The actor's name is Christian Slater, by the way! I absolutely love his voice. He's been in a ton of things, but there's an SNL bit that stars him, Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Chris Farley, which is such a perfect grouping

I was VERY obsessed with him when I was 12. Looking back it was kind of worrying considering he kills his classmates but thank god I grew out of it lol

i was just thinking about this earlier how it's kinda scary how it reflects real high school. particularly the guidance counselor character. in her song "shine a light" she exploits what she thinks is heathers' suicide note and makes copies for all the students to read it which is extremely disturbing. her obsession with getting the students to open up and feel seems to directly correlate with her insecurity and lack of self expression in her own life. this is shown when she decides to trauma dump and project her own problems, telling them to all of the minor high school students in the room and she is more focused on that and her new popularity with the students with all the su!cides going on than she is concerned about the actual su!cides (shown when she dismisses veronica's su!cide towards the end) this is scary because it reflects actual guidance counselors being caught up in their own issues and not actually caring about the students and instead blatantly projecting onto the students and ignoring or being oblivious to the students' very real and obvious problems right in front of them
But that’s in the musical this short is talking about the movie. They are two seperate things :)

Finally a video talking about Heathers but I can’t get over that one scene where JD pulls out a gun in the middle of the cafeteria. I laugh so hard every single time that I watch it.
It actually has a really nice and positive ending, considering the film is a very dark comedy 😂
When i watch it i always feel really sad and it feels so raw and somber when Ram’s sister looks back at Veronica with tears streaming down her face and it makes it feel so real every time😢
Heathers is one of my all time favorite movies. I've introduced lots of friends to this cinematic gem.

High-school means literally nothing, you realize that with age. You can literally drop out, get a GED and attend college with a 4.0 and high-school truly becomes completely irrelevant in every way possible.
this is not true. When I tell you high school is one of the peak moments in your life, IT IS. You experience so much that carry you onward and learn so many things but not just numbers and words but real life lessons. Just dropping out and going to college early works but high school is really something to remember because that’s when you really start growing up like you get a job or you get in your first real relationship or you start driving, etc. As again you will eventually conquer those things later in life juggling all these things in high school REALLY helps for college. I know it helped me

It's not about being popular, it's about being genuinely loved.
JD’s character really showed how he probably does those “suicides”at every school he goes to. He seems to be obsessed with suicide because he watched his mother kill herself. The dad obviously knows, they use to excuse of his business as to why they move around so much but it’s obvious it’s only to cover up his sons killings.
I love heathers but the fact that its a story that originates in high school but even middle schoolers can relate to it is wild anyways my point is that middle and high school is like Heathers 😊

Not to be a dick, but why does everyone treat Martha Dumptruck as some paragon of virtue. She only tried to kill herself because the popular kids were doing it, so she wasn't immune to the fantasy of popularity or the pitfalls of Highschool .She deserves sympathy but ends the film in a troubled place and not in a position to give out advice. I don't think we should give her pity points of depth and widom just because we feel bad for her situation, it feels like missing the point of the movie

Heather was made in the 80's - before colombine. Heathers promotes svhool sh***ings. The violence and hote in Heathers was so unnecessary.
How the hell does it promote school shootings?? Just because JD was about to blow up the school? Depiction is not endorsement. I think the movie was crystal clear in that JD was a villain and nothing else.
