- In this video we take a walk down memory lane as we revisit the Five Nights at Freddy's series and look at some top facts for animatronic mascot Chica the chicken. In this Chica explained video we look at both Chica and her alternate designs from the FNAF series such as Nightmare Chica, Rockstar Chica, Phantom Chica and Toy Chica. So sit back, relax and let's explore Chica's background and everything we've learnt about her over the years.

Fun Fact: this gluttonous trait carries to all her variants in some form namely Glamrock Chica, where she takes this one step further to eat trash.

Theory of restless spirits is that they are keenly aware of their last sensations before they died.
My guess is the child that died with Chica was hungry, and is now in a neverending state of starvation. That's why the animatronic goes to the kitchen, or in current games, any access point with food like garbage cans.

To continue this for you, perhaps Foxy was scared, thus why he freezes up when he relizes he's being watched, and will just make a straight beline towards the office, like a child running towards an exit.
Freddy may have died angry, seeing as he is the only animatronic who doesn't back track positions and is thus making a constant attempt to get into the office.
And Bonnie? I think Bonnie may have been killed before he could realize something was wrong, he died confused more than anything, which is why his movements are so sporadic and unpredictable, he's honestly just exploring the place.
Either way, all four of them are still drawn to the office, perhaps by the Puppet's command, after all, in UCN, one of the Puppet's lines is, "The others are like animals, but I am very aware."

Fun Fact: A Voiceline for Chica in Ultimate Custom says: “I was the first. I have seen it all.” meaning that she was one of the first children killed by Purple Guy or William Afton.
She was the first to get killed,most people believe it was Freddy because he’s the leader but chica was the first to get dismantled broken and killed by William Afton also stuffed into a suit.

Out of the original four Chica was always the one that scared me the most when the series started. There’s just something so disturbing about her.
In terms of difficulty she’s actually really easy to deal with.

This suggests that whoever is inhabiting Withered Chica was also the first victim of Afton's slaughter.

Original chica is creepiest imo. The metal casings from the later games is so much less scary than the more realistic animatronic plush material.
I think making them talk also makes them so much less creepy.

I'd say this is true for all of the animatronics. While I feel all the subsequent designs of all the animatronics were made with the intention to be creepy, the originals just...were. Something so uncanny valley, so humanoid enough to be deeply unsettling. It helps that the firsts were designed after Scott's old game, where the main protagonist was just incidentally creepy. He managed to capture that perfectly in the first game with all the designs of the og animatronics, and I don't think the other ones have ever hit the same mark as well

I mean, I have a theory for the moaning sound.
As a body decomposes, methane can fill up the lungs and escape through the mouth, making a moaning sound. (fun fact: This is where the stories of vampires and other undead came from.) So I think that for Bonnie and Chica, there are most likely dead, and decomposing, bodies inside the two, hence the moaning.
I highly doubt that this theory is correct. I don't think there's a corpse decomposing inside Chica's body. If it was decomposing, the customers would have smelled it right away.
So either:
1. There's no corpse inside.
2. The corpse is preserved with chemicals not to decay.
Either way, the theory with methane gas would not stand.

The “moaning” noise chica makes is actually called a death rattle. It’s what happens when the air left in a deceased persons lungs gets pushed out (usually by sitting the corpse up or moving it)

I think it's iconic when she says in FNAF custom night "I was the first I have seen everything" saying she has seen the entire beginning of the FNAF series from the 2nd child being put in a suit to FNAF breach seeing the world rebuilt hundreds of times in their eyes.

The transformation of Chica's design is EXHAUSTING. There was absolutely no reason to take her in such a sexualized direction. She is a giant chicken originally inhabited by the soul of a little girl. like wtf.
She's not really sexualized in-game. That's more of you having a predisposed bias since you have seen the fanart. If you look at the raw designs for the game and nothing else, the only thing they've done is give Chica a more humanoid shape. Yet they've done that with all of the animatronics, just look at Toy Bonnie, he's got a pretty similar shape, yet is not considered sexualized.
In defense of the "toy" designs, all of them have no "clothing". The only one that does is Chica. She has the pink outline for some form of bottom. They could have just made her completely yellow (which they did for Rockstar Chica), but that's about all you can really argue about it.
Edit: I believe what most people are doing is as I described in the second sentence. They're mistaking a vaguely feminine shape for "sexualizing" when in reality it is a very tame design being projected onto by prior engagement with fanart.

And yes, truly they can just be giant blocky designs like in the original game and that's it but clearly they wanted the animatronics to become more humanoid in shape. @@V8_Diva dude i can not express to you how drawing a bust and a skinny waist on a chicken, especially one you KNOW are sexualized by your audience, is not simply "femininity". To think you need to do that to portray the femininity of your character is wrong. This has been spoken about repeatedly with animation "femininizing" the animals in movies. Plus, in a game where they are animal models with children's souls, that being how you choose to display their femininity is also troublesome.

I was going to say the same thing lol. I think its more of a stereotypical impression of us southern folk. Media often portrays states like MS to talk like that or even a slight New Orleans mix into our accent when it doesn't. People just don't correct it or care to actually check and see if it's true.
