It is a good video. The demonstration for most parts is clear. However, I didn't understand the name that was given for the emulsifier that was added to prevent the sugar from burning in the kettle. Can someone provide some information on this product?
Elroy Skerritt It's called Compound-S and is made by Gold Medal. We just tried this popcorn making method with 3 flavors of Flossugar and the results were great - just like PopNGlaze.
Dominica Miller Can you add plain soy lecithin? I'm experimenting with making my own flavoured kettle corn, and I can't find anywhere local to buy these supplies
@@davidward9487 Regular oil does NOT make popcorn chewy. I have been using it for years and have tried specialty oils and yes even coconut oil and there is no difference in the quality of the final product.
@@davidward9487 Coconut oil is full of saturated fat, which can raise your LDL (bad) cholesterol and your chances of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The American Heart Association recommends you to eat low-saturated fat foods and use healthier oils when you cook.
This guy is about as exciting as overcooked pasta...

Thank you for these videos! I work at a child development center and we have these products but couldn't figure out how to use them correctly.

Do you have the step by step receipt for the cotton candy flozz I need to know all that I need
Recipe...and floss.
Where do you buy compound s
Is it butterfly or mushroom popcorn kernels you are using?
It works with all popcorn.
Can you tell me why you used the COMPOUND-S with Flossugar, but not the PopNGlaze? Does the PopNGlaze have some COMPOUND-S built into it?
Randall Feist PopNGlaze already contains soy lecithin, which is an emulsifier, so basically yes, it's already built in.

@@tracykmdesigns1684 It can be ordered for many different websites. It's also a gold medal product just google "compound S"
@@tracykmdesigns1684 considering the emulsifier in Pop N Glaze is soy lecithin, I would say yes.
Can you use oil instead of coconut oil so it can be crispy
Regular oil will make it more chewy. Use white coconut oil. Plus it's healthier.
@@davidward9487 Not healthier...
Regular oil works. I use it in my machine with no issues. It does NOT make chewy popcorn as another person claims.

can I use the flavour in the pot and stove? handmade without popcorn mashine?
It doesn't coat well on a stove top at home.
How much is the machine? Does it run on propane too?
Electricity only and it's over $300 for that exact machine (it's a commercial popper)
Where can I buy that here in HONGKONG and how much?
Cool
NO SABE UN CARAJO. NO ESPERO QUE SE TERMINARA DE HACER. EN LA PRIMERA TIRADA.
Then you're an idiot because it's a candy coating and needs to cool and harden first.
