First off, I love your videos and reviews and very often buy lights as a direct result of your review, and the info they provide. Second, I'm 2:45 in to the video and even though I've owned this light for a couple weeks already, I learned something VALUABLE- one can read all the battery reviews and charts by all the experts but it still doesn't account for real world numbers, I opted for p42a's for my fw21 pro and X9L over 30t and 40t never realizing there would be that much of a difference. VERY GOOD to know, thank you! Obviously there's benefits to each of these batteries but still, good to know about otf lumen differences
Oh, and the quality of your videos is great and always getting better which is great to see. I like the new Vanhalla shots, walking out with the light shows the beam spread nicely. And the fade of you at the end of the walk is next level! Really cool!
Apparently though when the voltage drops the P42A takes over.

Instrad of one clock to switch on, then double click for turbo when ON?
You can re-program the ceiling level to 150 and then ramp the light up to 10.000 lumens (don't double click to get to turbo), then turn the light off, click 5 times and there you go

Hey guys, I need help to set the max ramp back to the standard out put then double tap to enter turbo. Currently my ramp goes to max power. Need help please, I tap 4 times from on for ramp config as the video says but not sure how to set it back. Thanks!

These are really 1 second wow factor lights. However, I suppose you could program them to be usable. Step down the Imalent to run in 3000lm mode, and it might only scald your hand, instead of burning your house down when you drop it from being scalded. :) Thanks for bringing this to us, great video, and an informative comparison!

Why do they do it without the battery
Hi mate just had mine delivered today and i unscrewed the tailcap first without realising... So i screwed it back on and put a Samsung flat top 40T in it and it flashes when screwing the head on but the once screwed all the way on it doesn't work and it also doesn't work with a 18650 in it either... Any ideas mate...i haven't a clue?
Just keep moving the bit around in the tailcap. It's a common issue

Battery wise? 30T, flashlight wise Imalent MS03 but it is garbage. The Noctigon K9.3 is the daddy imo.
What kind of batteries and a charger would you recommend?

So there is literally a massive deadzone between max-ramp and turbo? So it goes from some 1300 lumens to turbo, with no way to get any levels of light between the 2??

@@kienfung3045 Doesn't work, people who said that were Imalent and affiliate reviewers. They brought another two versions out but it did not fix the red light issue.

When I bought my FW21 a couple years ago I mistakenly ordered three. Loved the flood output from such a small light so I kept them. Two of the three tailcaps stopped working.

Not really, especially to the eye. And a lower amp battery will get you power for longer as stepdown won't be as quick

10:05 while showing the different frames, i can't help but notice warmer white doesn't light up the sky as much, the sun appears yellow in the sky because the shorter blue wavelengths are scattered in the sky leaving the sun "yellow"
This means warm white should throw farther than it's cool white counterpart and indeed at 10:05 there is far less scattering of light...
Throwers of different colour temperatures would be very interesting!

I've definitely noticed in misty conditions warmer lights throw far better than cool, it's definitely true what they say.

That's why they make the FW21 X9L. I have one it's basically the same but FW21 Pro but 810 meters of throw.
I like my EC03 better than my FW21Pro because the switch is on the side.
I was thinking of getting this light but I already own an ec03 in 6500k.. I dont really see how this light would be any better to justify getting it.

Once you see 10,000 lumens you won't ever go back. You need the right battery and a full charge.

I was contemplating this light for awhile,...but really,...I don't need it. And I think what I have is plenty fine for both flood and throw. I'm using [for flood] an Olight Seeker 3, and [for throw], a Nitecore SRT9. That this FW21 heats up so quickly on turbo kind of negates its usefulness for me...but would certainly be a "wow factor"!
I really appreciate and enjoy your reviews. Of all reviewers of flashlights/torches, yours are the best. Especially when you're using Skyrim music. ;-)

@DeavonReye Many of my lumintops stopped working, and some came broke. most of my rear switch lumintops have switches that stick on, making output ramp to max. My very expensive turboglow Lumintop randomly came on on its own and ramped straight to turbo, then wouldn't turn off. Had to twist the tail cap to turn it off. Dangerous!
They may have improved now, but they were beyond garbage a few years ago.

Yes, they have a turbo problem. The light locks Turbo/High out after a few seconds use on Turbo.

Interesting and funny. The best combination a review can have. What strikes me here is that the differences in beamquality, throw&spill are quite small. The MS03 has 13,000lm but it is no brighter than the FW21 or even the EC03.
And it is wise to open your garage with a light near by. Never knows what is lurking in the darknesss...

@@An.Individual It might hit 9000 if you use a turbo quickly a few times to get the 30T cell hot.
@@kachow2818 must lower resistance. When the driver gets hot output drops though. Basically it jumps up a few 100 lumens each time you blast turbo for 3 seconds but then it stsrts dropping a few 100 lumens as the driver/LED's get very hot and the battery voltage starts dropping. It makes Lumen measurments a bit iffy now. Someone in Alaska might get 2000 lumens less than someone in Texas

My 2000 to 3000 lumen lights that throw more light than this paperweight.
Obviously you're doing something wrong... you're not hitting 10,000 lumens because if you were you wouldn't be writing this.
