    When rolling paint onto walls, use an extension handle. It is a lot easier as the handle provides leverage, plus the application is smoother as the pressure / force applied is much more even. A tip for rolling ceilings - roll up a towel and put it on top of a backpack, you can then rest your head whilst looking up - takes away the next strain. Good job on the shed conversion.

      I still hate cornices with a passion. I discovered getting the pre mixed cornice cement sticks much better

    Thanks! This helped me learn ideas for renovating my dad's garage xd my dad has a steel garage that he never uses, (only to store furniture and junk). Today I managed to throw out alot of stuff out and it took me 4 hours to clear everything and clean up the space. I'm going to turn this garage into my room coz it's a bigger space than my tiny room inside my house lol will take a few months to renovate but worth the go!

      Good to get a bit of privacy. Would have loved this when I was younger.

    I have EXACTLY that same shed (bought the house in 2001 and it had been there for a while). This is brilliant and will give me some tips :D

    Did u use foam or silicone to fill any gaps in the roof and the floor ? I have a 5' tin garden shed ( wanting a bee /honey processing shed ) with only metal battens. Do you think i should make a frame first to attach any gyprock or ply to ? I noticed u have both wood and metal battening did you add the wood battens or were they there already ? TY

    I’d be keen to see if your Arduino hint includes remote switching of your dust extractor. I’ve tried eBay Solid State relays on a 12V control circuit and they fail too fast. So I’d be interested to see if you’ve got any ideas

    • @ADHDbuilt
      @ADHDbuilt  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +thermmaloverload eventually, I'll copy i like to make stuffs dust setup. With it all automated. But the sooner one will be attached to the mitre station. :)

    • @thermmaloverload
      @thermmaloverload 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just had a look at I like to make stuffs dust setup and it is impressive. If you go down that path, i;ve got a laser so would be happy to cut you the servo control arms etc. I'm in NSW and postage for that sort of stuff would be easy

    • @ADHDbuilt
      @ADHDbuilt  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might take you up for that at some stage, but I've just gotten myself a 3d printer, and I toying with 3d printing the whole dust waste gates, and found another that'll let you turn a door lock actuator into a linear actuator. Will combine them together.
      When I get time anyway.

    • @thermmaloverload
      @thermmaloverload 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i've got plastic dust gates at the moment and they can get a bit stiff which may be a problem for the servo actuator. The metal ones are quite expensive but probably smoother to operate.

      No, it was attached to the existing wood supports for the shed.

    • @DavidJJJ
      @DavidJJJ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@loopy7057 yes you are meant to have a vapour barrier for metal. Australia gets very very hot but also very cold, so I’m not sure how he is going to deal with moisture from the inside of the shed.
