I absolutely adore Denkou Choujin Gridman and Dynazenon, borderline masterpieces of their respective genres. SSSS.Gridman on the other hand is... not great imo. A bit too "anime" and melodramatic if that makes any sense (it doesn't). Not that I'm against darker or more mature takes on superheroes (Ultraman Nexus is KINO), I just don't feel that the 2018 anime did it too well. Still hyped for the 2023 movie tho; hopefully this can lead to a new toku Gridman series.
Awesome vid! Been on a rewatch of both Gridman/Dynazenon binge since Trigger hasn’t said a peep about screening Gridman Universe here in the states
I really see how a lot of stuff in SSSS is heavily based on the original series...
But Takeshi sounds a HELL of a lot more better executed than Akane!
