GM Smirnov, you make my favorite chess content (and I consume a lot). I find you to be the most "helpful" for my play. I think it's your concise way of speaking. No one, without mentioning names, even comes close. It's very rare to be entertained while also picking up useful knowledge and I don't think anyone manages that better than you. Because of you, I've internalized some concepts that used to go in one ear and out the other. I'm looking into your courses.

But the big teaching moment: Even in bullet there's not any real reason to try and save one second by premoving your black opening. Don't ever forget premoves can be gamed. I wouldn't be surprised that MC was showing his scary prowess right out of the gate knowing your tendency for a b3 premove. His eidetic memory is formidable.

At 4:44 after Qd7, isn't it better to just reverse the move order and go for material with Qxh6? Then if gxh6, Nf6+ picking up with queen, leaving black with much the same position except being up a piece with the queens off the board. As the rook on f8 is also attacked, there's no time to trap the knight and it'll escape via going back to f6. Black's kingside is still wrecked and the rooks are going to bear down on the F file and the positioning of the pieces makes black getting his minor pieces to anything resembling activity a very time consuming process.
Hi there Igor, I recently purchased your complete lesson pack. So far I've done the free Master Class, and the Thinking System lessons. Do you have a recommended syllabus? An order of which lessons should be studied first / next / last? I've found the Master Class and the Thinking System to be SUPER useful so far. They are definitely fundamental lessons. And i'm glad I studied those two first. I feel like they'll help me understand all the other lessons better. Anyway I would very much appreciate a prioritization list for the other lessons I took up chess as a hobby last month, and had a rocky start playing rapid games against online opponents. But I knew I just needed to learn more about the game. Now I'm winning games and my rating is climbing. I've won 20 of the last 30 that i've played. And I'm having a lot of fun doing it. I was always interested in chess. But I always thought you needed to be lucky enough to know good chess players to get any good yourself. But now-a-days the internet has everything 😄 Thank you so much for putting these lessons out there. And helping me find ideas to improve my game. I'm really enjoying them, and your youtube channel. ~Keith
