Thanks for the video and walk around. I will try to buy one of these cars next. They are quite rare in the UK and this car deserves to be bought and preserved.

Recently bought a 2006 2.2 JTS in South Africa. Besides the obligatory battery replacement and a little high-pressure power-steering hose fix, it's been an absolute to joy to have! It is also has a timeless design!

  • @MegaRetr

    Stunning 159 ))))

I just bought my Girlfriend a 2011 159 1750 TBi Ti manual with genuine 65000km on the clock in immaculate condition in the perfect sex on Wheels spec we both could have ever picked from new... Black on Black woth dark tint. So many people stop amd ask what it is first (if they don't know amd say beautiful Alfa) and then ask if it's brand new. To say I can't get enough is an understatement and only more shown in my phones photo gallery that's now loaded with pics of her.... and the girlfriend. Totally the best looking car on the road and sadly, Alfa couldn't reproduce the same effect with the Guilia.

  • @nzraw

Im loving my 159 3.2 4wd sportwagon. Reliable, practical, blah blah. But just the look of it🎉

  • @dart-1923

I have Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTDm 16V turbodiesel in black and I really love it! I'm thinking of buying for the steering wheel a wrap or protector from carbon fiber with the Alfa Romeo logo from Amazon cuz it looks cool AF!! I also want to buy a mini hot wheels of the car or at least the brand Alfa Romeo

I bought a 2011 159 170 JTDM Sportwagon wit 120k on the clock, as a run around and I am obsessed with it. I drive it daily in preference to my very swanky BMW 640 Convertible. Apart from an oil leak it has been flawless. Passed its MOT with no advisories, returns 30 to 40 mpg and puts a constant smile on my face. Oh and it looks amazing.

Thanks for the walk around, your car looks lovely, and I hope you've now forgiven your wife! I managed to buy a red 159 TBi with biscuit leather interior last April. It's been a labour of love, with many thousands spent (including subframes, suspension arms, bushes, drop links, engine mount, oil heat exchanger, head rebuild, fuel lifter pump, air-conditioning pipe plus more). Surprising really given the 49k miles on the clock; I think the gearbox will be next given the sound of the wine it makes. But I can forgive every penny each time I walk up to get into it. I agree, without doubt, one of the best looking (and handling) cars on the road.

Hi. Another brady here! Ive got an alfa 159. Bought it when i was desperate for a cheap car. But fell in love with the design and drive. Its a 2.4 l deusel turbo. Starts every time. Needs some tlc but its worth it. Had to buy an estate. So alfa sat there for a year. My son needed a car so i git back to it an replaced the exhaust, discs brakes and shock absorbers. Needed a bit of welding for mot an had to go through two Mots. But its back on the road now an hes loving it. I was parked in car park a ciuoke of years ago and when i came out there was a brand new mazda next to it. Exact same colour. I couldnt tell them apart! So its still got the looks. Keep on trucking. Excellent drive. 😊

  • @ianlee487

    Stunning 159 ti i had a black 1 2.0 jts looks stunning

  • @rogerbodger

I have a 159 SW, 2.4 jtdm in Lusso trim,, like you I think it's one of the best looking cars on the road, the number of positive comments from others confirms my taste in cars. The power steering pipe has had to be replaced and the low pressure fuel return pipe needed attention after some rodent damage (could have happened to any car). I've had 3 broken coil springs, all 4 dampers have been replaced as have brake discs and both front upper wishbones. I've treated the subframe to try and keep the corrosion at bay. All in all, not bad for a 17 year old car.

  • @merlin51h84

Wish people would stop saying that rubbish about Alfa reliability. I've had my 159 TBI for over 10 years and likewise it's never let me down.

  • @ryanm.3681

Such a shame I can't have this in the USA. I do have a 2022 Giulia Veloce and its pretty sweet

  • @JJHurst

I have a Brera S 2.2 JTS ....no plans to change it anytime soon. There's nothing new that floats my boat...

  • @finnishturtle3059

i have a almost basemodel 159 sportwagon with the 1.9jtdm 150hp and even though there arent that many bells and whistles it is still probably one of the best cars ive ever driven apart from my brothers 147 2.0 selespeed but as it is a selespeed it does have some issues but when it works its phenomenal

  • @michaelstaley2241

Lovely car; considering the age in good condition . Do you garage it I own an mito auto tan Leather vgc low mileage garaged as well. 👍🏻

  • @harj-spp8547

Always loveditalian design and really got my passion going with the Brera, that front gaze it has, the design cues and silouette, oh lord.

  • @jasonparfitt5936

I’m surprised how the wing mirror glass on yours has no corrosion as most 156 and 159 models do.Stone chips are a bugger big time,as the bonnet is fairly low and long.Issues can include brittle coolant bottles, cam lid covers splitting and the gear box in the 159 tbi 1750cc arent the best. And the interior is a bit plastic fantastic .Saying all of that my 2011 plate tbi lusso 1750cc has been very reliable thus far.Mines been mapped from 198 hp to 240 hp ,however don’t expect a roaring beast as it’s fairly quiet. However once it gets going ,it can keep up with newer cars .The curb weight is fairly heavy due to the lump underneath the bonnet,so does not pull away mega quick .After all it’s a saloon and is perfect for motorway cruising ,although surprisingly holds country roads and bends fairly well.Overall out of the 5 Alfas I have owned the 159 1750cc tbi is my favourite .
