THE KUKIS WERE ALLOWED TO SETTLE AT THANGJING HILL RANGES AND SOUTH- WEST-VALLEY OF MOIRANG BY MANIPUR KING IN 1872 ******In January and February 1872, during the expedition against the Lushais (By Manipur king ) ,some 649 kuki captives (by Lushais ) were rescued and 2,112 refugees came to seek the Maharaja's protection and settled in Manipur . As to the captives rescued ,they are all Khongjai Kukis and subjects of Manipur ;they were from time to time carried into captivity some years ago from NUNGTHUR Hills,and villages in the vicinity of CHIBU ,by the LUSHAIS ... As for the refugees ,out of 2,112 ,including men women and children , 373 are fo sooti tribe ,957 Paites ,110 Simtes ,612 Lushais from Bonghung's villages ,which were destroyed by Kamhow's forces . The whole of the above have been settled by the Maharaja of manipur in THANGJING ranges of HILLS and valley SOUTH -WEST of MOIRANG ,have had lands allotted to them ,and arrangement have been made for their future safety and protection.They have also been provided food until they raised crops for themselves * SOURCE : NATIVE STATE OF MANIPUR BY R.BROWN ,FRCSE .

They don’t have a sense of belongingness to the place they live. - Why Kukis don't want to end this violence and always call for separate administration? Because they most likely MANUFACTURED this violence to push their demand for the Separate Administration. If this violence ends, they lose their demand for the separate administration. - Why Kukis choose "violence" as a means to demand for the Separate Administration? Historically, Kukis are known for attacking other communities. They have conflict with many communities in several North Eastern states in India. At present, they are creating similar violence in 3 different countries at the same time (Myanmar, India and Bangladesh). Even the British were fed with their nature.

When the father(CM/PM) head of the family is not doing his responsibilities properly,of course there will be fights and quarrels in the family. But there's some brothers trying and taking initiative to keep peace and harmony between the brothers. So guy's , why can't we give respect and support to those brothers instead of judging and having negativity thoughts. Young and small plants will give you a good fruits if we watered them properly. THE KUKIS WERE ALLOWED TO SETTLE AT THANGJING HILL RANGES AND SOUTH- WEST-VALLEY OF MOIRANG BY MANIPUR KING IN 1872
******In January and February 1872, during the expedition against the Lushais (By Manipur king ) ,some 649 kuki captives (by Lushais ) were rescued and 2,112 refugees came to seek the Maharaja's protection and settled in Manipur .
As to the captives rescued ,they are all Khongjai Kukis and subjects of Manipur ;they were from time to time carried into captivity some years ago from NUNGTHUR Hills,and villages in the vicinity of CHIBU ,by the LUSHAIS ...
As for the refugees ,out of 2,112 ,including men women and children , 373 are fo sooti tribe ,957 Paites ,110 Simtes ,612 Lushais from Bonghung's villages ,which were destroyed by Kamhow's forces .
The whole of the above have been settled by the Maharaja of manipur in THANGJING ranges of HILLS and valley SOUTH -WEST of MOIRANG ,have had lands allotted to them ,and arrangement have been made for their future safety and protection.They have also been provided food until they raised crops for themselves *

This is just one small step towards their dream to build a Kukiland by carving out portions from Myanmar, India and Bangladesh. Historically, Kukis are known to be nomadic/migrating community. They don’t have a sense of belongingness to the place they live.
