Great review, Anthony. I know you're a busy guy, and you've said a million time you never customize your own figures, but I legit want to see your hand at touching up this figure. This isn't a "put your money where your mouth is" kind of thing, because I know a personal paint job will most of the time be better than factory, I really just want you to drive the point that a little bit goes a long way in terms of proper paint and dry brushing.
Yes! I'd like to see that as well. Anthony's paint job would show us how drastically improved a figure can look with minor adjustments to paint apps. He probably hasn't gotten around to it yet though lol.

I didn't realize this had drop down hips, tried mine and yeah, they don't provide that much better articulation. Hopefully this won't be the only Hasbro ML figure with the feature. I'm okay with the paint, and the face does look a little weird without more detail, but it still looks 100% Jim Lee Beast so I'm okay with the face sculpt and paint. Maybe if there was some slight shading to the white eyes and inside mouth it would help make the face not look so flat.
I remember having the ToyBiz Marvel Legends Beast when I was a kid and it was a pretty great figure from what I remember. Had a poseable mouth and fingers, and even came with a comic like they all did back in the day. Best part is that I'm pretty sure those were even cheaper than these Hasbro ones are now. I assume Hasbro bought Toybiz out or something? Either way, these just don't compare to those older figures and it's pretty disappointing.

The thing is like Spidey was supposed to be red and black beast was supposed to be black as well but like Spidey the blue which was supposed to be highlights didn't work for the printed page
Beast is my favorite X-Men and one of my all-time favorite characters, but damn. This figure had so much going for it. I hate that head and those hands. They better release a relaxed head with glasses with some future figure since they are all about adding random other accessories to figures now. Also, is it just me or are his shorts too short? Shouldn’t they have just sculpted them to the thigh swivel? Would’ve hidden the join too

Just picked him up and overall I'm happy with it. The paint is definitely lazy and not thought out, but he makes every other figure in this wave look like hammered shit.

It is a great figure, but the body is not accurate, beast is more like a gorilla short legs and bulky thorso. In my opinion paint app and sculpting is not the best, but the final product looks good.

Well I don't have the figure yet so I can't tell , but from what I've seen from review It seem that It doesn't affect the rage of motion too much as you said.
I think besides the head sculpt and paint job hasbro almost tried too hard adding a drop down to the legs despite the figure not even needing it hasbro also added toe articulation. if hasbro tried this hard on normal marvel legends it would be awesome and I hope hasbro doesn't here me even higher the price point and I might be okay with it. I would pick up this figure if I was a beast fan but Im not

It works. You can actually rotate the legs all the way, making it possible to do amazing crouching poses.

Glad Hasbro put some effort into articulation. The most glaring downside is the bland face sculpt. It's still a impressive Hasbo Legends release IMO.

Well, if you paint dark grey on top of blue with less than full coverage and a person who doesn't know better could think it's blue paint.

Pulling the legs down is for the crouching position though. And as i showed, it impacts the position very minimally.
