- We continue our revisit of Five Nights at Freddy's and it's animatronics with an indepth look at Foxy the Pirate and his various iterations over the years across the FNAF games. These include Funtime Foxy, Nightmare Foxy, Rockstar Foxy, Withered Foxy and Grimm Foxy. This animatronic is for sure a fan favourite and one of the more unique animatronics to feature in the Five Nights games. I've noticed Foxy has a history of being completely redesigned, or even replaced, by other similar characters. He's also shown as an antagonist in those anime cutscenes, and Freddy and Friends On Tour. It's as if Fazbear Entertainment didn't like Foxy being more popular than Freddy, so they tried what they could to move said popularity towards Freddy

One note: Foxy actually doesn't get more aggressive if you look at him more often. Actually it's the opposite - looking at the cams (any cams, not his specifically) actually stalls him for a few seconds. If you flip up cams often enough, he can't move for the entire night, even at AI 20.

Actually, there's now evidence by someone against Foxy causing the bite of 87: They noticed how it happened at a birthday party. Foxy and the other withered animatronics were in the parts and service room during that. Even if one of them did get out and bite off the frontal lobe of a guest or employee, it would've ended in their permanent retirement, and caused them to be scrapped. But, it was the toy animatronics who were scrapped. It was most likely Mangle who caused the bite. It was most likely that being torn apart by children and employees refusing to repair Mangle enraged her enough to go on the attack during a party. I agree with this theory more than any other.
And Mangle’s jump scare is of her biting the top part of the player(the head)

No. And. The employees decided to just let Mangle stay broken. It was a combination of both. If you want to understand the theory better, look up Charlie Dixon, and you can see all his evidence he put down.

Fun fact: the voice of withered foxy is Marc Martel, who is best known as “the guy who sounds like Freddie Mercury”. Though Raimi Malek played Freddie in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, Marc Martel did all the singing as Freddie in the movie.

Foxy in FNaF 1 is the only FNaF to have a animatronic not attack you, Yarr Me Mate.y!
Foxy DID attack us. We most likely passed out from surprise before he started the assault.
Fun fact: as you can see in some renders, Nightmare foxy, was originally supposed to have a long, monstrous tongue. However I'm pretty sure it was to hard to model and animate, so Scott didn't add it to the final version of FNaF 4. But it can be seen on the title screen, where foxy's shadow is seen peering from a bush.
There is some misinformation, what I caught was Foxy's "broken" jaw isn't broken.
He isn't necessarily responsible for the bite of 87' as it was likely mangle or any of the other animatronics attacking the player character during their first morning shift.
Extra note is
Funtime Foxy is related (Not the same) to The Mangle as they were technically the same design ish in lore (According to FNAF world). But it's complicated since it really doesn't make sense.
Technically besides FNAF 2 you probably play as an Afton in every single FNAF game from 1 to 7 that is if you believe you play as Micheal during FNAF 1,3 and 5 (You definitely do in 6). You would play as 'Evan Afton' or crying child in FNAF 4 and William Afton in FNAF 7. With FNAF 2, AR VR and security breach being the exceptions.

Most of the reasons Foxy could be the one who caused the Bite of ‘87 fits in with Mangle, and Mangle might also malfunction the same way because Mangle is a redesign of Foxy and is even more destroyed.
I like how SHB actually mentioned in this video that Foxy does the humming in FNaF 1, when in a previous video, he said it was Freddy.

3:22 I think it was mangle who was responsible for the bite of 87 as fnaf 1 takes place in 1993 and fnaf 2 takes place in 1987. Mangle also has a similar condition to foxy as it’s jaw never closes properly and children would often run around it during the day and dismantle it all the time. So maybe one day mangle bit down on someone’s head and disconnected their frontal lobe.

I’m not super caught up on fnaf lore, but I’ve heard that Funtime Foxy doesn’t have a specified gender, and that they’re referred to with she/he pronouns? So maybe genderfluid? Again, I’m not sure but yk 😭

okay, let's take a minute and reread what you said. you are stating that funtime foxy is a woman, simply because she can change her voice to be feminine. do you know how dumb that sounds because it can be vise versa? that's like me saying funtime foxy is confirmed a man because he can also change his voice to be masculine. she has a masculine and a feminine voice; he has no specified gender.
Mangle is unkown but Funtime Foxy has practically been confirmed male. Male voice in UCN. The How to draw, guide, and even UCN game descriptions all refer to him as a male. At least I have yet to notice him being referenced as a female since after sister location.

A few notes:
Mangle is technically "Toy Foxy", as part of the set of "Toy Animatronics" in FNAF 2. Due to the extensive rearrangement by the children of customers, however, Mangle has a specific behavior pattern, unique to themself, and so is treated differently. That said, the second head on Mangle is often considered to have presaged the parrot on Rockstar Foxy's shoulder.
Phantom Foxy, as a hallucination -- we think -- does not get a mention in this video. In FNAF 3, he will randomly appear by the parts box in the Office, and must be avoided by flipping up the Monitor before looking directly at him. Failure will prompt a jumpscare and shut down the ventilation system.
Funtime Foxy, like the other Funtime Animatronics, has special hidden features. In this case, Parental Voice Sync/Replay (located in the chest speaker) and Variable Scent Release (located in the tail). One more additional feature appears to be located in Funtime Foxy's right foot: A Remote Floor Anchor. Like Ballora's "Deter and Misdirect" feature, this note directs us to the never-seen "Circus Baby dir07". While the other two features are somewhat understandable (scent release to cover tracks and lure children, parental voice replay to calm and lure), the purpose of a remote floor anchor remains something of a mystery, as it would allow Funtime Foxy to be attached to the floor at any time.
Funtime Foxy is, according to the hidden blueprints from "Sister Location", the smallest of the four animatronics, at 5'10" and 250 pounds.
While Original Foxy's size has never been officially stated, fan calculations estimate him to be roughly 6'1" (going by his size in the VR: Help Wanted gallery) or 7'1" (going by his size in the first game).
The damage to Foxy's torso in the first game appears to correspond with his right hand hook being dragged across his front. While this remains a mystery, it would match up with both Bonnie and Freddy showing their own handprints on their faces, indicating that they were all attempting to remove their outer coverings.

Foxy is the most diverse of the cast, switching between colors, names, designs overall and even genders (though Mangle and Funtime Foxy are the "Which gender are they?" situation) ever since his second appearance, and is probably one of his main traits. One has to wonder... why, though?
Out of all the characters in the series, Foxy gave me nightmares, I remember playing the game first times in 2014, I got jumpscared by Foxy, and I remember screaming throwing my dad's phone then running to my mom, crying, then I had nightmares for weeks.

It's much more possible Mangle was the one behind The Bite of '87. She has teeth pretty much as sharp as Foxy, he was in the location from 1987, and they were one of the Toy animatronics, the ones that could commit the bite due to them walking around during the day.
I think the general consensus is that Mangle caused the Bite of '87.

Foxy could not be the culprit of the Bite of '87 because he was decommissioned in the Parts & Service Room alongside the other Withered Animatronics during the daytime.
Fun fact the reason that Foxy is withered in fnaf1 is because Scott was on a six hour bumpy car ride, and he accidentally made Foxy withered😊
Foxy’s teeth aren’t razor sharp, they’re blunt. They look like they’ve been filed down which could be a reference to the fact that the staff were worried about animatronics biting so wanted to make sure they couldn’t do any real damage

The bite of '87 wasn't a malfunction, it was a spring lock failure. It happens when moisture is on the animatronic and the kid was crying so his tears got got on the animatronic

Fun fact, Foxy does not get more agressive from frequent camera usage. You can check that yourself in the first game by getting foxy to 20 and everyone else to 0. Simply flip your camera up and down and you will see, he will pretty much never move. For more info on that, see the fnaf video about the AI by Tech Rules.

I like to think that Roxy (the she wolf from security breach) is his spiritual successor. Both animals are known for their cunning, both have signature instruments that feature keys from a keyboard and they attack very similarly. They also lose their eyes. Pretty funny coincidence.

Note: the endoskeleton resets to its normal position (the normal position has its mouth closed) when it is contacted with water, meaning that the costumer may have been sweating and that’s why an animatronic bit down.

fun fact: fnaf 2 takes place in 1987, the time of the bite. The nightguard we play as is jeremy fritzgerald who gets bitten by toy bonnie after the events of fnaf 2. As you can see in the bill paper, jeremy was accepted into the company which meant he would be working there more. One of those nights when he was working (not ingame) toy bonnie bit him.
fun fact no.2 the child possessing bonnie is named jeremy. The withered bonnie aka the main animatronics in fnaf 1 was possessed by a child named jeremy but toy bonnie was not possessed by jeremy. But, still it is really clever for scott to do that. Jeremy killing Jeremy the nightguard.

In case anyone mistakes, looking on the cams more doesn't make foxy more aggresive, it does the exact opposite. It will cause him to freeze in place for a bit, unable to move to his next movement stage. I assume though that everyone knows by now
Yeah, however, like phone guy said, watching him too much will cause him to be more aggressive. But for freddy, no matter how much you look at him, he will be slowed and will not be able to attack.

You just have to have good camera usage for him to stay in his cove. Don’t check too much and don’t check too little.
Yeah, the first part of that is just a hoax, or maybe a theory. There's nothing in the code that makes him attack if you use the cameras more, and it's easily proven if you go to the custom night, set Foxy to 20, and just flip the camera up and down on his camera. He won't move a bit.
two fun facts: if you don't check the cameras at all in the first night, foxy might come for you and on mobile I died to him night 1 because I was just sitting in the office doing absolutely nothing. Also, turns out that you can look at any camera, not just pirate's cove, and it will effect foxy.

Foxy does NOT have a higher chance of attacking when you have the camera up. The opposite is true.
Any time the camera is up (even if you aren't looking at Pirate's Cove; literally any camera will do), he automatically fails any movement opportunity.

Ok at dis scene 2:05 you can see that it was true that the bite of 87 was truly him also it makes sence that the first bite was in 83 (fredbear's first bite), also they probably didn't fix foxy since if they'd brought him back some kids might be scared or traumatized since the incident forcing them to change the gang and probably location, so they decided to close him and keep the others, they did already struggled to change fredbear and springbonnie to the og gang so yea, also i realized that his lower jaw isn't connected to the internal jaw/skeletons lower jaw, meaning that its true about the 87's bite

wow maybe you are right since I have been playing five night of Freddy's for years I keep on checking on foxy because I'm scared he will just teleport and jump scare me when I look away. But what I noticed is that he hadn't came out of his shelter when I keep checking. And when I don't check he just get's out of his shelter then try to run towards me. Maybe he is just saying that I don't know but what I do KNOW is that your right.

Also worth mentioning is that FNAF 1 takes place in 1991 and FNAF 2 takes place in 1987. Also mangle has distorted audio, when unscrambled and i believe reversed, sounds like a police radio about the bite

@@wizardnope6514 the bite of '87 has no importance in the lore of fnaf, but i think mangle caused the bite of '87 because she could've malfunctioned when the kids were pulling her apart. Also it cant be the 3 toy animatronics because they are 7ft tall and on a stage that is probably 2-3ft tall
