Happy Veterans Day Mark! My grandson invited me to his school to have lunch with him for Veterans’ Day. Good lunch and a nice little presentation for the veterans ( parents and grandparents) who came to lunch.
Picking a autopilot up tomorrow and glad to hear the durability of this thing getting beat up is very good so if I baby maybe I increase the life a few more years so thank you for showcasing its ability to live long!🎣
Came across your content a few years back and have viewed your videos regularly since. I appreciate the respect you demonstrate towards your surroundings - fellow anglers, land, water (and it's bountiful content) and us viewers. Tight lines!
I have a 2014 Pro Angler 14, and it’s been a tank. If it ever goes in another direction, I might snag an Old Town, or another PA. If you take care of it, it will last a life time. 10 years later, and still strong.
i havent seen the hole you have, but, I do know you can get the plastic welded up to even stronger than it was. its HPVC Ive done it a few times my self. Just say'n pS happy veterans day! Thank you for your past service!!
Happy Veterans Day, Mark, I'm sorry your blue Autopilot sprung a leak, can it be repaired? Well, at least you landed some nice reds and that one was a brute! Take care and be safe!
hey marc the old town kayak is easy to fix harbor freight has a plastic welder you can buy it will weld up the hole like solder , use the right type of plastic to fix the hole and also you can use J B weld epoxy and this will work too ok hope i helped you
Could you share how you set up your reels? Specifically the counter weights and backlash adjustments? Thanks, love the blue tails on these reds! Thanks
That’s a tough one to do. There’s so many variables that go into how much tension the spool needs and how much tension the brakes need. Every angler is different and some have more thumb control over the spool than others. Then there’s the wind speed. The higher the winds the more thumb control you’ll have to do or increase the brake force. Unfortunately there’s not a one size fits all solution.
I feel like your kayak got way more hours of usage then the normal 4 year old kayak. You're out there 2 3 sometimes more days a week. Also thanks for you're service also, not just your kayak
I just got this same kayak and it’s my first kayak I’ve ever owned. When fishing the marsh and shallow grass areas, do you turn off your trolling motor and use your pole to get around? Didn’t know if the motor will spook the fish.
@MDLRFishing Ooh okay. Awesome!... My focal point is trying to stay close as possible to home from where I live (Southeast HOUSTON) & save time, gas & money to catch fish at any moment whenever that itch hits (Day/night) or early morning too💯

Mark, you can patch/ fix that crack my friend. Easy as pie. I’m an old town owner also. So don’t get rid of it. Fix it, good idea for a video?????
Maybe a future video idea 🤔
Happy Veterans Day, Mark, I'm sorry your blue Autopilot sprung a leak, can it be repaired? Well, at least you landed some nice reds and that one was a brute! Take care and be safe!
Thanks Christine! The kayak is repairable, I’ll get around to it one of these days.

Appreciate you! Christian is doing some work behind the scenes on other projects. He’s back in school and working 😂
Happy veterans day. Fun day
Thank you 🙏
Old Town still has life time warranty on hulls no? 4 years is a good run. Considering grabbing an Old Town. Cool video
Not on an abused hull 😂
I’ll repair it when I get a chance. For now it’s on the top rack chilling.

Yes, I always turn the motor off and pole around.
🔥🔥
Thanks Kevin 🤙
Happy veterans day.
Thank you 🙏
About 1200 a year or so then cost of ownership
If you perform zero maintenance and always drag it around then yes.
Just add another battery and a bilge pump, maybe another remote control for the pump. Patreon will pay for it.
This is nice looking spot? Is it local in Galveston?
Yes on the west side of the island 🤙

Where did you get your stake out pole or was it a DIY?
The small one is a DIY
Is it beyond patching, flex tape, and epoxy?
I’ll fix it eventually.
BELATED Happy Veterans Day...OLD TOWN....takes a lickin and keeps on Tickin.... shows how old I am....( Timex commercial)
😂 I remember those commercials. Thanks David!!!
Is this sportsman rd?
🤙
If you want to get rid of your kayak, I will be willing to purchase it. Don’t let it just take up space in your garage or trash it. Thanks.
Appreciate the offer, but I’m going to repair it 👍
👍👍👏👏
Thanks 👍
I know a guy who doesn’t have a yak that can use one… sold his years ago and hasn’t been able to get one since…👉😊👈
🤙
I can help you plastic weld it, on me. I’ve done it to my kayak before
Thanks for the offer 🤙
Fiberglass fix?
I’m most likely going to plastic weld it.
