90 years old and I still can't get enough of this. What a great band to march you down to the graveyard and rock you into the ground!!!
Am 56 and I hope I see 90 but I feel the same way you do. The greatest Rock and Roll on the on the planet. Rock and Roll is good for the Soul and I haven't found any as good as This. Rock on Brothers together once again
yessssss sweet sweet music to rock my gypsy soul....any decent jam band is a friend of mine
Right on Art!!!
❤
Maybe "Uncle John's Band" will be playing as well!
Gee..I'm only '73 in 2023! So lookin' forward to more of it all.
Thank you, thank all of you 😂 ❤
What is music if doesn't make you feel❤
Music ‘is food for the soul’ is what I’ve always thought! And everybody has their likes and dislikes - no shortage to choose from these days with YT and other platforms - something for everyone!
The 220 dislikes were from the producers of todays music....they realized the music they are producing today really sucks and are just jealous...thank you WSP & Tedeschi Trucks for keeping real music alive
I couldn't have said it better myself!!
Amen brother. It's good we still have brothers and sisters in the world like ùr to appreciate it.
Sooooo, you're like what, a tapeworm up the asses of all the modern producers to know this earth shattering news?
@@FredoLaredo all you have to do is listen to the "music" being produced today...it sucks...they're jealous...its obvious.
If you knew squat about music production, you'd know that the EGOS are huge. Those types don't get Jealous, because they believe they are The SHIT! Try listening to better quality music and bands, and then edgamacate your self by doing some research. Check out any of these; Todd Rundgren. Tedeschi Trucks. Daryl Hall, and the legendary Muscle Shoals, where Musicians and Producers alike, all agree music magic happens more often there, than any other studio.
does this woman know how great she is.. she is just out of this world
Derek knows. :)
Humble
I wonder why she DON'T TURN IT LOOSE, JUST SING LOUD AND PLAY THAT GUITAR,..SHE SINGS JUST ENPUGH TO GET WHAT SHE IS NEED OF..IF SHE ONLY KNEW HOW GREAT THAT ANGEL FROM MONTGOMERY REALLY WAS..THAT IS IN HER HEAD, YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT Y WANT GET WHAT YOU NEED..BULLSHIT SHE COULD HAVE IT ALL..JDW
Albert Strickland marriage material right there.
She knows....

Alan Vaughan I’ll take “things that never happened” for $1,000 Alex....
I had a similar experience at the 1st show I saw TTB in Vancouver, years ago. Afterwards, outside of the venue, she was so friendly, humble and kind. Signed my TTB poster and seemed sorta embarassed at my slightly gushing compliments, saying something to the effect of Derek getting all the after-show crowds. What a bluesy soulful doll. Before the show we were outside smokin and hung out with back-up vocalist Mark. Also a humble kind soul.
Next time I saw em I was in the 5th row, last year, at the Queen E Theatre, I was in row 5 - epic performance! Love this band!
Also, last show, they all came out back to their buses and we chatted with Trombone-Chicky (Elizabeth Lea)...also so friendly and nice. She kicks ass on that horn, as the horn players all do!
this comment could likely be the lost verse to the original song
Doctor: that's your last 7 minutes of life
Me: play "You can't always get what you want"
Doctor: but it's 10:29
God: it's ok
Love it!🔥😁👊
Coolest comment this year!
ADDABOY...
Unfortunately that's no how it works. You can't always get what you want
@@richiewalteriv but if you try sometime..?
Widespread Panic and Tedeschi Trucks?! I'm like a kid in a candy store right now!
I was at this show, it was amazing. TTB was awesome as an opener and even cooler when they showed back up for the encore

You’re right. It’s epic. One of best covers ever
The influence of Duane and Greg Allman continues to spread out further and further.
You're absolutely right! The first time I saw Derek Trucks in concert he was the very young age of 16. I saw him in Greenville SC in the summer playing with Greg Allman. All I thought was WOW! He is channeling Duane big time! What a great show. Just a few short days later I went to a small night club in Augusta GA and there Derek was playing a solo concert! I had chills just being there seeing him at such a young age and I knew I was seeing history in the making! So glad I was able to see him at such a young age and glad he is playing with such great people now and carrying on such a great heritage. Can't say enough about Susan too! What a great combination they make! Just wow, wow! Nothing else to say!
I totally agree. Got some Bonnie Raitt sounds too.
Don't forget the late Colonel Bruce Hampton too. He shaped a lot of WSP and DTB.
@Anthony Marks Yes - Dickey Betts! One of the greatest guitarists and composers.
with a little help from Keith & mick love to all misic lovers here play on & many thx.
Mr. Trucks just looks so calm and at peace when he's simply just shredding it! LOL
Pete Price always
did the same when he played with the Brothers.
Like Duane said when asked why the Brothers didn't run all over the stage, "This ain't no fuckin' Ballet"
Check out Derek playing with the Allman Brothers opening act when he was 13 years old. It's on YT. Shorts and a ball cap playing Layla like a master. At 13, for chrissakes.
they say Susan makes him wears a slide on his penis in bed.
Incredible band! Love Mr. Trucks’ guitar and Ms. Tedeschi’s voice.
Her voice could carry a thousand shit shows!
I love watching Derek's fingers fly across those strings!
Derek is the guitar, the guitar is Derek, and The Allman Brothers Legacy lives on..................This band (Tedeschi Trucks Band) is the best thing I have heard in a long time.
So right
Panic is all right too I guess
a tribute to the Allmans and Stones in one song....life is good
yes!! he threw in some Dickie Licks!!♥️♥️♥️
The thing Ive always liked about Derek's solos is that they are all so MELODIC. No gymnastics just for the sake of doing that cuz he could. We use to call his kind of playing Tastey. It moves ya.
Tasty Indeed!
As a rhythmically challenged white man, I love any music that gets me moving without thinking about moving! This most definitely qualifies! Nice job you guys!
An old hippy asked me the other day...."is rock dead?"....I replied that "it's underground, where it belongs."
Fart Knocker This isn't really underground tho
STEP 1 to great music--turn off ya radio !!
Step 2, listen to men with beards play guitar
Step 3 dejen de mirar la televisión.
@@tanananagananaganaki3991 Maybe more accurate is: "It's on the road, where it belongs."
One of the most beautiful female voices of the international pop / rock of the last 30 years at least, if not always .... great Susan !!
Thank you bro....ive been telling people of this amazing songbird!!Hands down she has one of the best voices in music EVER!!
Can you imagine her and Karen Carpenter together ❤❤❤. Beautiful music for certain
Jimmy Herring and Derek share a bond that is ALWAYS evident when they play.. Then you add in the other variables... Susan, WSP, a god dman Stones song--- This is a delight to my senses that sooths my soul..
Actually Susan is not a 'variable'. Without Susan it's just another band. She is the Soul.
Is it just me or does the roots of the Allman Brothers run deep and wide
So deep. So, so deep.
Brother, they touch so much......they live on forever!
The Brothers are missed !!!
Butch and Derek emulate that fact!
great Stones cover
Damn that was an old fashioned southern throwdown.
Eric Albright this here's a hoot nany...
Never really looked up to anyone until I met Derek Trucks. Great musician and human being.
He's the living definition of humility. The world could use many more just like him.
Cal L , because he grew up with the ABB, after Gregg got straight.
Amazing version of one the most spectacular of the Rolling Stones songs.
The Voice, the Horns, the Rippin guitars, the rhythm..Freaking awesome.
and of course the mythic song
Well said my friend
As all my favorite bands are leaving this world and forming Heavens own R & R band. I thank God for the TTB as they are becoming my new favorite band for the 21st century. Genius bunch of musicians. Love this band !!!♥️
Check out Allman Betts they're good
Exactly.
What a superb band, I never tire of hearing the influences of rock, country, soul and blues. And what a voice!!!
Yep...shes great!!
What an incredible confluence of talent on this Rolling Stone classic! Derek's solo is so spot on, Ronnie Wood or Keith would be impressed!
I don't care who is doing this song it always gives me a big chill....
Watching Jimmy and Derek griining at each other and getting off on the other's solos is just priceless. Lotta love for the music up on that stage.
This performance is almost 4 years old. Sounds as fresh today as the day it came blowing out of these speakers
One of the few times I have seen Derek Trucks look at another guitar player with admiration....
More than most bands these guys always seem so genuinely happy
Easy. What A Song. , Life.,. THANKS...
i keep coming back to this, time after time. two of my favorite bands having the most fun with each other on stage, singing one of my favorite songs so beautifully. almost makes me cry every time i've watched it.
I saw Derick Trucks for the first time I think around early 1990s. He was only 16! It was in the summer early 90s. In upper state SC balloon/rock concert. He was playing with the Allmans. He is Butch Trucks' nephew. I'm thinking to myself: Holy crap! He is channeling Dwayne Allman the way he was already playing blues/slide guitar at that young age!! Who does that? That was a really great weekend that I won't go into details now, but exactly a week later I was at a small nightclub in Augusta GA and there Derick was playing there as a solo artist. I wanted to greet him at the end of his set, but because he was still underage, according to GA laws, after he was done with his set for the night, he was not allowed to talk to fans, or sell/autograph any CDs or whatever. But I was very impressed with him as a teenager with his musical ability! I'm even more impressed now as he has become a really great musician and I'm glad he has married and is performing with Susan Tedeschi! They make such a great team musically for a good many years now! I think his uncle is really proud of him! I know I am as a very avid fan on all the original Allman Bros band since around 69!
Blue Sky tease during Jimmy's solo. Derek quotes it back to him. Awesome.
Derek and Susan really are the perfect rock and roll couple
AGREED!
God Bless those 2.. Saving American Music!!
Norman Peterson seriously
Rumor has it their offspring were inducted into the RnR HOF at birth. ;o)
Susan is perfect.. great smile and seems like a wonderful person
Aweome! Let's not forget to thank Mick and Keef and their mates for writing and recording this timeless song 50 years ago. And Dickie Betts for the piece of Blue Sky in the closing leads.
Chief Keef
Ha! You're dead on about the Kickie Betts riff. Seriously fun!
never forget Mick Taylor for the guitar solo . i was in Brussels in 1973, as Keith was forbidden in France. certainly the best performence of this song by the Stones. listen to " brussels affair " . thks to Tedeschi .
ole stuff, strolin' through this you tube riggamarole, well, ttb, is, whatever, "the" ....wonderfull.,.no more words...enjoy..
Are we gonna talk about Jimmy teasing Blue Sky in his solo and Derek following up with a little tease of his own. Beautiful.
Little bit of a walk on the wild side too
His solo did have that feel. He subbed for Dickey Betts on tour many years ago, and could have become a permanent member, but didn't want to split time with WSP. Worked out well for everyone. He would have been an awesome fit, though.
Thought I was the only one….
A Second in Time. Thanks.
Keith Richards would be proud of the panic and susan is just a major plus!!!👍
You can't Always get Blue Sky, but if you try...
ABB will live for a while longer...thanks Susan and Derek and all the other great musicians in this band!! :-)
It’s all in the blood baby and their blood runs deep in southern roots.. ✌️
Omg the family panic band! Just when I thought today was at its peak y'all hit me with this!!! So beautiful, pure elevation😁
The whole idea is to keep it forward !!😁
Mr jimmy herring. Susan takes over when nerves run out. Her husband is greatest guitarist on planet. On could argue he’s better than names I don’t want to say to get in argument with, but Derek is special
Greatest on the planet? I'd say you've got two of them here and I wouldn't pick a winner. Except us listeners!
The Greatest Blues-Rock Band at this moment .. !
am i in heaven man...did I just hear You Can't Always Get What You Want - Blue Sky Dickey Duane solos - You Can't Always Get What You Want ?
Love this song by the RS BUT this version is so good, saw the ABB in Saratoga, NY in 71. Warm up band was Marshall Tucker. What a fuckin night!
To me some of the best guitar timing. Once in a life time player in Derek
Derek is the Michael Jordan of slide! If not the GOAT, damn close and today he’s only 41 (2020), which is freaking incredible!!! A generational, if not an all-time great. Matched with Susan they are just amazing. I’m Gobsmacked!
@Anthony Marks You nailed it!!!
Love Tedishia Trrucks band
Awesome husband and wife band kinds old hippy musics are the greatest artists I've heard in a long time >10
Check out Shovels & Rope. Husband and wife two piece band.
Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks .
Hello Rhonda how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
Thor and Odin both playing lead guitars. Amazing.
Ya, but he has a real shitty voice... Not impressed.
And Robert Baratheon on bass.
Best rendition of this song ever. Thank you Derek and all and God bless all from Patrick
Another recommendation is Rolling Stones Brussels Affair version of this song. Stunning!
Saturday afternoon…had a few beers…sit back, enjoy, turn this up!
I love the way they covered this song, Susan Tedeschi & John Bell sound great together!!
I used to drink in the Chelsea drug store .Great boozer in the day . FFS it's a MacDonalds now .How sad .
Thank heavens for kind souls.... Love this and it made me cry.... I'm thankful for you
I sure wish that these folks would get closer to me in Texas, maybe I could afford to see them live. They are so good, gives me hope that real music is still out there!
We’ll help you see them live in Atlanta or somewhere near Atlanta. Say the word! Life is short and you need to see them live. So good… ❤️
Sitting here during the 2020 pandemic Tedeschi Trucks Band I'm and old rocker and love this band!
Agree . I’m only 71 and hope to get to see them live a couple more times
They turned a Rolling Stones song into an Allman Brothers jam!
No they turned it into 🎵, that what they do..
Every musician ever: "sure like the way Trucks' licks fit what I'm doing here"
Got our tickets to Huntsville show, friends, family and T T.B.
When I feel out of sorts I cue this one up and everything is ok.
Yeah Baby! Can't Wait to See them Again!
Derek Trucks is one of those guitarists that go beyond. Wonder where he will take it next 20 yesrs. Saw him when he was like 12 years old playin' with ABB. Knew then he was special.
I believe his uncle was the ABB drummer for several years.
watch Duane play & u'll see where Derek got his style God bless em both!
Love how it turned into an Allman Bothers guitar jam magically
there is very little magic in everyday life, so when you see it you rejoice! this is magic. Ah, ye children of men, oh, ye of little faith........god bless, it's still a beautiful world, gz
The Allman brothers are alive and well!
Yah, that's a straight-up Alllman Bros. groove. So feckin' good.
Her vocals, his guitar, does it get better? Amazing! Wow!
What a tremendous rendition of a classic rock song!
One of those videos that makes you sad only cause you weren’t there
Love Susan!!!!!
Gotta check out Derek trucks video of him playing"Layla" in the 90's. He's about 13yrs old.
Prodigy.
I had tickets for this weekend...... Friggin covid!!
Well I know where I'll be next July 4th! Saratoga NY!!!
Tedeski trucks baby!!!
Peace
Derek and Susan were made for each other.....love & music!!. #RedheadDeadhead
Susan just gets more beautiful by the day😆
It's her spirit ... she absolutely glows
Nothing ruins a good song like a commercial 2/3 of the way into the song. Way to go TH-cam.
Derek Trucks takes fame to the best level. Love the guy and Susan too. What a band!
One of the best all star performances ever
WHAT! So happy! No one/s better! Lovin life!
Dare I say, the best rendition of " You Can't Always Get What You Want" that I've ever heard! Gave me goosebumps. Even heard a little "Walk On The Wild Side" by Lou Reed and on the solo a little Dickie Betts of The Allman Brothers.
I totally agree with both the gentlemen under here - It smells A. Bros of the whole concept and Susan is an all-around musician with a great talent
To just jam. To play what feels right, and to play it from the heart. That is music, and this is music fine rendition great job
Hardly ever see Derek smile when playing, he's so serious. Nice to see him smile several times during this song.
God damn I guess these southern boys knew hot licks the whole time. Great people here. Finest kind
Anthony Burnam ii
Blessed be His name +
where ya been son, lol. welcome to the fun!✌🏻
Thanks guys some of the best music I've heard in a long time ♥️🎶🎸✌👍👍👍👍thanks brothers 🙏
This is a classic song written by two British lads. Now it is owned by the Allman Brothers Spiritual Tent of Mankind. There will be no lawsuit, only smiles. It is still those limey's song.
It's so funny ..i took my 17 yrs old ..to see wide spread so he could see what daddy was about ....
In the truck home..he ask me ? When do they play next ....?? He knows now ......
He has been to Colo., Athens, Jacksonville......seen um 22x now. He'll I've seen um 47x. Son is a new spread
Ten minutes of absolute magic.
Just got my first TTB show and first at red rocks. Amazing band venue. If I can do this at 90 like Art would be even more amazing
My my
my
Gosh what a performance of this song, bravo all🎉
This is just awesome! Two guitar greats at the same time. Star tho is Susan, the woman can belt it for sure.
Just what I needed
Anybody notice a little subtle ode to Walk On the Wild side right in the 5:20-5:35 area? Could be just me. This is great stuff.
Yes, definitely the bass line 😊
If it ain't it should be
Yes, I did notice rhat
Who could miss that
Derek Trucks is the finest of all guitar players since '89.
Goddamn!!! Disemboweled it from top to bottom. Would love to see them do the same to Can't You Hear Me Knocking.
See them together every year at the Lockin Festival - WSP played with Steve Winwood, great set.
CJ, bite your tongue. Some songs shouldn't be touched, even by great bands. "Can't You Hear Me Knocking"
is one of them.
Derek Trucks is a magic man on that guitar...makes it sing..
Was at this show, amazing
I believe something special is in the water down there in Florida. Of this tedeschi trucks band are never off the beat. Mr trucks is simply amazing one of the best slides in the world. Congo square with Mr Sonny landreth simply the two best flies ever amazing. If you want to learn how to play guitar maybe watch that about 50 million times you won't still get it. Thanks for the great shows Bobby g
Good to see old Stones numbers becoming 'Standards'....and played so well.
George Bennett I
Jimmy just showed what a great guitar player he is.
Just damned good!
