- Mangle is one of the creepiest of all Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics. Once Funtime Foxy, Mangle lost its identity after constant disassembly and reassembly which led to its horrifying appearence. In this new episode of FNAF animatronics explained we take a look at Mangle and it's twisted backstory, as well as looking at alternate versions such as Phantom Mangle and Nightmare Mangle. So sit back, relax and let's take a walk down memory lane with another FNAF nostalgia trip...

I think mangel is a femme version of Funtime foxy caus c'mon man nightmare has lip stick and is called male but in ultimate custom night she has a sweet female voice that sounds glitched it could be that mangle is female but some bios refer to the Endo head being male and when addressing them both Scott call mangle yes so I think it's more of a two in one deal.
If you really think about it, it makes sense since mangle was thorn apart and put back together chances are high that there are both male and female endo parts

Honestly FNaF ended. A new era of better games, better gameplay, and a great story has been born for us to enjoy. FNaF ended alright, but only to make way for something just as great, if not better.
DaCota Cain I agree to an extent. I think the old age of Fnaf is over, specifically the main four games and maybe even sister location.
But I think there’s still a part of Fnaf that’s alive due to stuff like help wanted, the ar app, and the new game coming out on the Ps5. Though it doesn’t have the same influence these days either

Fun Fact : Mangle's description in Ultimate Custom Night uses both gender pronouns, saying 'Unlike the other animatronics in the vents, once Mangle reaches the vent opening HE will never leave. Use the vent-snare to prevent HER from making it that far.

i think mangles fox head is a female and the endo head is male. in ultimate custom night endo has a male voice and mangles voice is feminine
Mangle has the red cheeks that the other male animatronics have, so trying to say the base animatronic itself is a female isn’t exactly a good argument. It was said before foxy had been remade to be more kid friendly- adding the clown makeup and clown theme all together and changing pirates cove to kids cove, same as funtime foxy. So my own idea is that the second head came from the first model of toy foxy after the kids just turned them into a take apart attraction, hence the three gold coloured eyes, three legs and matching sized endoskeleton heads.

You can see this Mangle in it’s natural habitat, gracefully hanging of the pizzeria ceiling. Stalking it’s usual prey, the common underpaid employee, also known as night guard.
As it begins it’s attack it hangs and waits for it’s prey to open the monitor, the NightGuard does not stand a chance
As the mangle comes right in the office to attack it’s prey, it jumps from the ceiling taking a bite from the night guard. Perfect strike
Over thousands of years of Evolution, the nightguards have developed the smart defense mechanism of putting empty Freddy shells onto their heads to Trick mangle into not attacking them

In my headcanon, the endoskeleton head on her was originally an animatronic parrot, which was a male, but because the two got built into a single entity, they got refered to as gender-neutral.

Fun Fact: in FNaF 2, there is a mode in the Custom Night called Ladies Night Out, which only has Withered Chica, Toy Chica, and, the one were talking about here, Mangle activated. This may further support that Mangle is female. Just wanted to say that

Oh boy. I was searching for some stuff, and I found my old drawings of her. Since I was a kid, I have this love about her, she is just unique and twisted compared to other toy animatronics!
Fun Fact:There is more than 3 mangles in ultimate custom night,This 4th mangle is called Tangle,they’re A recolored mangle,but instead or being a character to select or something that dee dee spawns,they are a rare Easter egg,they are found on your desk.(this version of mangle is also found in Fnaf world)
My favorite animatronic, because of how weird-looking/ most blatantly robotic/ tragic they are. I find them both horrifying and oddly adorable, wanting to simultaneously hug them and keep them at bay with a crucifix and/or flamethrower.
Basically, I find it REALLY hard to hate them, because they've been (possibly) given life through mad science and were summarily mistreated by the very children they were designed to entertain... and yet, they still want to protect those kids, forcing themselves to move in spite of the definite AGONY, just to kill the perceived kiddie killer ( although they unfortunately think WE'RE the killer, simply because of our position, not because they saw us do anything).
This is the exact reason I love mangle too

I always had a theory on Mangle; that the animatronic was inhabited by two spirits: A male dog, and his owner the little girl who was tricked by Springtrap. The main head is the dog, seeking out the one responsible for the death of the little girl (the smaller humanoid head).
The theory is debunked, I'm sure, but it would make for one of the most interesting amalgamation explanations.

I love Mangle so much, they have always been my favorite character ever since I got into fnaf. I don't even know why I love them so much, I just naturally gravitated towards them when I watched playthroughs of fnaf 2. Mangel really makes me think of a guard dog of sorts.
They are faster and more agile than the other animatronics, but not as intellegent. They also seem less cordinated in their attacks and can be easily spotted, reminding me of a overy aggressive hound.
And of course, when they spot the security guard, they call out to the other animatronics so they arrive at the location. Or, in other words, they are marking the position of the pray by barking, like most hunting dogs do.
Considering the soul is (maybe a theory not sure) Susie’s dogs soul i geuss it’s Susie’s guard dog

Yess! Mangle has always been one of my favorite Fnaf characters I love him and his backstory about like the kids destroying him, and how she climbs up the roof and makes that nasty crackling sound, also he’s from Fnaf 2 which is my favorite Fnaf game.

I never thought mangle was calling the other animatronics. I always thought it was trying to contact police (the voices within the static) as a caution to the previous happenings of the old restaurant. I just figured with the kids messing breaking mangle so many time, whatever processors that maybe identifies suspects adults in the pizzeria constantly malfunctions and sees all adults as a danger.

Fun Fact: Did you know that in Ultimate custom night when reading how to defeat mangle it refers to mangles gender as him AND her I checked and this is only for mangle it doesn’t say this for say phantom mangle or nightmare mangle

the Distorted noises or radio sound says "A boy missing his frontal lobe he is not doing good" i think it talking about the Bite of 87
