The fans don’t want to see fake benchings and injuries to lose intentionally, they want honesty; therefore, developed players should be traded to avoid tanking and dishonesty and have a young, undeveloped team that naturally loses while trying to learn and win, huge difference.
I stumbled on to Cooper Flagg well over a year ago. At the time I was trying to find any and all video of Kwame Evans who had just committed to Oregon. Cooper Flagg was Evans' teammate at Montverde and only a sophomore. Yet, I found he was the one doing most of the playmaking. Flagg was amazing.
That said, I'm not ready to put him on the fast track toward being one of the top 10 of all time where you do whatever it takes to get him.
Man look I'm 42 years of age and I haven't been so hyped for a prospect like Cooper Flagg since LeBron the only difference is Cleveland was guaranteed to get LeBron and we might have a chance at getting Cooper.
Well we have the coach to tank for Flagg but certainly wouldn’t be bad to find a trade for Ayton, Grant and Ant just to be sure. Scoot, Shaedon, Clingan, Deni and Flagg would be a sick core to roll into the future with. But yeah just let it naturally happen, seems like the league isn’t letting the lotto reward teams that obviously tank. Cough cough (Detroit)
I would hate to have to wait until draft night next year to see Blazers trade any of their vets, but if it means getting two of the top six guys in the draft, so be it.
You aren’t guaranteed the top spot. Don’t give up Grant for less than he is worth
Fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. Teams don’t really have much control since the draft lottery is a total crapshoot. Even if they lost every game next year they’d still only have like a 14% chance at the #1 pick. Just play the season out and let the chips fall where they may.

Agreed. They don't know. Flagg is worth tanking for, even if its not a buck that we get him. Trade Grant, Ant and Aydon for as many picks we can get, and load up in next years draft. My goal would be to secure 3 lottery picks in next year's pick. The draft is loaded with building blocks we can use, but Flagg is the hopes.
I'm a fan, and I can say that I'd have fun watching the blazers tank. I wouldn't fret. I'd still go to the games. I'd understand the BIGGER picture. But to say let the chips fall where they may is fair, but manufacturing one of the leagues worst 3 records is all were asking. And possbily buying the other 2 if possible. lol
TANK FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE, or stall the rebuild that won't amount to anything in the end. Flagg makes this team a Championship contender. GLAD TO SEE SOME ARE AWAKE TO THE TRUTH.

trade Ayton, Grant, Simons, Robert to any teams for unprotected 1st round picks next year. Bundle in any future 1st that we have.

If Scoot and Sharpe improve like they're supposed to, with this current roster, the Blazers are sniffing the 8 seed.
They have to trade those guys if they want that pick, and they want that pick to be near the top of the lottery.

We were three worst this year and what happened? The 10-place teams got the number 1 pick. Just sounds like a dumb non-strategy. They are not that good and should be playing to win. More time is only good if the players are ready for that time. It is not good growth to get your ass kicked every night. They won't win because they are not that good but playing to lose breeds a losing culture. Sorry couldn't disagree with you more.

Saying that tanking time is over is absurd. This franchise still has no one they can truly build around. Tank until you get a star and with the next draft there are two players at the top worth tanking for.
