  • Boquillas Crossing at Big Bend National Park is a fun border crossing. In this video, we take you to Boquillas, Mexico. We traverse the Rio Grande River at Boquillas Crossing by row boat and then took burros up to the small Mexican town to Boquillas. We ate lunch at the Boquillas Restaurant, an authentic Mexican dining experience with loads of handcrafted gifts and souvenirs.

Loved this video. Thank you for giving us the prices. I met a couple at Cobbtown Acres DIY in Georgia, they have a blog "A bus named Sandy" They did the same trip. She is a great artist, and she drew a penciled pic of him. It looks just like him. I spotted him right away. I always wondered what the price was. TY. Melody looks stunning in her new hat! She always looks beautiful. I have no idea how she does it on the road. I am always a mess. lol

Very cool. We camped at the Rio Grande Camp resort but knew nothing of the crossing over?

What a cool place. We never would have known about it. Now it's on our list. So laid back. We've been making beer margaritas for a long time. Minute maid limeade, half can tequila, half to whole can beer. Thanks for showing us Boquillas!

Lou....I first heard about Boquillas 7-8 years ago and it's been on my "must do" list since then. Looks like you and Melody had a memorable day in Boquillas. Thank you and Happy 4th of July.

Rock on! If you make the effort to visit this remote national park, the Boquillas Crossing is surely a worthy excurion. Happy 4th Ralph. Lou

Hey, very fine video guys!! I enjoyed this so much!!! Love all the details you had in there too ! How was the donkey ride? ruff ? How far was the village from where you got off the boat. What did you have to do at the ranger station, to be able to go over to the Mexico side? The boat looked alittle small to me, and the current looked kinda swift. WOW!!!! Look at all those souvenir's !! It was fun to see Melody buying up some of the cool trinkets they had!! She had some fine pic's tho !! I loved the cool killer hat that she got after lunch! Lookin good Melody! I love the color you chose! Did you walk back to the end of the village? What other shops did they have there? Do those people live in that town or someplace else? Where is the next largest village or town from where you were? Why was the police station closed, did you have to check in over there also? How many other visitors were over there while you were? Nice pick of resturants. Ooooo, refreshing drinks, and yummy looking food ! How hot was the salsa? Mmmm, looked very tasty !! What other types of shops did they have? I didnt happen to see any Ice cream shops, lol, did you also have dessert after dinner? Did the boat captain speak much english? He didnt say too much when Melody was telling him about what you all did, lol and wow, all the souvenirs Melody bought !!! Fantastic! Love it !! lol Anything in that little ol' souvenir bag for a #1 fan? lol (just kiddin' with ya) I had a fun day with you all , thanks for having us along !!!! This is another one of my favorite video's that you have done!!! vic

Outstanding! My wife and I are retiring Nov 1st and looking to do all the things you guy's are enjoying. Really like you video's. Great Job! That looks like a lot of fun. How far away from the boarder checkpoint can you cam with an RV. We have a 44' toyhauler and a truck so we can dry camp as well.

The Rio Grande Village Campground and the Rio Grange Village RV Campground in Big Bend National Park are just a few miles away from this border crossing excurion. Our Rio Grande Village RV Campground video will publish on July 7, 2022. You'll be able to camp there. Lou

What?!?!? You crossed the Rio Grande on a boat, rode burros, explored a village? That’s so cool. No border checkpoint there? When We went to the dentist in Mexico, we had several people comment on our videos about the safety. Looks like you were safe there too.
