of Sarah from the beginning! I feel blessed. These moments rarely happen for music fans. ❤
SARAH McLACHLAN has been currently Touring with this STELLAR album as its Focus. Personally, my FAVE is her "SURFACING" album, which features Gorgeous Songs, Too! They're Both BRILLIANT ALBUMS that should be in Everyone's LIBRARIES ! !,! Thanks for considering my Suggestion. 😂 ❤

These afterglow perfomances are one of the best live recorded and on youtube. not only of the performers are amazing,but also on the technical side. Just to be able to hear what everyone tributes to these songs is just amazing. so also the guys behind the buttons you know what you are doing thank you very much.
