Found the best way to get ambergris use the mining drill when it gets them tends to get ~5 doesn't get them from every rock but more often than pick
You can only swim in lava on genesis I tried on ragnorock and it kills it i hope they fix it because you can also only breed on genesis as well
Also the basic engram drill is better than an ascendant one
Another thing practically no one does... Steam also needs to be fed with likes boiz and galz.

Man I loved ark back in those days, I had to quit because it was purely unhealthy being up from 5pm till 8am every day is def not good along w no exercise and that’s what made me quit. However that’s what made the game fun; raising your own wyverns I had one named yin (pure white event wyv )and (yang a pure black event wyvv) Along with raiding bases, server wars and trolling seshes which I was quite fond of. Faults filled with ascended loot then attacking alpha tribes on complete server wipes with 200+ members in the tribe. Spamming when DC’d to get back into the server was awful tho. Sorry for the essay, I’m just thinking of starting up sometime soon and haven’t had anyone to say that to.

I totally agree steave is legendary imo he is the only reason i started ark during early access years ago though i no longer play this game due to so many issues i still enjoy watching his ark content.

Mining drill will get you ambergris in seconds, got one from a mission and I fell in love ;)

@@luke.s1346 I think it's all random but I did gold nugget search in arctic biome on gamma level. Got a ramshackle drill out of it and almost died several times because the devs thought adding microraptors when you're in the middle of fighting a horde is a good idea.

Hey Steve, love your content! So if you use a prim mining drill in the lunar b. You'll get ambergris easier, also ele shards. Hit the pointy rocks.

if you want to make it easier to gather the "food" for the magmasaur Make the mining drill in the fabricator and it'll get a bunch. also recommend a hazmat suit and Grapple hook down from the big bridge across the pit. if u time it right u can be in and out before they even shoot at you
9:30 ur red crystals are element shards btw //// and if u hit spacebar on keybord while ur the closest to ur hook u can jump a good amount btw
If you hit jump “space bar “ it does an Agro like eating a rare flower, but gives you an armor bonus.

Steve, also while in the cave grabbing eggs. If you can manage, bring the mining drill. When you hit the red crystals ya get loads of element shards, more than on lunar. Black Pearls down there as well. Cheers!
Instead of fighting in the volcano you could always try bug spray and a glider suit to get around most of the baddies in there. The lava golems will still come after you but other stuff should leave you alone. I think cactus broth would help with this as well.

honestly my first time without too much effort, i fed a ferox element and was like screw it imma give it a try. jumped down into the hellish volcano cave, ferox makes quick work of the egg protectors too especially after that rock throw. i was surprised how tanky my average leveled ferox is, killed 3. hopped off started to TP grabbed the 2 eggs , thank you for the great guide that was super easy

Enough movement, glider, cactus drink for the heat, some spray vs insects for the flying shit and enough grabbles. Just ignore everything, run and glid down, grap 2-3 eggs and grabble out. Stay on top 10 sec still and teleport away !

^this so much. literally everyone seems to ignore the power of cactus broth. However i do it bit differently. I use a parachute to go down to the nest, then after picking up i grapple up and climb to a flat spot with climbing pick to teleport to volcano East to deaggro all magmas and run back in. After a couple runs i left the insect spray away, since i knew best routes to run.

If you hold I believe left click for blood stalker after the first use it will fling you once you get near between the two ropes(L2 on PlayStation) and I notice on playstation the spit charges alot slower same with the smelting

Hey Steve, I found some new abilities that the magmasaur has. The first being that if you hold the right mouse button until searing spit is full, the left click, you'll be charged and deal fire damage when you bite or slash at something. also if you press C when charging searing spit, you'll do the a area of affect attack around you.

quick question (And something that needs testing), does it smelt metal faster if you level it's melee damage? also, something that I noticed, any meat it picks up while it's smelting will be cooked, so it can function as a grill too. also, if you just hold the button down, the fire aoe will continue as long as you hold it, or at least until someone rains water down onto it.

when I read on the wiki when the magmasaur doesnt like water & colder area's....i thought it ment it would take damage in those types of environment, good thing this video managed to prove me wrong and that it only deactivates it's fire (which would still suck in places like the bog)
Kinda sad that nobody thought about using Megalania, they're everywhere in the Volcanic Biome.
Same thing that happened in rag, they’re super common in one of the beach areas, but their saddle unlocks at a pretty high level and I’m not sure if you can ride them without saddles

Just quick side note if you showed it in the Video. If you press space bar he makes some sort of smoke that works similar like the ammonite dart so every other creature ever parasaur will attack you in the radius
(12:30) Magmasaurs tame better with heat. It is more ideal to use the standing torches and surround it in a U shape. It will hatch quicker, and the egg health will not lower like standard eggs.
On a side note, if you have a breeding pair, they also require lava to mate in. Not the pools, because you'll lose the egg, but, if you go to a solid section of lava, like in the North-ish area by the pool of watery-oil by a lava-fall, you may breed them there successfully, just keep the carnivorous critters away.
Ambergris is great to use to heal/tame a baby magmasaur. Rocks are the best way to feel the food bar, not so good for healing; if you have ambergris on hand instead, it will heal the adult magmasaur for a good chunk of health. Raw/cooked meat is excellent for healing. Prime meat/cooked, even fish are less effective.
just BTW nooblets HLNA can teleport you out of the cave with the biome jump. there is no point in trying to escape and the easiest way is on foot with Ghillie armor and just use a glider pack if your server has s+ or is a cluster.

3:17 sad that the lava golem was a dungeon boss and now a regular enemy
The thing is these are just normal rock golems reskinned the attacks don't set you on fire like the lava golems does
There are even rock golems in the Arctic biome as well but reskinned to be more icy
dark this was in valguero too but there wasn’t ever a boss ice golem

Hello everyone. Not sure if this has been said. But a method my tribe uses is grapple to a member , the member jumps down , start the teleporting , they grab egg , you pull them up , teleport them. Works best from the center island within the nests.
Just gotta time it well. We teleport to ocean biome cause its safest.

Using a glider and/or parachute for escaping/entering (depends on where you enter/escape) will make it way easier, if you go on foot.

I know a way to get eggs with a friend, if you can get an enforcer from extinction, have your friend grapple from it while it's on the ceiling so you can move them if needs be and it'd be the safest with it's high damage and teleportation ability
They can also eat stone the ambergris can be used for the imprintig

me and my friend just placed beda nearby (on unofficial) dont think you can on official and just grabbed them on foot
we just go naked and i have like 40 points in speed so i can jump over the lava and sometimes it doenst render in so you can run on it instead of swim and it only does like 20dmg/sec

Can't an oviraptor steal the eggs without startling the magmasaur, like with the wyverns and rock drakes?
The mining drill is helpful to get a bunch of ambergris quickly. Also Ambergris gives about 500 food.
Also also we only used 4 air conditioners to incubate the magmasaur eggs.

im obviously far too late for anyone to see this, but on the off chance someone does:
There is a significantly easier way to use bloodstalkers to get magmasaur eggs.
If you scout a nest, you can use the webs to hang above it. Wait until you think you can do it successfully (prepare yourself mentally basically), drop down, grab the egg, and immediately speedrun out of the place. Aim for open hits as close to the roof as you can, since this gets you *out of danger* from the fireball shots faster

You can actually just use helena to get out of there with egg just activate helena and wait untill it covers most of the area and right at the end to get teleported grab the egg and teleport

I don't use air conditioner I use dimetrodons so far I.threw a lvl 155 egg on one and it started incubating but I'm also in the fire zone I like the lizard keeps me cool and alive
