I want to hug you, right now. I'm 39, and was just recently diagnosed with ADHD. My whole life I thought I was this overly sensitive, insanely naive, sap.. I'm finally discovering more and more about ADHD, and all it entails, and... Oh my goodness... I don't feel so alone anymore! ...kinda sucks that I had to go through 39 years and a toxic marriage, before I found out, but hey! Better late, than never! 🤗
Did I cry when my husband politely asked me to fold clothes recently because I worry he'll leave me because I suck at laundry? Yes. Thankfully prior to my Adhd diagnosis I did a huge amount of trauma therapy, and I continue to find the grounding techniques really helpful. One quick tip is to keep something which smells strong close by (preferably with positive associations, but neutral is fine). It can kick you back into reality and away from dissociation quite quickly, and in getting into the habit you are also training yourself to observe your moods. Essential oils are often good for this, but I've found carmex works well in a pinch, and is a pretty normal thing to keep on your desk or in your bag.
This is such a great tip! I am 100% going to try this out - I do find it quite difficult to ground myself if I have got to a certain point of agitation! Thanks 🙏
Please make more videos🌞 they’re great
Wow, first time I've heard of this. I've been cutting myself off for the last 20 years. I can definitely relate to this.

Like you say, better you found out after 39 years than a possible 5, 10 or 15 more! So glad to hear you’re on the right track now though 😀
Thank you
