There’s something about the camera that makes the world look bigger. Vanilla Skyrim is big, don’t get me wrong, but this makes it feel so much more vast. It’s like you’re actually in a country that’s huge and will take time to get across
You know you've been playing skyrim way too long and way to much when you look at this and go "oh look, it's glorious doors by hype1" and "ah, the armors by nordwar" 😂
No doubt that Skyrim looks and feels like a new game with Nolvus installed. I only wished there was a way to compress or reduce the file size and streamline the installation process and load times. I just got a new PC that runs with a 4090, 32GB RAM, and 2 SSD Gaming drives. The game still takes around 5 minutes just to launch. The size of the game becomes insanely large with this mod. Skyrim took about 80% of the 1TB drive I used to install it on.
You might need to update your drivers. I’m running mine on a 3060 w 32gr and it loads in about a minute. Also I have the ultra installed and my Skyrim only takes up 425? I roughly get 40fps bc of my 3060 though. I need to upgrade it.

It's quite good fun skipping to a random part & trying to recognize the location before the game tells us. Looks radically different, but somehow oh so familiar....
@Scott423 i built a higher end AMD rig. 7900xtx, 7800x3d, 32gb gskill ddr 6000 cl30 ram, b650 edge mobo, noctua nf-a12x25 fans, lian li dynamic evo case, corsair rm1000x shift psu, 4tb sn850x ssd, Lt720 cpu aio.
It's a combination of "Boreal Whiterun" and "Fortified Whiterun" among about a dozen smaller mods that change individual details about Whiterun specifically.
Actually, those were just the mods that I have installed for the "Redux" variant of this modpack, but I recall hearing that the "Ultra" version adds a lot more clutter around cities, so it could be completely different mods for "Ultra". Don't know.
4k is the problem right there. Try 1440p. If you won't have a native 1440p monitor, try the "Resolution Downscaling" option during installation. If, and only if you did not select "DLAA" during installation, and you chose the only other possible choice, TAA, then you can enable resolution downscaling if you do Nolvus Dashboard -> Manage -> Instance -> Settings. If you need to delete your instance and reinstall from archives, remember to back up your saves folder and add them back in after the new instance is installed again in about 30-60 minutes
This looks so cool! I wish i could play it with these mods 😭 That guy that you have to free from the webs, i've played it through so many times I don't even let him run anymore.
I also have Nolvus but i cant get the tkdodge with all the other variants like step dodge etc. to work no matter what, if i download the newer version from Nexus my stances dont work anymore.. Stances are pretty nice keeping the combat refreshing and using many weapons to see all the stances. How did you map the buttons like m5 for shout and did you also map the dodge button?
You get a WAY better start if you go with the imperial at the start of the game, because he will be grateful then his father at the nearest town will also be grateful and you can take his ore without stealing. Then you (if you want to unlock the dragon spawning) grab the quest to get the claw then while there you grab the dragon tablet that unlocks the fight the dragon around the tower and from that time on dragons will keep spawning. Oh and btw they are NOT dragons they are Wyverns, there's a big difrence between dragons and wyverns. And btw reguardles if you go with the imperial or stormcloack dont forget to grab the gold pouch in the cart right before you fight the bear.
Downloading the mod list now. Just wanted to ask, is there any way to keep the vanilla music with this mod? The original jeremy soule score is just about the only thing that i cant see getting bested.
I completely agree with you and while I do not know if that is possible to do in this mod I will say The music in Nolvus is pretty good and it does sprinkle Jeremy Soules Music through out the score.
@@ClearlyMagic I think that you can to back to vanilla music easily enough. Just remove the Nolvus music patch as well. If, however, you wanted to remove just one or a few music mods but keep the other music mods like the amazing "Hun - Lovaas" music mod for combat, then you'll need to figure out how to use xEdit to create your own music mod patch because only the music mod in the lowest position in your load order will win over everything otherwise.

Thanks man. I'm running a 3070 ti with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and 32gs of ram. It runs decently for me. There are other download variants for lower tier systems that are available on the Nolvus website. Give it a try!

Yes. You will have options to run on less intense specs. Just don't max everything out. Im running 7900xtx, 7800x3d, getting 45-50 fps outside, 60-65 fps in caves and indoors. Everything maxed out
Also, don't be afraid to opt for the downscaled resolution with TAA anti-aliasing option. It was the difference between me running at 25 FPS and an average 60 FPS almost everywhere with some momentary dips when the game, I assume is working on loading things in the distance. The vasceline effect isn't too bad, and I get used to it after a while. At least text, to me, is plenty readable, probably thanks to the TAA.
