Oh look, GCash on its first ever year of existence. As someone who was born a year after it was introduced, I sometimes still can't believe GCash is this old.
The funny thing is, looking at these GCash ads, it makes it look like its present usage is how it was back then. It's not, lol. For much of its existence, it didn't have an app - you needed SMS commands to transfer and check money. And before the pandemic, it was mostly used as a glorified Western Union. But to their credit, the gamble paid off.
In just a few months and days, future Trudis Liit and most recently Abot Kamay na Pangarap star Jillian Ward(now known as Star of the New Gen) will be born on Feb 23, 2005
