Same. There's something oddly charming about the old UI used in both the original versions of IS and EP. Also the battle UI used in the PSP versions are objectively worse and clunky
Seeing games likes these during the PS1 and PS2 era is weirdly refreshing. It's sad how Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have little to no interest in perserving gaming history. Developers could come back to these for inspiration and ideas for future games.
Too bad that they removed that fade-out in the PSP remake, even if you select the original OST (I don't know how to call it), that last two seconds of the battle theme after a random encounter is beaten.
Though fortunately it’s rumoured by a really well known user that persona 1-2 will be getting a remaster or possible remake. Persona 4 will also be getting a remake, just as persona 2.
Can anyone tell me how the battle system in this game works? For me playing it yesterday I thought it was on auto-battle because I couldn't call my persona, I didn't know how tarot cards work and contracts
I haven't played this game at all... but for PS1 game, this is a pretty good-looking game, i would say PSP or even PS2 standard. Quite similar to TLoH Trails in the Sky. Also i found it has familiar sfx when opening or choosing menu, similar to this : th-cam.com/video/iaVT-NZRJBE/w-d-xo.html
It did eventually get a remaster on the psp, bringing mostly ui improvements and some other stuff. Though this game is likely to be getting a remaster/remake soon according to a leaker with a perfect record.
Can SOMEONE explain how to use magic/personas in this game?? My guys will only auto-attack with their weapons and for the life of me I cant get them to cast any goddamn magic or anything. I just beat principal hanya and I figure I should have some magic by now. Any help appreciated....
I looking at this gameplay and it seems similar to Devil Survivor. I definitely wouldn't want to play this on the big screen but this game seems more suitable today on a portable console. And before you are triggered by this, I have played SMT 3, Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5, Persona 5 Strikers, SMT Demon Summoner 1 & 2, and Devil Survivor 1 but not 2 because I don't own a 3DS.
I wanna learn about the story of this game since I heard it's pretty good, but god that gameplay looks so dated. I could barely stand P3 and P4's gameplay....

@@Swam0811 PSP only, PS1 IS version is locked in japan. This is switched around in the PSP re-releases where EP is the one that is japan locked

Just started this on my ps classic. I was from psx an saturn era. Never played this til now though. Only Persona 4.

Press the “strategy” portion in the first menu screen, then you can select the skills for each individual
