Thank you Tessa, for appreciating what Romanians themselves don't appreciate anymore, unfortunately. This is a great educational video on Grigorescu's life and work!

I'd never heard of him before watching your video Tessa. And you're right, he's an artist of real merit, so I can feel an afternoon of internet research coming up!
Mulțumesc mult pentru aceste video, sunt o româncă care trăiește departe de țara ei de inimă și aceste video mă rememorează ce minunată este patria mea 😍
Wonderful piece! I'm a fan of Tessa Dunlop's videos! Little tip: Barbizon school was also rural - the name of a village of Barbizon, 62 km SE from Paris, surrounded by the Fontainebleau Forest (part of which is a biological reserve, it looks like this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest_of_Fontainebleau ), not far from the Fontainbleau Palace (the newer version of Versailles Palace) and residence of ... Napoleon I and Napoleon III (among others). Second tip: That forest is at the Westernmost tip of the Central European floristic region, which also includes most of Romania (including Agapia Monastery :) ..., here is the biogeographical map: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumboreal_Region. So Grigorescu had exactly the kind of environment and landscape he needed :)
Tessa , congratulations for your research and work ! Romania is a nice country , rich culture and heritage and ( unfortunately ) has been underrated and undevaluated by foreigners and Romanians some time 😅Until 1989 Romania DID NOT EXIST on the map of Europe ( a blank page )
Romania, or most specificaly, Romanians as a people will never exists on the map of great artistic creativity. The reason behind it is because the world is shaped by Imprealism thought structure.
Tessa, You are wonderful! First of all for making Romania known in this unique way, then for trying to pronounce our names...Thank you!
