@@Thelionpaladin How is it poor? Cameron was always the only one who understood House and had the power to get through to him, his human side. And she was starting to act like him, getting cocky and tough. They could have been the perfect storyline
House can never have a romantic relationship no matter how hard he tries. He's just a different breed of human. I rooted for House and Cameron for the longest time, but he knew he'd be terrible for her, and I think he pushed her away to protect her. Cameron had a bad habit of falling for broken men because she wanted to save them, which is admirable but not healthy. Not even Cuddy, who knew House since med school could handle him. Wilson is the closest personal relationship House can have because, for some reason, he's able to tolerate House and understands him. And they're not even gay lol
i wish she said yes :( i’ve always loved house and cameron together i feel like this might’ve made him realize she isn’t trying to change him she loves him for him
@@Future_Hendrix Disagree that Cameron didn't love House. I've actually been working on an assignment on TV relationships and I picked House M.D., so got a few examples of (one-sided!) affection handy if anyone is interested: S1 E19 Cameron refuses House's offer of a higher salary, car allowance and a parking space, asking only that he goes on a date with her. S1 E22 C says to House "I was wrong that you couldn't love; you just couldn't love me. It's good, I'm happy for you". S2 E1 C tells House "she's over him" (!) S2 E4 C tells Chase that the patient asked her out. Chase assumes she rejected the patient because "he's not House". S2 E17 C smiles when H sees her in the red dress and loses his train of thought. S3 E14 C starts up with Chase because "of all the people I work with [Foreman and...House], you're the least likely I'm gonna fall in love with" S3 E22 When C leaves the team, she tells House she'll miss him. S4 E7 When asked if she hates House by a camera crew, C responds absentmindedly "no, no, I love House", and then frantically tries to backtrack and cover herself. When Chase sees her practising her retraction in the mirror, he sarcastically says "well, that's cleared everything up!". S5 E13 When C takes over Cuddy's job for a bit, House claims that the arrangement will end with her "putting out". C replies "that's why I took the job" S5 E21 When asked by H if she has still "has the hots for me", she deflects. C puts off Chase to spend time with House. Interestingly, this is soon after Kutner's death and during a conversation with H she talks about it being a time to be close to people they care about. S6 E8 When C leaves for good, she says to House that she loved him. S8 E22 In H's subconscious during the fire, H says to C "you'd be the last person I'd think would hate me". C replies "I don't hate you; I love you". A lot of these examples are Cameron liking House, and you can decide whether it's love or just consistently strong feelings. Either way, Cameron's feelings for House are actually a consistent theme through most seasons, and on the face of it even outnumber similar 'statements of feelings' between Cameron/Chase and House/Cuddy.
@@gwill2376 I always felt like she didn't love him because of this one scene he is not crippled anymore so she has no interest in him. Her interest in him is purely psychological issues that she has at least to me all of that stuff you pointed out happens when house is still crippled. If she didn't have those psychological issues she probably would have dated someone like Chase and fell in love with them or at like that doctor with the bleeding heart for kids with tuberculosis.
@@Future_Hendrix Yeah, that's fair enough :) For me, though, she rejects House here because, as she says, he's just getting back on his feet and is dealing with that, and thus she is afraid that he's only asking her out because he's 'under the influence' of happiness. House misunderstands this, claiming that she rejects him only because he's healthy. But Cameron replies pretty plainly that "you are not healthy". In other words, the problem for Cameron is not that he is now able-bodied and thus undesirable; it is that he is still processing a massive change in his life, is deliriously happy, and therefore is not in the right state of mind to ask her out (the saying that you shouldn't make big decisions while you are emotional etc.). As for why Cameron never really accepts Chase, I think it's much more straightforward: she just didn't find him (intellectually) attractive. Cameron is damaged, and so is House, who is a kindred spirit in that sense. But both Foreman and Chase are pretty standard and thus boring. Like vanilla ice cream. Sorry for the essay, I just find the dynamic interesting!
@@gwill2376 Why you think Chase is intellectually unattractive, can you give me the reasons and also tell me what exact intellectual capacity other than medicine does House has which says he is a intellectual powerhouse.
I liked how House suggested the reason for Cameron's hesitation was that, now that he was happy and feeling no pain, she wouldn't be interested in him anymore because he was better adjusted (not well adjusted, but better, and as Cameron pointed out, he was far from "healthy".)

Tho it would have been poor characterisation for either of those characters to make them work
