This is the song I referred to in my description below when i uploaded Mei
Dai's song "unforgettable" on 11 mar 2023. As this song is also about remembrance of a departed loved one, it's quite relevant to this period as Qing Ming is around the corner
This version replaced my first version of this song which I uploaded in June 2020

'Last month, there were 2 romantic events, The Chinese Lantern Festival Day on the 15 day of the Chinese New year and Valentine's day on Fe 14. In that month, i uploaded a very romantic duet by Jackie Cheung and Cally Kwong
Unfortunately, I had to attend 2 funerals of relatives this past month, and observing the sadness around, i wondered how those 2 aforementioned events would in future when they come again, affect those who have lost their loved ones when everyone else have romantic thoughts
Then i remembered that someone said at the funerals that you never really lose them for they are in your hearts forever. That remembering them and recalling your precious memories with them is very much part and parcel of the grieving and healing process
At times when lonely, loving memories comes back and it may be cathartic or helps you to cope with their loss, as repressing their memories is not good
In this respect, I recall 2 songs...the first being Unforgettable (Yi Nan Wang) where the protagonist stood alone by her window gazing quietly at the
street lights below and the skies above, as memories of her loved one comes back flooding to her memories. Whilst many singers have sung this sone many times, the original by Mei Dai stands out among them. For she renders the song in line with it's underlying message with poignancy
The other song is a bit newer than Yi Nan Wang, it's a song which i uploaded more than a year ago, and which i have decided to update it as i have a much better understanding of the song than before. this song is Just Like Your Tenderness" or 恰似你的温柔 Qia Si Ni De Wen Rou by Tsai Chin/Cai Qin, the original singer. The revised version improves upon the english translation considerably and the video & audio quality as well. This will be uploaded shortly
Again, this song begins with the protagonist recalling the time of his girlfriend passing, a sad event which he was not informed until after his examinations was over at the behest of this dying girlfriend. She did not want to upset his exam studies.....it's an act of supreme love and devotion
Both songs are songs of remembrance, and will trigger recall of past memories. Whilst there is no escaping from the fact that sad things can happen and the
songs will likely bring some tears, a good cry is sometimes needed to aid in the healing and grieving process"
