My wife bought me a beautiful 12' x 15' custom-built shed this past spring to make my woodshop out of. Up until now, I've had no clue what direction I would go with it, thank you for the inspiration... great job!
By doing jobs that others do to make a living, we might learn to appreciate not only what others do but how blessed we are in our own occupations. Regardless, YOU are gifted and that is evidenced by all you do in your shop. Thanks for sharing!
Isn't it amazing how much more comfortable your workspace is when it's insulated! My last house I insulated my garage workshop and the difference was unbelievable. Great job, Sam!
I think a CONGRATULATIONS is in order!! I totally understand the procrastination when working on a huge project. I totally get bored looking at the same project for too long. Every once in awhile you just have to take a long break and let the passion for a particular project grow again. Your shed shop looks fantastic!!
I’m in the process of planning and building my first she-shed…thank you for posting these videos! You have great information, and I’ve really enjoyed the “reality-ness” of it, honestly. I also work full time, and getting the projects finished and fit in can be challenging! Appreciate your insulation portion here, made me think ahead! Carry on, gf…sending positive home acquisition vibes your way!
TOTALLY worth the wait! Sam, this is incredible! What a fantastic job! You have inspired me not to give up on my 9x11 She Shop!! Thanks for being awesome, Sam! Best of luck to you as always, be well!!!
It has been quite an amazing journey, Sam. Now that you put it all together, I can say wow, now that is an Extraordinary Workshop with a Great Craftsperson behind it all. You are blessed to have your dad and other family members help you with your workshop and other projects; that's a blessing worth treasuring. Thank you Sam for sharing your journey with us, I look forward to more of your work. God Bless You.
Quick tip on painting trim that is proud of the field color: a) do it last, b) use a narrow roller. It goes crazy fast vs a brush. You still have to "cut in" edges against the field color using a brush, but the time savings on the proud surfaces is substantial
Seeing your journey in what you have created in your brand, and a dream is worth what you have put in it. I just want to wish you the best on your journey and much more happiness to come. Flannel looks absolutely good on you.
Hi Sam, I enjoy watching every of your videos, I appreciate so much of your joy and passion that you have in every project, and I can feel that you truly love what you do. This kind of love resonant in me even though what I do is completely different than what you do. Thank you very much for sharing!
What a great looking shop. As a fellow long islander, I know the challenge in becoming a homeowner with a garage shop is hard right now, but It will come in time. I’ve Followed on IG throughout and its great to see the whole project come together. I love your color choice for the outside and the concrete accent wall is killer. Keep up the great work.
Hey Sam, you probably don’t remember, but I had started a mural for you and life was just too ridiculous- so it didn’t get finished. I’m going to look at where I was and see what I need to do so I can finish it up for you ok? The concept is super cool. So I want to get it done! I have finally been able to delve into woodworking/building getting more and better tools just in the past few months. You were integral in me getting to it. I have always been pretty handy, fixing things etc. It was your video where you made the cabinet, I think you painted it green. I was like, she made furniture! You created a monster. Long long story in the making now. Thanks so much Sam! Oh and starting a TH-cam channel soon. I was thinking it would be a riot to do a sewing diy build collab challenge with you. You probably think I’m insane. I think it would be fun, maybe with a spin on decor/remodeling
I live those wood slat planter boxes. & i love that shade of gray on the outside. Flannel Gray is the perfect name & color. I'm probably gonna use that color in the next place we move to.
I am in the process of setting up my new 12x16 shed shop and I was trying to figure out what to do with the ceiling. I love what you did with yours. Thanks for making these great videos.
@@diyhuntress You're quite welcome. I have enjoyed your creativity and personality for some time now. Recently, I noticed an ugly comment directed at you when you responding to a workbench build on another channel. I'm hoping that you can ignore such trashy talk and know that you have a lot of friends out here.
I had a question and I hope I can get your advice, I just turned 15 and I have been doing woodworking and furniture builds for about 3 months now and I uploaded my floating shelf build on my channel, I was wondering how should I organize my time with working on projects, editing and recording the video itself.
Your shop looks absolutely amazing! We are all very proud of you and honored to be your subscribers as well as your supporters. Keep up the great work we all love you!

I'm in process of setting up a shed as a shop right now. Just insulated this weekend, next is some kind of flooring, then move in all the tools! Nice job on yours, mine won't be nearly as nice looking.
Hi Sam, been with you from the beginning and enjoy every episode...Your she shed is a dream come true for all us diy women, looking forward to seeing more projects come out of there...Take care....stay safe...
To cover your HVAC unit you can make an open sided box that is covered with screen mesh. To mount the box; make a frame that goes around the unit. The top of the frame should be a French cleat. The frame itself needs to be tall enough so that when you put the box over the unit, you can hang it from the cleat and it will slide down and be centered around the unit. The box is to have screen mesh on five of the sides. The screen mesh will not prevent air flow and should saw dust settle on it you will be able to both see it and clean it off with a leaf blower or a vacuum wand. There are differing materials for the screen mesh; but a metal wired mesh would be more durable and you won't have to worry if the unit is putting out too much heat in the winter. Whether to make the box and frame out of wood or aluminum or PVC board is your choice.
The shop looks awesome! From a fellow full time employed, part time business owner trying to build it up to something bigger I can definitely appreciate the struggle to find enough time in the day. Keep up the good work! PS You just made me appreciate my garage space that often feels cramped to me!

Hi Sam, Just a suggestion you can put a miter saw hood on it helps a ton and it will help protect your AC unit. I got one and it was a game changer.
