Let’s be clear, Azula does not need support to when battles, in fact it’s vice versa….thats why Iroh let Zuko know “Nah…you can’t take her by yourself, I don’t what those dragons taught you!”Also let’s not forget that Azula completely outclassed Toph, Ang and Sokka without her bending and let’s not act like the Tai-Lee agents gave her the advantage bc they didn’t. Azula took on two fire bending masters, a earthbending master, a water bending master and the greatest airbender of all time and still came out unscathed. Lastly, remember when Ang was floating around in the air Toph couldn’t see to attack him or defend herself. Azula can basically fly with her fire-blasts and would definitely use that skill to her advantage and Toph would be absolutely helpless and Azula would go in for the kill. Azula’s tactical mind, agility, sheer force, power, determination, creativity, adaptability and supreme bending abilities won’t allow her to lose to our girl Toph. Not gonna happen. Toph is my favorite bender and character of the Avatar Universe, but a sane Azula is just about unmatched.
Fr and in the comics azula got a power up, she also regained her sanity. She was able to beat mai and ty Lee without any bending and she was able to take down zuko easily and she was holding back against zuko cause she was trying to convince him to doing something. Not to mention she can redirect lighting, instantly generate it, make a lightning sphere, and shape it to her will.

Azula is overpowered and overskilled, and its understandable, she’s the villain, she needed to be. But if you place Azula and Toph out of the stories context (where you have them conforming to plot) then I think they'd both be equally matched, because lets be fair, Toph is also pretty much overpowered. The only difference is we had to take the time to learn Toph’s skills (character development) while Azula had always been a devil.
I know Azula can exploit Toph's ability to see with her feet burning them, but I feel like if Toph notices what is trying to do, she can cover her feet with earth to prevent her from being burned

I’m going to have to be obvious I love Toph but fire is the counter element to earth. Also her being stealthy like an air bender is what makes Toph lose. If she flies and does something she can’t see she has lost the battle. Its actually 50 50 tbh, as long they r fighting with and on ground, toph will always stand a chance. Ye azula can fly midair n agile, but i think u guys forgot the plot armor she has. Realistically speaking, toph can just cover herself with walls n charge up the strength to shaken the ground n surroundings, forcing azula to fly, then toph can start firing earth shards n dust in every direction if she rly lost track of azula, n there is no way u guys gonna argue that azula can somehow throw lightning at toph while dealing with all these. If Toph wears metal armour she'll still be vulnerable bcoz metal would conduct the heat and electricity About katara winning Azula is something people misunderstand, bcoz in Ba Sing se katara would've used her water limbs to hold and hit Azula on the ground only for Azula to get up and keep fighting and in sozin's comet and the comics Azula wasn't in her right state of mind. In a proper fight with both at their peaks Azula would use katara to wipe the floor Toph can use the environment to her advantage but she likely may not think about it and even still Azula's blue fire can break through her attacks and defenses. If Toph tries to bury Azula in quicksand then Azula will see it and avoid it and she'd likely figure out Toph can use the environment and dash around the battlefield like with her agni Kai against Zuko. Even if Toph catches her in stone or iron, Azula's blue fire can and will destroy it as her fire could break aang's diamond/crystal armour and how she broke free from Toph's stone cuffs in "the day of black sun" episode While flying may tire Azula out, Azula can use blue firs to dash around the battlefield and avoid touching the ground, after all she knows Toph is blind and will probably if noe likely figure out Toph's seismic sense, the fire dash would make Azula more difficult to hit than the day of black sun and she can dash around Toph and fire at her from many directions at once and Azula can instantly generate lightning which means while on the fire dash she can electrocute Toph A sane Azula would play dirty and if things aren't going right for Azula she can can play dirty, for instance, a surprise attack in "The chase" episode, which Toph wasn't prepared for. Azula’s tactical mind, agility, sheer force, power, determination, creativity, adaptability and supreme bending abilities won’t allow her to lose to our girl Toph. Not gonna happen. Toph is my favorite bender and character of the Avatar Universe, but a sane Azula is just about unmatched.
Fr and in the comics azula got a power up, she also regained her sanity. She was able to beat mai and ty Lee without any bending and she was able to take down zuko easily and she was holding back against zuko cause she was trying to convince him to doing something. Not to mention she can redirect lighting, instantly generate it, make a lightning sphere, and shape it to her will.
Katara could end her with blood bending, if she wanted to.

Azula is overpowered and overskilled, and its understandable, she’s the villain, she needed to be. But if you place Azula and Toph out of the stories context (where you have them conforming to plot) then I think they'd both be equally matched, because lets be fair, Toph is also pretty much overpowered. The only difference is we had to take the time to learn Toph’s skills (character development) while Azula had always been a devil.

I’m going to have to be obvious I love Toph but fire is the counter element to earth. Also her being stealthy like an air bender is what makes Toph lose. If she flies and does something she can’t see she has lost the battle. Its actually 50 50 tbh, as long they r fighting with and on ground, toph will always stand a chance. Ye azula can fly midair n agile, but i think u guys forgot the plot armor she has. Realistically speaking, toph can just cover herself with walls n charge up the strength to shaken the ground n surroundings, forcing azula to fly, then toph can start firing earth shards n dust in every direction if she rly lost track of azula, n there is no way u guys gonna argue that azula can somehow throw lightning at toph while dealing with all these. I don't know if that Toph would know the jet propulsion or lightning bcoz in Toph vs Ghazan it was clear that noisy water from katara was coming at Toph and she wasn't aware so I don't know about the hearing of attacks
Even if Toph knew lightning was coming her way she won't be fast enough to react to the blue fire or lightning. If Toph wears metal armour she'll still be vulnerable bcoz metal would conduct the heat and electricity
About katara winning Azula is something people misunderstand, bcoz in Ba Sing se katara would've used her water limbs to hold and hit Azula on the ground only for Azula to get up and keep fighting and in sozin's comet and the comics Azula wasn't in her right state of mind. In a proper fight with both at their peaks Azula would use katara to wipe the floor
Toph can use the environment to her advantage but she likely may not think about it and even still Azula's blue fire can break through her attacks and defenses. If Toph tries to bury Azula in quicksand then Azula will see it and avoid it and she'd likely figure out Toph can use the environment and dash around the battlefield like with her agni Kai against Zuko. Even if Toph catches her in stone or iron, Azula's blue fire can and will destroy it as her fire could break aang's diamond/crystal armour and how she broke free from Toph's stone cuffs in "the day of black sun" episode
While flying may tire Azula out, Azula can use blue firs to dash around the battlefield and avoid touching the ground, after all she knows Toph is blind and will probably if noe likely figure out Toph's seismic sense, the fire dash would make Azula more difficult to hit than the day of black sun and she can dash around Toph and fire at her from many directions at once and Azula can instantly generate lightning which means while on the fire dash she can electrocute Toph
A sane Azula would play dirty and if things aren't going right for Azula she can can play dirty, for instance, a surprise attack in "The chase" episode, which Toph wasn't prepared for. She can feel stone and iron (probably) but she can't detect plasma

I think Toph can beat Azula especially now with the metal bending.. Toph is good at playing defense, so even if Azula quickly notices that Toph realizes on her feet to see.. I think Toph could have handled it..

I understand she is a skilled tactical fighter, I understand her speed gives her the advantage, but still Azula biggest disadvantage is her arrogance & underestimating her opponent.. Plus, Toph is Aware she can use lightning & probably found a way to defend herself from that.. Metal is not her only ability or reliable source Toph can use.. Toph can only just use the metal just to defend herself from Azula’s powerful fire blasts.. and since Azula isn’t really aware of Tophs other abilities like the metal or sand bending.. I’m pretty sure Toph will still have the upper hand. We literally watched Azula pretty get taken twice by Katara with lil to no effort, and katara master water bending in a few months while Azula been training/ been a prodigy her whole life.

And how exactly do you believe Sandbending will help Toph fighting Azula? You forget Azula is capable of thinking strategy on the fly right? Keep in mind this is the same Azula Toph had trouble keeping down with Aang and Sokka's help during the Black Eclipse and she was without her firebending. Azula can fly, and her firebending abilities is more than capable of overwhelming Toph, as she's a prodigy herself. Have you forgotten in The Beach episode, Azula was able to decipher a person's weakness just by a glance at her? She's that attune to detail. Plus she's able to adapt, and she's just as creative with her bending as Toph is with hers. And another factor is Azula is more than willing to resort to dirty tactics. Again I really think you're giving Toph way too much credit, and not enough to Azula.
