In the first situation when you had the ferrox you can pick up both eggs at the same time with F.
On official there are 4x as many magmasaurs in those pits.. I counted 45 in the pit where you got the last egg. I lowed my stalker with C, jump off, and then grab the egg and run way with stalker because it's still attacked to the ceiling.

See, it's a great method as long as HLNA doesn't derp out and forget to teleport your tame with you.

Cryopod your tame beforehand I guess.
If you teleport and your tame isn't with you, whistle follow and then move away from the area. I and some others on my server have had the tame not be visible when you get to your destination.

My only issue with the Ferox is his climbing is super glitchy and he gets stuck. You got pretty lucky that there were no Magmasaurs remotely close to you on that run.

You see, the server I play, there is 50+ magmasaurs in each lava pit, making it extremely difficult to steal them without getting shot by more than 3 magmasaurs at a time.
A User, I would suggest taking low level blood stalkers and making a set of cloth armor. Jump in, grab, get out. Make sure you wait for a section of eggs to be semi vacated of magmasaurs and then jump in to grab. Then hook up to roof and you are good. The reason is that low levels are expendable.
I would talk to the server admin about the spawn rate if there are that many magmasaurs in one area
Same there are usually like 10-20 on official servers ... it usual takes me 3 trips to have a successful one... rip like 20 ferox

lol a fine tactic until you try it on an official server where the fps is a blinding 3 to 10 and for some reason theres sometimes as many as 60 magma's on the nest
Yeah I tried to get one and the game was just a slide show and my blood stalker was just sacrificing itself and throwing itself into the lava

Whys the spot so empty for you that exact spot got like 10-16 magmasaurs surrounding it at all times and as I kill them another spawns it's like I'm chopping the head of hydras

Would you be interested in doing a "Best dinos to solo extinction drops" vid? now that there are new dinos and frankly soloing a red drop is a pain in the ass without a tek force field, it would be useful
Giga with high armor saddle. I play on official and I solo purples with a giga. I have an owl and Daeodon to heal and argy to carry the loot. Of course I only do purples with spikes. Reds I'll do without spikes.
Try a giga with high armor saddle. I play official and that's what I use to solo reds/purples too. I have an argy in pod for the loot and owl, and Daeodon in pods to heal. I prefer to do drops with metal spike protection as well. I play on official (legacy) and dont have many problems that way.

Your glide method on bloodstalker is smart, but an alternative way is to web the ceiling, and drop down slowly while staying attached using crouch, just like on the grappling hook, and if in danger, retract back to the top. :)
So that’s how it’s done.

Could you do this with bug repellant, a high level thylacoleo, and using an oviraptor to grab the eggs without getting aggro?

Man I sure wish the official server volcano's had this few magmas. At minimum 15 in each of the 2 big pits and usually atleast 4 or 5 in the tiny middle one. Youd never get away with that ferox method on official youd be dead within seconds of landing.

@@NOOBLETS I'm sorry but this method is almost impossible in official where there is a MUCH higher spawn rate of magmasars and lava golems which do aggro to ferrox

This is a great video, but is not practical in official. There are at least 30 magamsuars down in the lava when you try and get an egg off official. There is a magmasaur everywhere you turn.

I used to use the bloodstalker on official server but i'll try the the first way after some breeding, and if Wildcard fixes the magmasaur spawns

I have a question thats been killing me for awhile, How do you see/render the eggs from so far away? I can't find a setting that allows me to see them from anywhere near as far as you in this video? (Nor can I find any answer online myself). I heard there may be an ini server setting, is there something special you did?

My tribe uses cactus soup, parachutes, and the teleport method
These methods are good on private servers but not easily replicated on official as the spawn rates of magmasaurs and trash creatures in the cave is so much higher.

2:54 By default, yes. But it's important to note that the Bloodstalker's glide stance is NOT bound to CTRL. It is actually bound to your pistol whip hotkey (which only happens to be CTRL by default).
It is very frustrating that no one seems to realize the importance of making this distinction. Everywhere I read was saying CTRL, and here I was sitting with customized keybinds wondering why it never worked for me.

I got a lvl 52 with a base level 11 BS on Xbox with like 10fps without teleporting out and trust me it’s a lot easier than you think
i can do it with a snow owl but every time i get the egg it just spoils instantly

I figured out this 2 methods in official server;
1) Kamikaze; you tame a lvl 20 ferox, transform him and whistle him to riot right into the nest and start controlling him until he gets the aggro of all lava magmas, then grab as many eggs as you can. With 700 health in min theyve got like 20k health.
2) I'll take you all; you send a tank like a rex, ferox (cheaper) etc. And only when you see all magmas hitting him you enter w heavy duty weaponry and start killim them, this to avoid the magma bombs that kill you while you ride your mounts. :v
What are the coords
Best method I've found by far is to use a bloodstalker like a grappling hook. Grab the ceiling, lower yourself down low till the magmasaurs aggro, but not low enough for their artillery stuff to hit you. They will aggro and crowd around you. Now, simply retract a bit, move a little over, aggro them further away from their nest, rinse and repeat. Eventually, you should be able to clear a nest COMPLETELY from any magmasaurs. To deaggro the magmasaurs completely, just retract your web almost all the way up (beware the onycs). Once a nest is clear, web down to it, hop off your bloodstalker without detaching the web, grab the egg, get back on your bloodstalker, then retract completely out of reach before the slow-moving magmasaurs can even get close to hitting you. This method takes some patience, and if the volcano starts to erupt you will have to leave so you don't die, but it is the most effective (and cheapest, you don't have to waste all that element) one I have found so far.

I got my first with a Spino. It gets hurt by the Lava but also gets its water boost for some reason. So I just ran to the eggs, grabbed them, and stood on my back legs and killed all the Magmasaur then ran out. Was pretty easy really.
That's pretty funny, water boost from lava haha. But sounds effective

The easiest way to get a Magmasore egg is to nuke the entire volcano from inside out then take the egg from their dead bodies. but if my tips aren't good enough or you don't know how to make a nuke then I know a guy who can help

blue screened so many times, not as bad as ferox cave for disconnect, but so much more dangerous. I hate console but dont understand or have interest and time to research gaming PCs. is there any decent rental or leasing companies? no point me buying, id be ripped off on upgrades and repairs anyway.

hold left CTRL. You can continue to hold control and spam jump to infinitely hop in the air. The glide is key. Just hop hop hop above magmas, the right click up at the ceiling to kite the away. Again, take you time(i rushed way too much at first, lost a lot of lowbie bloods). Once I see a decent opening, glide above and drop down, releasing CTRL. Grab, mount, lookup, rightclick and GTFO! Profits
