Happy Birthday Igor! I can’t believe you’re 37; you look ten years younger. And thank you for these great videos that simplify this complicated game and make it accessible for all of us.
This is gonna be so helpful for my tournament. Thanks Igor for your dedication!I have been a long time fan btw. This is a topic that nobody covers, whereas you are the only person who genuinely cares about the all round development of a player
Strongest move: Queen-f1 check, Rook-f1 takes the queen, Rook-f1 takes rook w check, king-h2, bishop-e5 check, pawn-g3, knight-f3 check; forks the king and queen.

In no time, I've skyrocketed from a beginner to over 2000 ELO, thanks to your videos and straightforward strategies! While my progress has been against untimed bots, I'm eager to translate this skill into live, timed games. I know blitz and bullet games are still a stretch, but my rapid rating has soared!
If I bought one of your courses, what do I get? Is it like a pdf or videos or something? And how long would it take me (estimate) to improve using this?
Happy Birthday 🎂 Great principles, this is where I usually mess up. I make a bad more or a move that really doesn't do anything. Also I sometimes make mores in the wrong order to try to get check. So on the second game I would have put the King in check first instead of taking the pawn with the bishop and that doesn't win the game.
I'm new fan of yours sir smirnov, i can't afford to buy your books but tru this I'm truly glad bcuz i have gain lots of learning as newbie, Thanks and God bless sir to your vlog😌
That last sequence in stockfish gives a weird result. King doesnt take the bishop, but it still says its mate in 8 for white. But going through the moves it then says its only a position of +7.5 or so after horsey jumps to discover check the white king. It looks like there is no forced mate.
@21:05 how would you choose Bxh7+ vs. Ne7+ ? Do both lead to mate? and why didn't you talk about King safety in that moment: White's King and Queen are lined up on an open diagonal? Thanks for all of the great videos!
How much do you consider your opponent's moves, closing down their pieces etc? They might have a fork or stunning sacrifice , shouldn't you look for this and try to stop it?
A note on Nielsen as coach first for Anand then for Carlsen. Nielsen coached Carlsen i the Candidate Tournament 2013 but not in the World Championship so not to betray Anand with the knowledge he had about him
That initial position is just the kind that drives me nuts. My mind tends to go on tilt when I'm faced with a number of plausible moves in a complicated position. And I still agonize over whether to play ...fxe4 or ...f4, even after decades of trying to make up my mind. ...Nxc6 instead of bxc6 is a very instructive move, as I'd be inclined to automatically recapture with the pawn to contest the center, but it's easy to see now that recapturing with the pawn is superior.
the Ba6 move at the end looks completely normal even though it's a blunder and I think it would be easier for white to find the Nc6 tactic than it would be for black. If I was black and calculated Ba6 I wouldn't even think about calculating any further cuz the position seems normal so I would probably make the same mistake
Qf1 check rook takes on f1 rook takes on f1 king h2 bishop e5 check only legal move is to push pawn to g3 and then knight to f3 forks the king and the queen
Igor, im guessing the correct moves when you ask in your position "what the best move". But i cant apply it to my own game 😢. If i have an advantage, i just don't know how to carry it because i have no idea how to attack 😔
Only one problem and that is you talk to match even thier could be a small matter that you can finished it with only one shart sentence but you just keep talking and talking thus I don't watch your videos till the end. I can't your too much don't mind please.
Everybody said QF1 sac but I thought Be5 and then Qf1. EDIT: after a few minutes it turns out I was right and you did just that and got check-mate but WHY did you say you missed the stronger move? Your Be5 was mate in 3. The Qf1 sac would be just a major reduction and still many moves to play before end.
Qf1 Rf1 and Be5 are all checks and force white to react. The move Be5 first is not a check and so white could play Rg1 for instance and there is no mate. So that is why Qf1 etc is the strongest sequence

Agreed! FREE
Be5+ no? Suspect this is a typo ;)
That's what I got too. I bought middlegame and endgame courses today, looking forward to studying them later.
..and the beauty is that NxQd2 also protects the R on f1!
But white Knight on D3 could kill the bishop after the e5 check. Pawn to g3 is not the only move😉

Very instructive video!! I will give it another watch later today.

The missed winning sequence based on a knight fork on c2. 1..e3 1. Q x e3 a5 2. Nbd5 Nc2 fork.
Bro,Thanks to u for this masterpiece.Love from Bangladesh ❤❤❤❤❤
This video is probably the most helpful chess instructional I have ever watched. Thank you!

Thnx, that helped me alot to understand mid positional game better now!
hi Igor, can you make a video about what to do in closed positions, i struggle with them frequently
Nice theoretical lecture with practical examples, thanks ❤.

Great lesson!

Ive been stuck on the Li bot for months and after watching this video i beat her first time!! Thank you igor!! I found a mate in 5!!

Happy Birthday Igor❤
Igor is so much better than levy
Is that strange?😂
Igor is a GM. Levy is not
Even tho Igor is better just because people are gms doesn't mean levy will lose to them he has beaten multiple gms @@amaechivictor2292
@@amaechivictor2292 badluck of levy, he has grandmaster level skills and he proved it many times.

Qf1+...Rf1...Be5+...NF3+...
At 16:06 is bishop b5 good?
I thought of it seems really good
Qf1… wins the white queen because the knight no longer protects from bishop e5+.
Knights, mostly, are my 'nemisis' so i trade or take them asap...
Is it Qf1+ Rxf1 Rxf1+ Kh2 Be5+ g3 Nf3+ forking
For the puzzle: a5,e3 & nc2 i think
(Correct me if I'm wrong)
Isnt it queen sac??
❤
The strongest move in any position is king e2
Near the end what if king does not capture the bishop sacrifice and instead moves to h8 then what
Qch, rook takes, rook takes, Kh2, Bch, G3, K check and bye bye White Queen, hello sunshine...
Oh, at 13:56
And he sacrificed .... His opponent respect 😅

Wow, 99 views in 3 minutes lots of remote chess academy fans.
how could i lay this as black if i would never have gotten to this position? why is the king on h7?

I followed your logic but then you moved your good rook. That didn't follow from your 3 ideas. I assumed you would move an unemployed piece.

I was wondering the same, checkmate is better than queen capture anyhow
Qf1 Rf1 and Be5 are all checks and force white to react. The move Be5 first is not a check and so white could play Rg1 for instance and there is no mate. So that is why Qf1 etc is the strongest sequence
