The Magician of Black Chaos is still such a beautiful and iconic card. Wholeheartedly agree it would be so much more expensive if it was released in a core TCG set. Another great video on a lesser popular set.

Gotta agree that og ritual cards look the best, but konami did the top end Ritual cards from Duel Monsters dirty in terms of scarcity. Black Luster Soilder and magician of black chaos are both iconic but so common.
It's interesting to hear about the secret variants. I remember reading YGO forums back during the set release in 2007 and everybody said the secret variants were misprints and were only in the first wave

i just bought a collection with a few pp1 secrets. i think that Zera is my favorite, and quite possibly one of my favorite cards i own based on looks.

I own the super and secret version of Red Eyes B Metal Dragon from this set and for yrs didn't know why there were two versions.
The SR version is still my favorite card of everything in my collection and even though its in played condition, I'll never let it go.
I don't think the marshmallon misprint is a booster box exclusive. Back as a kid, I definitely remember pulling one from a blister pack from the store. But I do think that they were from the first wave of PP01. This was the TCG's first all-foil set and they had many QC issues. Misprints like no-name, no eye of anubis, miscuts, etc were fairly common right at release.
I want to clear up - by blisters, I mean the ones that held two PP01 packs and had this fancy velcro fold-out. For some reason I can't find any pictures of this product online, but they were everywhere in Walmarts etc back in 2007.
I have a lot of these and I’d agree with the top favorites but I’m actually a fan of Javlin Beatle and Black Magic Ritual as well

Also I must ask; is there a Super Rare PP01 Marshmallon? My friend claims he used to own one from back in the day. I tried searching but there are no known sources of it existing. And will you do videos on "Sample" cards? I own a SDY unlimited Summoned Skull "Sample" card, and an acquaintance says there's a 1st edition of it. Thanks!

Nice video. I got rid of most of my PP01 a while back aside from the Magician of Black Chaos + ritual card. Reason being that I have the Japanese versions of the ritual monsters from one of the super old premium packs before the cards had eye of anubis holograms. I still need the first printing of the Magician though which was a Tokyo Dome attendance card.

Crazy to me that I own some of these cards to this day. Can’t remember how I got them though. Haha. This explains why I have Super Rare versions of them too.

Aren’t the secret rare variants misprints? seems an odd things for Konami to do. Just seemed someone got the wrong memo about the rarities in the pack and had to change them.

and the card look fine the foil and texture is good, big off center though'
and the bigger part is it doesnt have the bottom right corner thing
is the card fake or just a misprint???

The quality of PP01 is terrible. Print lines and often off centered. A PSA 10 population is still a pop 34. The poor print quality should keep the pops low Longterm. They are truly hard to find in PSA 10. Zera especially
