The reason why the Virgen de Guadalupe is prelevant in LOS ANGELES is because of the original name of the city was Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles. Translated is "Our lady of the Angels." When Calfifornia became part of the United States many names of cities were changed but some were kept in their original Spanish names Santa Barbara, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, Santa Ana etc....

She is the epitome of a beautiful mother. Everything about her spoke to native Indians. Her turquoise cloak meaning Royalty, her parted hair signifies virginity, the black ribbon meaning pregnancy, standing in front of the sun and above the moon meaning she was greater than their gods, the upside down flowers looking like human hearts ending their sacrifices, the one flower on her womb meant the highest God, the stars exactly as seen from the heavens as a sign of divinity. To the Indians it was an entire story without words, the one they were waiting for in prophesies came to them via the mother.
Before colonization came and it became a patriarchal society, Indians were more matriarchal in a sense. One can never deny a mothers bloodline because it’s impossible to say that you were not from said mother. That’s why the Lady of Guadalupe was not ignored, it’s irrefutable that she carried the living God inside her in if they looked at this picture.

As a Catholic first, I love seeing Christian symbols taking up public space and I pray those who see the Lady will be blessed and reminded of Christianity and the Lord Jesus Christ. In particular Our Lady of Guadalupe is so beautiful, I fell in love with the Mother when I was a child because I always saw her image in my grandmother's house. When I was a student at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago one of my compatriots was really taken with The Virgin of Guadalupe. She put the image on lots of things-shopping bags, scarfs. I think she was devout, which was odd, given that most of the artists I know do not revere the Virgin that way. But I was much older than the other students so my frame of reference was quite different from theirs anyway.

    Revelation 12:1-2
A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

Who wrote the vision of the woman of Revelation 12:1? John.

John 19 ..”Jesus, therefore, seeing his mother and the disciple (John) whom he loved standing by, said to his mother: “Woman, behold thy son.” Then, he said to the disciple “Behold thy mother.”
Mary famously told St. Juan Diego in his native language of Nahuatl, “Listen, put it into your heart, most little of MY SONS!!!:”

@@bench-clearingbrawl7737 The woman symbolizes Israel. Genesis 37 tells us Joseph, Jacob's favored son, had a dream in which Jacob's other sons and his parents bowed down to him. When he told his father Jacob about the dream, his father immediately applied the imagery. The sun and moon were Joseph's father and mother, Jacob-also named Israel-and Rachel. Joseph's brothers were the eleven stars. The crown on the woman's head probably signifies that Christ's future kingdom will center in Israel. Although Joseph's brothers bowed down to him in Egypt (Genesis 42:6), someday restored Israel will bow down to Jesus, who is far greater than Joseph.

The miraculous appearance of the woman of Revelation ch.12:1 in the Tepeyach, Mexico in 1531 to a Mechica/Aztec man named Juan (John) and the message to him was prophecy coming to pass of Revelation ch.12. If you can breakdown the prophecies of of that chapter to what was going on in Mexico in 1531 and the appearance to a man named Juan which is John in English, bro it makes a lot of sense.
Revelation speaks of a woman that is exactly without a shadow of a doubt the same as the tilma of Guadalupe.
Also, in the same chapter 12 is talking about the red dragon which was the Roman Empire in the time of John. And in 1531 the Roman Empire came back as the “Renaissance” means to reborn again, the Roman Empire was born again as the Spanish conquistadors under the Roman Catholic authority. They went to war with the Mechica tribe specifically to take them down.
      Mexi-co
      Mexi-cah
      Mechi-ca
      Meshi-cah
      Meshi-ah
      Meshi-yach
Mexico literally means Messiah. Read above my linguistic breakdown how is the same word.
Put it all together. It made sense that she appeared to the same man but now in Mexico 1531

    • @bench-clearingbrawl7737
      @bench-clearingbrawl7737 ปีที่แล้ว

That’s your interpretation. Genesis 37 has no prophetic connection to Revelation ch.12. You’re missing the woman and the red dragon. Revelation ch 12 came to pass in Mexico in 1531.
She appeared to a man named Juan (John), during the time of the Spanish conquest of death and destruction of the nation of the Meshi-cah (Mexi-co) under the Roman Catholic authority which was the Red Dragon. Evidently that woman that appeared to Juan called him, “ most little of my sons.” Just like Jesus told Mary to call John while he was on the cross John 19:26.
Nevertheless, There’s hundreds of ancient writings first European contact with the Mexica that shows and prove that the Mexica were lost descendants of Judah. The original birthplace of the Mexicas and the Aztecs was in UTAH a.k.a Yudah, same word. Put all the pieces and dots together it makes sense that you or any scholar can’t debunk.

As a Roman Catholic, I view the fascination with “the holy mother/virgin” as a collective sublimation of the inherent misogyny of the big 3 religions. All 3 claim to venerate women, while simultaneously subjugating them. These images are powerful, wherein women in their daily lives have only the power their fathers/husbands/sons/the law allows them.

Who said that Mary is God? FYI The Trinity dogma is a Catholic dogma and nowhere does it states that Mary is part of the Triune God. Our Lady of Guadalupe destroyed the satanic Aztec ritual of their leaders because Mary is in perpetual battle of the devil as foreshadowed in GEN 3:15. Mary is the woman of Revelation/Ark of the New Covenant/NT Gebirah/Daughter of Zion. REV 12 is a clear description of the battle between the woman who brought forth The Messiah King Jesus (Mary) and the dragon (devil) by John by witnessing Mary as the Ark of the Covenant of the NT (REV 11:19) revealing itself as the Queen Mother of heaven (crowned with 12 stars) battling the dragon in REV 12 in the end times. This war was foreshadowed in the Old Testament in GEN 3:15 when God gave enmity between the woman (Mary) and the serpent (devil) meaning they are in perpetual battle eternally because Mary is the mother of the Lord God, the NT Gebirah, all mothers of the Davidic kings of Israel were rightfully called "Queen Mothers". The queenship in heaven is in PSALM 45:9 SIRACH 24. This is why Mary is the queen crowned with 12 stars seen by John in Revelation 12.
Mary is the WOMAN of Revelation because she was always addressed as a woman / lady by his Son Jesus (JOHN 2; JOHN 19-25-29), Gnyai in the original Greek, a title of respect given to her office.
GALATIANS 4:4-5 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a WOMAN, made under the law: 5 That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons.
ISA 7:14 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel.

When will people learn to pronounce Guadalupe correctly? It's not GWA-da-lupe but more like WAH-da-lupe.
One can insert words that have GUA in them into Google Translate to confirm this. Spanish speaking people would never say OG-wa for "agua" (water).
Two of my aunts were named Guadalupe and they were never called GWA-da-lupe.

This is why you should read the bible. Mary wasn't even called Mary, her name was Miriam the same as Moses sister. Besides that image isn't even Christian, that entity it's called Tonantzin, she decided to just change her name, to not dissappear.

    • @gcallejamd
      @gcallejamd ปีที่แล้ว +3

Maria, Marie, Mary,... are just translation of the Hebrew Miriam in modern languages. I am sure you read the Bible in English and not in the original languages it was written. The image is imprinted in the tilma of Juan Diego. It is not a painting. It is an imprint in 3D and has no animal, vegetable or mineral elements on it, which rules out painting. The image has been digitalized and magnified. Then it was discovered that there were human images on her eyes. These images corresponded to the people who were present when Juan Diego opened his tilma in front of the bishop. It is known who were present because it is documented. If the images represented in both eyes are studied, they are stereoscopically correct. All these studies date back to the 70's and were done by people from NASA. NASA admitted that it is impossible with today's technology to create such an image. Forget about Tonantzin, nothing to do with Guadalupe. By the way, Juan Diego could not have said Guadalupe as G does not exist in Aztec language. Whatever word Juan Diego said, sounded as Guadalupe to the bishop and the people present.
Finally, a tilma is made from the vegetable fibers of a cactus and with good luck and care it can last a couple of decades. Diego's Tilma is about five centuries old and has not been kept in any special environment.

Hmmm... only Jesus can save - the Virgin Mary was just a young woman chosen by God to be the vessel for which our Savior would be born.
Rather than place the focus on her, it should be on Jesus. While I agree she deserves all our respect, she is not to be worshipped or prayed to the way so many people do.
She does not protect - she was a woman who gave birth to the One who does protect.
If you don't like what I'm saying, then so be it.
    Bible verse: Exodus 20: 4-5
I will repeat - nothing wrong with giving her respect because she was a true example of a woman of faith. BUT SHE IS NOT GOD NOR JESUS - only our Creator protects no one else.
She was a human being like the rest of us.

    John 1:1-17
    King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
    John 3:16-18
    King James Version
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
