Thanks for sharing, I am like you, I love my space, never wanted children, traveled, moved, and then married at 45, because I did find someone I wanted to share my life and space with! ..married for 26 years, loved sharing that life, lost him to cancer 10 years ago, still single, loving my space and single life... everyone is different, it's great when someone has the life they want, and I'm still working and living at 82! I love hearing and seeing all the things that you do, if I was young again, I would be doing what you are doing!... to your happy adventures ahead whatever they may be.....

I was born to be a mom. I have three grown kids. My eldest daughter is 31 and has chosen to not have children or a partner at this point. My son and his wife have been together since high school and are still waiting at 29 to have kids at some point. Then there is my youngest who has also been with her high school sweetheart for 9 years, however they are 24 and married with 4 kids that are 5, 2 year old twins and a 1 year old! All my kids have chosen different paths. I truly believe in this world there is no longer a right or normal way to move through life. We just need to give each other the space to be our own true selves.

My daughter has problems with depression. She incorporated exercise into her life . She became so proficient, the gym she goes to offered her a job. She now teaches 6 classes a week and even takes classes with other instructors. Does her a world of good!!!

You are such an interesting and lovely person and it's great that you share some of your deeper thoughts. And you have the right to only share what YOU want. I admire all that you do and when you don't know how to do it, you'll find out. And thanks for breaking the stereotype of what women should or should not do. It really makes me mad when people assume things and expect that you should fall into a certain box. Why is it so hard to just let everybody live their lives the way they want to?

I don't agree with any particular difficulties women face breaking patterns. If anything it's quite opposite. Women always get encouragement, especially for breaking patterns. whatever a lady does there's the 'you go girl'. men just do stuff and don't get any praise for it because, oh well, he's a guy, he gets anything he wants served on a silver plate, like men don't have to struggle or face difficulties.

Your pathway is set so naturally into the earth, as if it’s always been there; well done. I too use my small van as a truck at times, moving rocks and furniture, etc. And then, using ramps and other tricks for managing large objects on my own works rather better than people realize. I call this my ‘Egyptian pyramid-building techniques.’ I remember your pine basket video and your demeanor as you demonstrated; it made me want to subscribe.

I'm childfree by choice and have known that basically my whole life. I'm glad you shared that truth about yourself and choosing not to marry as it may help someone who's feeling pressured. I wouldn't think anything of your partner helping you as being bad or weak. I do think really independent people have a difficult time asking for help, but as usually always helping others when asked. If your partner can help and wants to, let them. ❤

Thank you for being probably the most honest person on TH-cam. You certainly don't have to be anyone but yourself to achieve your goals or targets that fit you. It's rather nice to hear that you have a partner for some things but that is none our business and we view your videos simply as how you choose to lead your life and as a brilliant example of what any one person can achieve if they choose to do so. You bring us practical ideas, joy and laughter. We genuinely appreciate you in return. Have faith in yourself as we do in you. Even as a guy (I think girls get it worse), I get so many comments about "having a family", and I just don't understand why people are SO obsessed with other people having kids. I like my life without kids. I like my freedom. I wish they'd just accept people want different things out of life..

If only they could appreciate us for who we are. I was never meant to be a mother.
It's better to know it early in life; because leaving a family is the hardest thing to.

to be, no matter how hard he or she tried to please others.

The green on your steps is algae. It grows there because it is damp and shady. You could just leave it, but if you want to remove it you can use boiling water, spray vinegar or a dilute solution of bleach. These are listed in order of environmental friendliness. Glad to see another video from you. Glad to see you are doing well. As for projects, I been redoing my back yard now for 3 years and I could have hired landscapers to do it in a week. But I think you and I are quite similar, we prefer to do things ourselves and we prefer our solitaire lifestyle without having to be lonely. You are a strong woman (both mentally and physically).
Don't worry about how long it takes you to do a project compared to what others may be able to do it in. You are getting the experience of doing it. It is being done the way you want it to be done. And when it is done, you get to enjoy the work you put in to it.

The book that i came across which is also very helpful - about mindfulness - is called Wherever You Go There You Are by Jon Kabat - Zinn which i can recommend. As a person of advanced years something that was once told me by a friend made sense - the mind keeps writing the cheques but the body can't always honour them ! Given what you have achieved in your life so far you should be very satisfied with the outcomes.

Nothing about life is one size fits all, and we change throughout our lives. You do you, Marina. You're a vibrant, interesting person with strengths and foibles, as we all have, charting your own path according to what suits you. I find that admirable, particularly for a young woman choosing to do and learn so much on her own.

It's good to know you have people who are close to you though of course you are right it's nobody's business, but you seem a warm-hearted person and I realise I am happy for you just to know that. I would never have doubted that you are the woman behind the work, either lol Everyone gets to choose their own life or to make the best of what their environment offers them, at least. Mine began with an early child and led to 2 more and a partner of 40 yrs, that led to grandchildren and I'm very happy about that and having my family around me; it means I rely less on friends tbh - and people often think that is weird but it's my choice evolving from my life experience, it doesn't have to apply to anyone else!!

One thing that's made a huge difference with our new rescue dog who is very fearful is using a kong. We fill it with his regular food and freeze it and he has to work at it a long time. We fed him in the places he was afraid to go like he was afraid of the tiles in the sun room, afraid to go up the stairs, afraid of the car. Maybe that will help vongole want to stay in the carrier for longer if he had to spend 40 minutes licking food.

it's cool to hear that video got you this life. i've got to your channel because of that video and i'm very happy for that, because you waked up so many good stuff inside of me the last few years :) and i really love to make pine needles baskets!! i do not do it often because it takes me forever, but everytime i make one i feel very good about myself, and usually do it as a gift for someone i care, and i remember you and feel grateful. i also liked you brought this subject, because life is really full of surprises, we don't know very well the paths we are walking, it's not a good thing to compare ourselves with other people. what you said reminded me of a song i've been listening to, that says something like "and everything i won only because i lost at the right time/ these paths we don't see" (the name is "caminhos", from Jota Pe, if you would like to hear it - i noticed you like brasilian music :) ). sorry if i made mistakes in english and thanks for your videos :))

I have many plans that leads one to feeling overwhelmed, the best way is to not worry and start with one thing at a time, then build ideas around it by working with what you have and the time available, which then gives you the courage to tackle it by also adding inspiration as you go. Remember Rome wasn't built overnight, you only need to prove to yourself the progress then it becomes super easy.

Hi 🥰🥰🥰! The GREEN is usually mold & can be rid of very easily. Spray the areas w/White Vinegar (50/50 w/water). Also, if you didn't already know; White Vinegar is a Natural Disinfectant.

I have such respect for you and all of the projects you tackle. I’ve been thinking about buying and refurbishing an old Airstream trailer (with limited experience). When I’m trying to encourage myself to try it, I remind myself of the electrical wiring and water system you put into your van. In the video, you talked about learning to do those things and openly stated “I’m learning. If I don’t know how to do something, I can figure it out.” Electrical specifically, scares me, and I might decide to hire someone to do that for me. I never, for one second, thought you weren’t doing your own projects. It shouldn’t surprise us women that our accomplishments will be minimized by insecure people. I’m so happy you are here to share women can work with power tools, move heavy things and tackle all sorts of projects. Thank you for representing women are diverse and can live life in unique ways. ❤

I totally get the wariness about the electrics! Perhaps you can get a patient electrician who can walk you through what they are doing? Best of luck with the renovation, airstreams are so cool!

I’m always stressed about money, pressure to buy instead of renting… So thank you Marina.
Crazy, I remember this video but so thought your van conversions were you most successful videos and then you got sponsored from external battery brand so I thought that helps.
Glad you investment of collection, learning and doing the basket were a success for you!
Would you ever consider hosting people at you house? I just think it would be so nice to be able to add some sort of glasses with you (knitting, gardening, jewellery making, etc…) I feel like you’re such a crafted and patient soul I would defo be interested in something like that 🤗

Hi Marina! So great having a new video from you! As for those bugging you about having kids: that's such a personal matter, really... Me and my partner have also made the decision of not having kids. We're in our late 40s and still don't regret it. We love our life as it is. We're all different and define happiness in many different ways. For some people having kids just isn't their definition of happiness and "feeling complete".
P.S. autumn 🍂 looks great in your area! Enjoy this colourful season!

This was a beautiful video, thank you for all your honesty and transparency. The images of Vongola getting used to his trailer are so cute!
I use knitting to support my mental health too, glad to see you're getting back into it! You might be interested to know that you're twisting your stitches. This is not inherently a problem, but twisted stitches in a finished garment will make it skew/bias to one side instead of hanging straight, it will also be less stretchy overall, and for some knitters it can also just be more fatiguing to work on. Twisted stitches or not, the sweater you're knitting is a beautiful color!

@@WildSheGoes You're welcome! I'm glad I wasn't overstepping by mentioning it. I think restarting or not is really up to you - it might like a cool textural element if you switched your technique now, or you might like the visual reminder of your learning, or it might just be too heart-breaking to you to rip out your progress. On the other hand, if you restarted the sweater, it might look more cohesive, and just be a tiny bit more comfortable because you're doing the sweater top-down and so much of a sweater's fit comes from its shoulder area.

Nice work with the solid steps Marina! The heather will look gorgeous once it has bedded in. Also solid - your sense of boundaries and SM - yes, as viewers we love learning about your life and projects, but for your mental health and privacy boundaries are ultra-important. I had to study counselling to understand enough about myself to finally put those in place! Best wishes from Scotland. 🍁🌦🍄

Hi, good to see you again. I can relate about depression.
Some say it's about attitude, however I say not always the case.
Depending on how traumatic someone's life was or is, there
are things we can't completely change, no matter what we do,
where we go, or how much money we have. Everyone has a
dark side. Learning how to cope and avoiding denial are the
    main components for avoiding stress.
Personally, I don't do well in large groups of people, it took
years for me to accept the reality of being a loner.
At first there was denial because others made me feel guilty
for being this way, however once I understood what I needed,
and who I was, I chose to live alone, sometimes in isolation
where I can be myself, and appreciate my nature.
I can still be out there in a crowd and socialize, but I never
hang out...I'm just not that type and it's ok. Blessings 💕 💕

Thanks for your wonderful videos Marina. Always enjoy viewing your work and have watched all your oldest videos and forward to now. That green stuff on your steps may be algae from the humidity. There are various methods online for removing it if you wish. Over time also slow growing green lichens can grow on the stone which indicates for one thing that your air quality is very good!

I have loved your videos since you were living in a van in Scotland with sweet Odie! I've always loved how realistic and honest you come across and you are such a delight to hang out with every video. The fact that you don't do projects like a superhuman is a relief, because most often I feel very discouraged when I'm watching someone be hyper productive online and can't help but compare to myself. It makes me happy that you had such a stroke of luck with the pine needle video! You deserve it.
