Another great sponsored video. I already have the Eufy Security System and can’t wait to get the light system as well. Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for this video. I have been on the fence about purchasing these lights. The features I'm most excited about are the security features with the lighting being tied into motion detection on my Eufy security system. You are the person whos opinion I trust most, and by you wanting to purchase more it shows they made a quality product.
I saw those in your last video and was wondering when the review was coming. I like the new permanent lighting idea and tying into the cameras is a nice feature that only Eufy would have at the moment. The brightness comments are what I would like to see changed too. Dimmer, but bright when a person is detected. My main issue is the install. Going 20 feet up a ladder on the front of the house is not in my comfort zone. Would have to find someone to install them that doesn't mind heights.
Same here. I stopped putting Christmas lights in my front roof line area ever since I have known people falling off their ladders causing fractures and worse head injury.
We have quite a few neighbors with this kind of lighting. What I find is that it looks great on large footprint homes, even better if it's a 2-story home. For the others it's just not as appealing. I also noticed for my neighbor with 2-stories that the lights are def more for accent because they don't light up the surroundings that well. We are considering up-lighting around our home or LED flood lights.
Great addition to our basement dance parties. I love the customization options. Had to get another set for outside accent lights. Now I'm considering another set to put around the lip of our pool to change the water color. Great video, thanks for the inspiration!
Hello, great presentation. I did buy two E120 and love them. I’ve been looking around, including eufy website to see if there is an available wire extension splitter. There is an area on my roof I could split the last 2 strands of lights.
I watched your video and it made me order the Eufy E22 for security I can't figure out how to make them start on the timer though. Setting the time to start and time to end The first option i chose sunset ( time to come home i would think ) - next I chose sun rise but nothing happens when i text them to change to white during a security breach. How does the timer work ? Is the first part " time on " ?
Mr. Hackster thanks for another great informative video. Do you happen to know if these lights will allow another string of 50ft lights be daisy chained to the 100 strip of lights? Thanks again for your help.
Please tell us that outdoor waterproof box you've got. I had seen these recently and that requirement of the being indoors was kinda holding me back. Thanks.
I like the lights and all the options. I wonder what's the cost. For instance on light bulbs packaging will tell you the cost annually. Love the video and the 🎵🎶
First let me say that I enjoy your reviews. You are always very thorough. I have Eufy cameras and love them. I am still on the fence about these lights because the power adaptor and control switch should be rated for outdoors without having to add a weatherproof box. Isn’t that the premise on these lights? Permanent “outdoor” lights. Both the adaptor and control should have an IP67 rating. I will look at the Govee’s before I make my decision. Again, thanks for the review!
@Lifehackster can you ask your contact why EUFY is so against POE? I have existing POE setup and would love to change to their ecosystem but they don't have many/if any POE camera's, spotlights etc
How far apart did you screw in the bracket? Did you do every other light? Or every light? Screw one. I’m having someone install it so have to give him exact instructions lol. My roof is really tall
Mr. LifeHackster, great video as usual. One question. in the app for these lights can you set daily on/off times and can those times automatically adjust for sunrise and sunset? (IE turn ON 15 minutes after sun set nd then off at 11PM every day?
Disco at LH's house! ;) Those look nice but wouldn't look right on our small house. I have some LV lighting I'm planning on installing this spring/summer that should look nice. I hope. FWIW I just took my Christmas lights down last weekend. In my defense we had 3 feet of snow in the yard until the first week of February when it melted. Yard was soup for the next week and a half.
please help me with a eufy camera that has a spotlight and can pan and tilt. was looking at the 4k spotlight professional but i don’t think it pans and tilts. I NEED to switch from ring i hate it. can be wireless or plug in
@@LifeHackster I saw those they are just expensive I was also looking into the reolink pan and tilt but i like how eufy doesn’t need a sd card and has the internal storage and will delete on its own. I have watched half your videos trying to make the decision lol thank you !
Is the Verizon Cube 5G Dual Band? I'm assuming it is.. There should be an option (like on my eeros) to turn off temporarily the 5G broadcast so that you can connect your 2.4 GHz devices.
@LifeHackster I just got off the phone with Verizon. They said the 5G is a 2.5hz. Now I'm thinking I just need to move the controller closer to my modem.
@ oh. I now get it.. it uses 5G cellular network but its WiFi is still 2.4 GHz.. it is basically like a hot spot. Yes, closer but if you cannot, you will probably need a WiFi extender.
I wonder if those lights interfere with the security cameras? cause I have a blue light on my front lawn and it makes all my cameras not see so well.. also Eufy left out the disco ball and the song playing of dancing queen by ABBA... Nice review !
wow impressive for my festive seasons & illuminating the whole place to “scare”?, looks more like to “welcome” everyone including the burglars here for the party hahaha😅love the music that comes with this video, might consider getting one to show off to the neighbours lol, but one thing with most security cameras, the illumination caused by the light strips are going to mess up with the already poor night footage captured by the cameras, we will be seeing more ghosty images hahaha
My house is all cinder block and roof is poured concrete. I don't think this is doable. I would have to drill holes and send tapcom screws to hold them.
It’s more than Christmas lights and it’s no different than other brands but having them outside and to sync with your cameras is something no other system can do
My ONLY CONCERN, is your neighborhood association or anyone really around you. I would be friggen mad as hell if a neighbor had this light-pollution going on! This is way more annoying than reasonable. Do you honestly think MOST people can be trusted to use this "light-show" responsibly??? I seriously doubt it....
I am actually seeing houses with these types of lights.. Govee is one brand that has been doing this for a while now. Accent lighting would be the main purpose and Holidays and Events will just be secondary.
I bought the govee version. I did not use the screw in clips. Instead, I bought plastic wire channels and cut them on my miter saw down to the 14.5" (roughly) between the lights. I attached 3m tape to the back of the channels and just went along installing 1 light the channel the next light and then the channel cover. It completely hides the wire and the 3m tape has held up perfectly so far. I did cut the wires on mine. Just use a sharpie to mark one of the edge wires so that you know which wire is #1 center and #3. Just use solderless heat shrink connectors to reconnect.

This is an excellent review, showing us every measurement, distance, and option. Great job!!

You have to select the time ( the rightmost 00:00) first then choose sunset or customize the time.

Can you compare them to Novostella outdoor lights?
I have to check that out. Thanks.
These are great 👌 love them.
Awesome light kit.
Thanks for watching!
How are you able to get more than 100ft lights strings to work?
If I wanted to add a third light to the original 2 how do I do that? One section of my lights are off.
If you have a 2 story is there a way to sync both together without connecting them?
Good question...but I don't have an answer but because there will be 2 controllers, I have a feeling that at this time, probably not.
Can you connect sets each other? To have instead of 100ft, 200ft with the same configuration?
Up to 150 ft
I was gonna ask, do you think you will do a review on the new 12mp lorex fusión cameras?
We will see.
Please tell us that outdoor waterproof box you've got. I had seen these recently and that requirement of the being indoors was kinda holding me back. Thanks.

They are $299 but currently have a $100 off coupon.
Can you as additional strings of lights to the existing set to go longer than the 99 feet with one power adapter?
Yes up to 150 feet or 45 meters.
Link to the weatherproof box?

How we can do the any kind of flag we like , like country flags
Can I replace 1 of the lights in case stop working?
Can you add more light sets I would probably need 250 feet for my house.

Thanks for watching! I have seen houses that have their Christmas Lights up all year round :)
Per electrical code "festive lighting" is allowed for a 90 day duration. NEC 590. 3b 😊
Tell that to a lot of houses here that have their Christmas lights up all year round :)
@@LifeHackster If you ever get tired of those lights, the city would have to back you up 😊
They look cool but cost $400 on Amazon in Canada so a bit pricey. But like the Govee lights they do look nice.
Please compare these to the Govee version to help me pick?
Thanks
We will see. Thanks for watching!
Does eufy allow multiple camera set ups on the app. Like if I want 1 camera at my mom’s and then another at my house?
Yes.

Can you connect more leds?
The wires can be cut. I extended my wires and swapped the connector ends for my install
I like these!!!!

Are they HomeKit or matter compatible?

Cost?
Normally 300 bucks for the kit. Currently has a 100 dollar coupon off.
Not sure how these will survive the brutal winters we get in the north east
I think it will but I'm not sure.

No. Bugger off.

my question is, why did you delete my comment.
@@abowden5079I don’t delete comments. TH-cam might have flagged your comment/question
Ha!! the start of the vid!! lol
Not a fan of RGB,
I would like warm or cool white, and on the same app as my Door bell and E380
I imagine your neighbors faces watching this. Lol
Will be used as accent lighting most of the year.

I don't think there would be a problem, there are a lot more homes with lights like this in my town and I think they're great.
