Snapshot should also be retroactively removed as well. Why old 4 stars can take advantage of snapshot with their quite high numbers, but new 4 stars have similar if not lower numbers but cant ever snapshot? Xiangling for example without snapshot would be still good, not no longer top tier off-fielder only due to privilege of snapshot that other 4 stars can no longer have.

Snapshot as intentional mechanic to characters with intentionally lower numbers, so they would have to do rotation properly to match/compete against other units would be good, perfect even. Problem is that exact opposite of how it works. Early stronger 4 stars are snapshotting, newer weaker ones can't. Making already wide power gap even wider.

@marcelusjarabe4057 the description in the constellation is very confusing, but it does give the 15% Pyro buff to all type of weapons. You use the burst without artifacts on your main and see the 15% extra on the stat page if it helps. Benny C6 is so good.
He's also one of the only characters who visually suits the new pipe sword you get from fishing in Fontaine. It may not be his best in slot, but he looks really appropriate holding it and it does have ER. It's possibly why we're getting the free Bennet.
Agreed, he sort’ve has a junkyard/steampunk aesthetic and the pipe weapon suits him. But as far as color palette goes, I think it actually suits Xingqiu better.
I remember when back in the early days of Genshin Ningguang was considered S-tier because she could easily put up Crystallize shields with her normal attacks. Chongyun was S, Klee was S tier and Bennett was F until they found out about his heal burst
Bennett is who you use either with Pyro characters or mid tier dps like Yoimiya and Ganyu who'd really like the damage boost he provides. That's why he isn't all that needed in Ayaka, Alhaitham and Hu Tao teams.
nope, they shoudl just fix finalyl only his stupid C6 and add the missing line of coding, that converts over the DMG Bonus of your character you play the very moment you enter the Burst Circle of a C6 Bennet to Pyro DMG Bonus too, like smart non lazy devs not on crack for 3 years would do and fix that .... cause that simple quick change would instantly fix all the issues with the Sword, Polearm and Claymore characters that have no Element Override Protection like Raiden, like Chongyun, Razor or Eula immediately, because then you wouldnt need to fear anymore, that you hit with your character like a wet noodle suddenly the moment you stand in Bennets Burts, because you lost like your 46-90% Elementak DMG Boost, because the dumb game converted your DMG TYPE to Pyro, without converting over your DMG BONUS you have to Pyro too!! Fixing this single code lien in his C6 is alot faster, much more cost efficient and required much lesser effort to fix, than to basically rework the whole hard coded Constellation System just for a single Character whole C6 ruins synergies, because the devs responsivle for coding his C6 was on crack andobviously not on his/her clear mind, otherwise woudl have been such a beginner game design flaw been realized.. that you dont make DMG Type Conversions, without DMG Bonus Conversions also too... But MHY simpyl doesn't care ... that this crap hasnt been fixed in now 3 years is simply proof enough of that fact - sadly.

Fellow Eula main here! I still have him at C5, but I am pretty much gonna C6 him anyways, since I rarely use him with Eula anyways; only for screenshot moments. Conventionally, I either use her with her standard Raiden/(Rosaria/Shenhe)/Zhongli team, or hyperbloom with Yelan/Nahida/Kuki if I need to break shields. I don't think I have any other team that the C6 would be a detriment aside maybe Chongyun Melt... but I literally never use him... or at least I can't since I don't have him built yet, lol. Once I get Mika to C6 (C4 atm) this will be even less of an issue!
A great segment would to talk about new teams that he makes with his c6. For example, burgeoning Bennett is imo much stronger than Thoma because you don't need as much ER and aren't reliant on the burst, so you can fit in more EM. Pyro dps kazuha is also really fun Double Pyro Double hydro (Bennett xiangling xingqiu yelan) gets more vaporizes with his c6 These are just a few I can name but there might be more soup or sukokomon teams with Bennett c6 that I don't know about yet
I'd argue that Bennett's C6 isn't the problem so much that Hoyo seems like they refuse to create more characters with similar functionality or versatility (and you could say this for the rest of the "Power 5"). Candace, for example, isn't a bad character all told, but there are just enough gaps in her kit that prevent her from being a top pick in most teams. You'll get the odd outlier like Yaoyao and Collei, but if you're trying to be frugal with your Primos (and/or bank account) and also want to keep the blood pressure down (i.e. artifact farming), there's little incentive to go beyond the "Power 5" and just calling it a day.
i got C6 bennett a long time ago and many people have been telling me that i made a big mistake when i activated his C6. but i dont play physical, i don't like playing ayaka, so im enjoying C6 bennett. i don't see any problem with him. the only regret i have is that yelan doesn't really benefit from bennett cause she doesn't need attack (im a huge yelan simp and it would be fun to get more buffs for her in main dps role lol)
Yeah I c6'd him as well. There are so many other buffers by now and so many teams that don't need him. Bow users, catalyst users and characters with their own elemental infusion don't care about it either. So my Yanfei really enjoys a C6 Bennet
I just c6'd him. I don't care anymore. That red mark is naggingly annoying. I don't mind my eula not benefiting from him, I just want my HUD clean and pristine.
I got Bennett his C6 because most of the teams i run him on benefit from it. Dendro made the decision even easier because it opened up so many viable Bennett-less team comps.
A lot of dps lately that have melee weapons have infusions that can't be overriden so c6 Bennett won't interfer with them, I hope this trend continues and I think it will. Plus with all the niche buffers we have other options plus more could be released, though Bennett can also heal on top of buffing, but you can use a Zhongli or other healer it is not the end of the world. Also with dendro's release, there are a lot of great teams that don't need him along with existing teams that don't want him. I don't have use physical dps but even if we get a physical in the future that I like, Mika plus c6 Rosaria are good for physical damage dealers. For a long time now the only team I used Bennet on is International and now Lyney mono pyro, which can only benefit from his C6. But for newer players or those with a limited roster activating his c6 could be bad, but it really depends on your account.
Infusions work on which is the more dominant element. For example pyro beats cryo, that's why bennett c6 overwrites ayaka and chongyun's infusion. And hydro beats pyro, that's why candace doesn't get overridden by bennett c6. If we get more DPSs with cryo or other infusions like anemo or possibly electro that can be overridden by c6 Bennett then it could be bad.
@@EugeneDorkdinkletonBonquavo That is not what I am refering to. I am talking about dps with infusions in their kit which evr since Inazuma we have gotten a lot but some did exist before. Bennett can't override characters like Raiden or Itto (or others similar to them) where they have an infusion window after using burst to deal damage, or a character like Ayato or Alhaitham (among others) where their skill gives them infusion that can't be overriden. We have quite a few now. He can override Ayaka but I only use her in freeze anyway.

Their weapon becomes infused with an element so every hit deals elemental damage pretty much every dps since Inazuma has a state of infusion that can't be overriden or is bow/catalyst and doesn't count. Technically the wording in the kits says "converted to" but it is still an infusion because their weapon changes from physical to elemental and their kits state that it can't be overriden. Eula was the last dps released that Bennett ruins everyone since then is fine, I don't include Ayaka as ruin because she at least has other options outside of Bennett.
Oh my god I can relate so badly. I have a C5 Bennett and am getting the C6 from that event. And there’s no way my impulsive ass can survive with an exclamation mark right there in my character list..
I find it mind-blowing that Bennett is so ever present in people's minds and teams that Hoyo has to go out of their way to design all characters going forward with his existence in mind, yet they still haven't updated the wording on his C6.
On Abyss 3.7, I observed that lots of players that has their Benny on DPS set griping that they always got killed by those damn Beasts. The ones that have Benny on Healing Bonus circlet survived instead. So, when you're facing those beasts, it might be worth considering switching your build. Just my two cents.
As a bennett main, I C6'd him and have no regrets. The only team I lost was Chongyun melt Bennet, but I gained so many team comps from C6ing Bennett: reverse melt Kaeya, improved burgeon Bennett, the "we have hu tao at home" Xiangling, thundering furry, and so many more.
An exception to the not using Kokomi and Bennett together: Beidou/Kokomi tazer team w/ Kokomi as the on-field. Though in that set up, for the duration of her burst, Kokomi forsakes the role of healer. 😂
C6 Bennett ruins his synergy with C6 Lynette, as his pyro infusion overrides her anemo infusion. Therefore you should not only carefully consider how it affects the current roster, but also how it could affect ANY random future unit that you might be interested in. Is it worth potentially ruining those future interactions irrevocably for a few measly points of extra damage when you're already clearing Abyss fine without it?
I won't C6 mine,but purely because I wish to do very.... off meta builds, and Bennett offers a way to power those builds up/bring them up to the bare minimum power level, and Pyro infusion may mess that up.

Very informative video. However, I want to comment that Yoimiya's best team does not include Benett. It is Yelan, Xingqiu, Zhongli. She wants to vape her 5th arrow, so you don't want to get interrupted. As seen in the video, you needed to dodge or you get thrown by enemies. That's not good. The other team is Yelan, Yunjin, Zhongli. C6 Yunjin buffs slightly more than c6 benett. Tho, you can use benett if you dont have c6 yunjin.
The part where you explain about the synergy with Bennet and Kazuha is so true. I play Ganyu melt w/ Zhongli and those 2, most of the times in situations where there are many enemies whether in overworld or Spiral Abyss, this duo will usually finish off the initial wave of enemies before I even get to switch to my Ganyu to shoot em

First time I saw Bennett, I thought he was an ode to Kingdom Hearts. Looking forward to his keyblade signature weapon. LOL. But he's fantastic, very simple and fun to play, I tend to use him a lot and yes, he's amazing with Kazuha. The swirling Pyro they do together is sick.
You are getting more benefit out of it than downsides Physicals should have cryo and electro anyway(rip xinyan) The team comps that used to use bennett now have better units for their teams A good chunk isn’t even effected by his infusion
I've been telling people since 1.2 that bennet is secretly the only 6-Star character in the game. I stand by my word, and I'm so happy I'll be able to get him on my wishless account now.
I C6'd Bennett quite a while ago and while it had more ups than downs, I sometimes wish I could disable constellations - the only reason I've not gotten C6 Lynette yet :/
I C6 Bennett to force myself to not use him on every team, there are some characters that just make you depend on them too much and rust your skill... on a game that is already easy to a fault (looking at you Zhongli)
I just c6'd him and have never had an issue. He's not the only character and I mostly use him in teams with like Navia or whatever and he doesn't override her, but even if he did it wouldn't matter much
Childe international is another meta team who's Benny-dependent. He's also one of Xiao's best supports as he loves atk buffs and his healing. He can also be the flex slot for Itto mono geo because while he scales off def, it's exactly like Hu Tao's situation and Benny buff still works. Another interesting teammate is an EM Jean because their bursts together can cause sunfire, which is niche but a fun mechanic. I've had his C6 inactivated for almost two years and I've learned to live with the red dot. I've been scared of new characters not being compatible. But now that I got Lyney and I'm enjoying him more than I expected, and Wrio's not going to be phys in the end, I might as well take the plunge and activate that shit
Childe is a bow user and c6 would make Xiangling even betterin International. Geo is garbage who cares, Xiao idk that constant plunging playstyle ain't for me. btw even tho i think geo is garbage im still going for Navia

I got C6 Bennett after almost 3 years and i unlocked it immediately . His C6 + Xiangling C6 makes Xiangling pyronado deals so much damage and buff a lot of pyrdo units. If i had a second to choose, i would still unlock the C6. You wouldn’t want to run Ben with Eula either as he will already ruin superconduct reaction as a pyro unit.
I did not get him until I pull for Yelan. Now I have him c7 already and c8 with event. But I am already completing abyss 36 without him. So he will chill as 20 levels for long time for me. I don't need him anymore!
For Hu Tao teams at C6 Bennett it's not that bad and the buffs from Bennett vs low HP Hu Tao are pretty close. I think the only teams it's pretty off to use are the Eula teams or any other Physical carry like Razor (which ironically it's now used as Burgeon with Bennett C6), Physical Xinyan and Physical Keqing which are not used that much really on those builds and may use Mika or other common Cryo/Electro supports.
Something that all content creators stopped mentioning about his C6 is that it removes the ability to play his best build, a melt carry. Just build him full DPS with Crimson Witch and Chongyun for max damage. And 15% pyro buff is really low damage increase in whole damage calculation. Especially when everyone runs Kazuha anyways who gives over 40% elemental bonus. And last thing, we can never know if new character is coming that really doesn't want pyro infusion.
You bumped your head. He’s a far better melt dps at C6 when paired with Rosaria or Ganyu. Both apply cryo 1.5-2 seconds which gives him a guaranteed melt every 2 or 3 attks. If you’re talking vape w/ Xingiu, it means more vapes than C5. Idk where you’re coming up with the idea about Chongyun since Bennys E has a cooldown; whereas his C6 normal attks don’t. Even with Alhaithems sig Bennys C6 dmg is greater than the C5-. What I like about his C6, and something content creators stopped talking about (I doubt that they even have) is the power his C6 gives to any sword/claymore wielding character. I’ve ran Crimson witch Sayu with Thoma n Rosaria and she’s slapped 90k normal attks (melt) per swing. You can run the same build with Keqing, Etc and they will be doing WAY more dmg than what their elemental kit provides- as long as they have cryo supports infusing for the melt. If Sayu is slapping 65-100k normal attks I’m pretty sure most ppl should experiment before saying x y z…
@@Ayayuda You're forgetting about ICD, and the fact that Pyro consumes Cryo gauge quicker. C6 Bennett melt rotations with Rosaria/Kaeya don't do Normals that frequently. It's good with Vape, tho, but objectively worse with Melt, especially if you have Mistsplitter that gives a ton of DMG% already.
@@denki2558 Idk if you’ve tried it or not but I’ve been 36* ing maybe the past 15-20 resets with C6 Benny, Rosaria, Thoma n pyro Sayu. Each Rosaria burst tick syncs with Sayus Normal attks, which slap huge melts each swing. 7 swings per rotation at 65-100k melt; plus Rosaria reverse melt x7. I’ve tried it w/ Xingiu and you’re looking at least 25% less dmg. Tried literally every comp you can think of with the characters n artifacts for the past 3 yrs and began theory crafting approx 2 yrs ago. Maybe if you’re NA server we can co op together and we could try different comps out so we see can the difference in dmg
Important to note too that I’m critting 100% of the time w/ Rosaria as support. Dmg reduction (if using Xingiu) isn’t needed since I’m shielded by Thoma. And his C6 is giving plus 15% normal/plunging attk buff + Bennys 15% Pyro buff. DPS c6 Benny IS better on vape, you are right, but it’s not worth using him like that when he unlocks crazy pyro dps potential for at least 50% of characters

At 9:15 what he said was correct, but the base attack is just the number of the left, number on the right comes from artifacts. Benny's raw base attack is 191 at lvl 90, 169 at lvl 80 so don't level 90 him unless you want him to be the burgeon trigger. While it's not necessarily a bad thing to lvl 90 benny, it's better off that you use the resources towards other things first like crowning his burst, and working on other characters' build before leveling benny to 90
For now I will purposefully not c6 him because I still want to play physical Zhongli with him, but the day I got him at c6 my Yanfei will be very happy for sure

Hoyo just waits for the majority of the players to trigger his C6 and then they would release the most powerful waifu carry that could've work with pre-C6 Bennett but not a C6 Benentt so you'd have to roll for their mediocre signature support unit that is only usable at C6 That's a pro dev-tactic

Bennett is the only 4 star I really wanted off of Lyney's banner for his team, One 50/50 loss and low pity Lyney later he is still not home! Luckily he's acquirable from the event, I just hope I get his C1 before this banner ends :'D 4 stars are such a headache lol

It's actually kind of funny. If you have c6 Kazuha, the way his c6 works is that his normal, charged and plunging attacks have 0.2% damage bonus per point of EM he has. That is such a large buff that an EM goblet isn't much worse than an anemo goblet. It's 37.4% damage bonus vs 46.6% damage bonus. Give kazuha a crit circlet and an EM sands and with C2, he still has a buttload of EM. Basically still does tons of swirl damage. Paired with bennett's attack buff and kazuha swirling pyro for more pyro damage bonus, his normal attacks end up doing more damage as pyro than anemo. Lynette c6 doesn't have a buff like that, makes sense, she's just a 4 star. So yes, main DPS c6 lynette is worse with c6 bennett. But weirdly, main DPS c6 kazuha becomes stronger with c6 bennett, he's just not an anemo DPS. Ultimately, if you wanted an anemo DPS, then yes c6 bennett ruins it but not in damage.

I run triple crown full crimson Sayu with C6 Benny, C6 Thoma and Rosaria- and little anemo baby is melting 65-100k normal attks per swing. Any claymore/Sword wielding character becomes a monster pyro DPS as long as there’s cryo supports helping infuse for a melt.

Just to be clear, Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling were considered mediocre for the first couple weeks of the game because they are completely burst reliant, and nobody has builds yet that could reliably maintain a burst. Without 5-star artifacts, such builds are simply impossible, and we quickly recognized our mistake once we had time to farm decent sets.
I have started playing Genshin since May and was lucky enough to get Bennett and Kazuha and from the moment I got them I've never switched them out cause they make is game soooo easy
I mean the issues C6ing him isn't that we loose a lot right now.. but we might with future releases. Fontaine and Snezhnaya could potentially add more infusion based units. And if they ever decide to buff physical Bennett will be pretty much useless for them.. and i could see them buffing physical at least in Snezhnaya by changing the shatter mechanic.. But they should've long added a way to (de)activate constellations at will just for people who like challenges.
too bad the C6 discussion was yet again ended with an incorrect blanket statement at 18:30 "every other single character in the game [after listing Ayaka, Keqing, Eula] is either not affected or is buffed by Bennet's constellation 6"
I have Bennett at C5. I am not planning to C6 him, since he can mess up cryo and dendro related reactions. If needed to, I can use Xiangling to infuse pyro.
I never used Benny, made it to 12-1 in Abyss and started to build hin lately but not really focused on him. But the game decided to give me Lyney so i should slowly start to accept that he will be usefull for me and overcome my dislike of him 😅🙈
Isn't the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (the new pipe sword) a good weapon option for Bennett as well? or is Sapwood Blade still better even in a reverse melt team? (planing on using him in my team with Ganyu/Xiangling/Layla)

@@Xangrius You can already put all your artifact substats towards ER so you really shouldnt have to worry too much. The passive also only helps bennet himself and not the team so its pretty irrelevant.
@@Xangrius imo it's close enough that it comes down to personal preference, but in general Sapwood better cos he ascends with Energy Recharge so already he's going to be fine with Sapwood + ER sands even with virtually no ER substats. Fleuve Cendre still a good addition to his arsenal of weapons and could help facilitate alternate builds like HP sands for beefier heals or something. Or just if Sapwood is taken and you want a high-ish base atk ER weapon. Fleuve Cendre also has the nice benefit of not costing a billet, which is excellent for players who need to use their billets on other characters' weapons
Im here being a physical razor main and never see myself c6ing him. In my opinion it only matters on account. Do you use him or see yourself using him with units that dont want c6 benny then dont. But if you do use units that either don't care about the con or benefit from it then go ahead and get it.

i refuse to c6 my bennett because the thought of my keqing doing pyro normal attacks makes me want to shrivel up and die. i don't even play them together
So long as you don't use a physical main dps in the same team as him, C6 is okay. Since I like using my Eula for one side of the abyss, while Ganyu carries the other side through, I sometimes put Benny there, so I kept him on C5 even if I have the last constellation, I just didn't activate it yet. For well over a year. Also, wtf do you mean Razor's best team is Burgeon? Superconduct + Physical is the only way to go with him properly... Why'd you use Burgeon at all? That reaction is worse than crystalize... It requires you to dump dendro in between the vape elements... If you can run burgeon, you could run bloom (if you have Nilou) or Vape instead, which are both better. Also, as Razor is an electro unit, how the hell would he fit into a Burgeon team? You'd need dendro, hyrdo, andpyro for that. not electro... As an AR60 player who cleared just about everything this game has to offer (1017 out of 1037 achievements) the only place where building him for full HP interms of artifacts is not optimal is the abyss. To be more precise, floor 11-12. Where his damage output might be relevant as well, depending on your team. Anywhere else, giving him a full set of maidens beloved with HP/healing bonus stats is more than enough. His healing will be so overpowered, your team will be unkillable. And this'd be his full healer build. Worked perfectly fine for me for everything. Other artifact sets that buff your team can be another great option for him though, as mentioned in the video. I think he meant Razor's "Thundering Furry" team. On this team, a Razor with full EM TF set is combined with an off-field Dendro, a Bennett C6, and an off-field Hydro. Because Razor's normal attack stays normal when on Burst mode, when infused with Bennett's, he can apply Pyro, Electro, and Hydro with a single swing. Combine that with Dendro, and you'll get a big huge mess of reactions happening all at once that are capable of bypassing ICD. Burgeon is just one of them.
i know he talked about C6 and if it affects individual characters, but I just found it funny he created a video titled Should you C6? but doesn't wanna talk more about "more complex set-ups", he relegates it to just "enables some comps and disable some comps" when talking about C6 in the end. I mean. where else would you talk about the effects of doing C6 Benny on "certain complex compositions" if not on this vid
So ironically I don't value Bennett as high as others and I think I know why. Despite a ton of teams that benefit from him I use teams that don't...lol. Hyperbloom, Hu Tao teams, Ayaka teams. My top onfield dps is Raiden(more so for hyperbloom lately than national), Al Hathiam, Hu Tao, Ayaka. I use Yelan, Nahida, and Kazuha(mainly for Ayaka, some Raiden teams, sometimes Hu Tao, etc. Zonghli and Kokomi are my main defense units. I like Kokomi for healing more.
I have a question, its rather specific though. You talked about atk % rolls on artefacts losing value because of Bennet‘s burst atk buff. Is the same true for combining multiple atk buffs in a team? I‘m thinking about Raiden hyper with Sara + Bennet for example. Instead of using 2 heavy atk buffers (and some people even have access to Raiden‘s signature weapon that also gives a lot atk), is it better to switch Sara or Bennet for a universal dmg buffer like Yelan or Mona? (4th slot would probably be a VV user I guess).

Snapshot should also be retroactively removed as well. Why old 4 stars can take advantage of snapshot with their quite high numbers, but new 4 stars have similar if not lower numbers but cant ever snapshot?
Xiangling for example without snapshot would be still good, not no longer top tier off-fielder only due to privilege of snapshot that other 4 stars can no longer have.

Problem is that exact opposite of how it works. Early stronger 4 stars are snapshotting, newer weaker ones can't. Making already wide power gap even wider.

@marcelusjarabe4057 the description in the constellation is very confusing, but it does give the 15% Pyro buff to all type of weapons. You use the burst without artifacts on your main and see the 15% extra on the stat page if it helps. Benny C6 is so good.

He's also one of the only characters who visually suits the new pipe sword you get from fishing in Fontaine. It may not be his best in slot, but he looks really appropriate holding it and it does have ER. It's possibly why we're getting the free Bennet.
Agreed, he sort’ve has a junkyard/steampunk aesthetic and the pipe weapon suits him.
But as far as color palette goes, I think it actually suits Xingqiu better.
I remember when back in the early days of Genshin Ningguang was considered S-tier because she could easily put up Crystallize shields with her normal attacks. Chongyun was S, Klee was S tier and Bennett was F until they found out about his heal burst

Bennett is who you use either with Pyro characters or mid tier dps like Yoimiya and Ganyu who'd really like the damage boost he provides. That's why he isn't all that needed in Ayaka, Alhaitham and Hu Tao teams.

nope, they shoudl just fix finalyl only his stupid C6 and add the missing line of coding, that converts over the DMG Bonus of your character you play the very moment you enter the Burst Circle of a C6 Bennet to Pyro DMG Bonus too, like smart non lazy devs not on crack for 3 years would do and fix that .... cause that simple quick change would instantly fix all the issues with the Sword, Polearm and Claymore characters that have no Element Override Protection like Raiden, like Chongyun, Razor or Eula immediately, because then you wouldnt need to fear anymore, that you hit with your character like a wet noodle suddenly the moment you stand in Bennets Burts, because you lost like your 46-90% Elementak DMG Boost, because the dumb game converted your DMG TYPE to Pyro, without converting over your DMG BONUS you have to Pyro too!!
Fixing this single code lien in his C6 is alot faster, much more cost efficient and required much lesser effort to fix, than to basically rework the whole hard coded Constellation System just for a single Character whole C6 ruins synergies, because the devs responsivle for coding his C6 was on crack andobviously not on his/her clear mind, otherwise woudl have been such a beginner game design flaw been realized.. that you dont make DMG Type Conversions, without DMG Bonus Conversions also too...

I C6 Bennett and I dont regret it because it unlocked one of my favorite teams, C6 Hydro Bennett Pyro Candace. Super cracked super wacky and fun.

Fellow Eula main here! I still have him at C5, but I am pretty much gonna C6 him anyways, since I rarely use him with Eula anyways; only for screenshot moments. Conventionally, I either use her with her standard Raiden/(Rosaria/Shenhe)/Zhongli team, or hyperbloom with Yelan/Nahida/Kuki if I need to break shields. I don't think I have any other team that the C6 would be a detriment aside maybe Chongyun Melt... but I literally never use him... or at least I can't since I don't have him built yet, lol. Once I get Mika to C6 (C4 atm) this will be even less of an issue!

A great segment would to talk about new teams that he makes with his c6.
For example, burgeoning Bennett is imo much stronger than Thoma because you don't need as much ER and aren't reliant on the burst, so you can fit in more EM.
Pyro dps kazuha is also really fun
Double Pyro Double hydro (Bennett xiangling xingqiu yelan) gets more vaporizes with his c6
These are just a few I can name but there might be more soup or sukokomon teams with Bennett c6 that I don't know about yet
I'd argue that Bennett's C6 isn't the problem so much that Hoyo seems like they refuse to create more characters with similar functionality or versatility (and you could say this for the rest of the "Power 5"). Candace, for example, isn't a bad character all told, but there are just enough gaps in her kit that prevent her from being a top pick in most teams.
You'll get the odd outlier like Yaoyao and Collei, but if you're trying to be frugal with your Primos (and/or bank account) and also want to keep the blood pressure down (i.e. artifact farming), there's little incentive to go beyond the "Power 5" and just calling it a day.

i got C6 bennett a long time ago and many people have been telling me that i made a big mistake when i activated his C6. but i dont play physical, i don't like playing ayaka, so im enjoying C6 bennett. i don't see any problem with him. the only regret i have is that yelan doesn't really benefit from bennett cause she doesn't need attack (im a huge yelan simp and it would be fun to get more buffs for her in main dps role lol)

I got Bennett his C6 because most of the teams i run him on benefit from it. Dendro made the decision even easier because it opened up so many viable Bennett-less team comps.
A lot of dps lately that have melee weapons have infusions that can't be overriden so c6 Bennett won't interfer with them, I hope this trend continues and I think it will. Plus with all the niche buffers we have other options plus more could be released, though Bennett can also heal on top of buffing, but you can use a Zhongli or other healer it is not the end of the world. Also with dendro's release, there are a lot of great teams that don't need him along with existing teams that don't want him. I don't have use physical dps but even if we get a physical in the future that I like, Mika plus c6 Rosaria are good for physical damage dealers. For a long time now the only team I used Bennet on is International and now Lyney mono pyro, which can only benefit from his C6. But for newer players or those with a limited roster activating his c6 could be bad, but it really depends on your account.
Infusions work on which is the more dominant element. For example pyro beats cryo, that's why bennett c6 overwrites ayaka and chongyun's infusion. And hydro beats pyro, that's why candace doesn't get overridden by bennett c6. If we get more DPSs with cryo or other infusions like anemo or possibly electro that can be overridden by c6 Bennett then it could be bad.
@@EugeneDorkdinkletonBonquavo That is not what I am refering to. I am talking about dps with infusions in their kit which evr since Inazuma we have gotten a lot but some did exist before. Bennett can't override characters like Raiden or Itto (or others similar to them) where they have an infusion window after using burst to deal damage, or a character like Ayato or Alhaitham (among others) where their skill gives them infusion that can't be overriden. We have quite a few now. He can override Ayaka but I only use her in freeze anyway.

Their weapon becomes infused with an element so every hit deals elemental damage pretty much every dps since Inazuma has a state of infusion that can't be overriden or is bow/catalyst and doesn't count. Technically the wording in the kits says "converted to" but it is still an infusion because their weapon changes from physical to elemental and their kits state that it can't be overriden. Eula was the last dps released that Bennett ruins everyone since then is fine, I don't include Ayaka as ruin because she at least has other options outside of Bennett.
I used to not like Bennett, but finally decided to build him for my Wanderer and no regret so far.

I find it mind-blowing that Bennett is so ever present in people's minds and teams that Hoyo has to go out of their way to design all characters going forward with his existence in mind, yet they still haven't updated the wording on his C6.

On Abyss 3.7, I observed that lots of players that has their Benny on DPS set griping that they always got killed by those damn Beasts. The ones that have Benny on Healing Bonus circlet survived instead. So, when you're facing those beasts, it might be worth considering switching your build. Just my two cents.
Razor was my first main, and the free Bennett will finally get me C6. I'm excited to get to use Razor's new build!
As a bennett main, I C6'd him and have no regrets. The only team I lost was Chongyun melt Bennet, but I gained so many team comps from C6ing Bennett: reverse melt Kaeya, improved burgeon Bennett, the "we have hu tao at home" Xiangling, thundering furry, and so many more.
An exception to the not using Kokomi and Bennett together: Beidou/Kokomi tazer team w/ Kokomi as the on-field. Though in that set up, for the duration of her burst, Kokomi forsakes the role of healer. 😂
C6 Bennett ruins his synergy with C6 Lynette, as his pyro infusion overrides her anemo infusion.
Therefore you should not only carefully consider how it affects the current roster, but also how it could affect ANY random future unit that you might be interested in.
Is it worth potentially ruining those future interactions irrevocably for a few measly points of extra damage when you're already clearing Abyss fine without it?
Honestly I didn't like Bennett at first but because I love Lyney so much I now really appreciate him :)
I won't C6 mine,but purely because I wish to do very.... off meta builds, and Bennett offers a way to power those builds up/bring them up to the bare minimum power level, and Pyro infusion may mess that up.

However, I want to comment that Yoimiya's best team does not include Benett. It is Yelan, Xingqiu, Zhongli. She wants to vape her 5th arrow, so you don't want to get interrupted. As seen in the video, you needed to dodge or you get thrown by enemies. That's not good.
The other team is Yelan, Yunjin, Zhongli. C6 Yunjin buffs slightly more than c6 benett. Tho, you can use benett if you dont have c6 yunjin.
The part where you explain about the synergy with Bennet and Kazuha is so true. I play Ganyu melt w/ Zhongli and those 2, most of the times in situations where there are many enemies whether in overworld or Spiral Abyss, this duo will usually finish off the initial wave of enemies before I even get to switch to my Ganyu to shoot em

I C6 Bennett to force myself to not use him on every team, there are some characters that just make you depend on them too much and rust your skill... on a game that is already easy to a fault (looking at you Zhongli)
I just c6'd him and have never had an issue. He's not the only character and I mostly use him in teams with like Navia or whatever and he doesn't override her, but even if he did it wouldn't matter much
Childe international is another meta team who's Benny-dependent. He's also one of Xiao's best supports as he loves atk buffs and his healing. He can also be the flex slot for Itto mono geo because while he scales off def, it's exactly like Hu Tao's situation and Benny buff still works. Another interesting teammate is an EM Jean because their bursts together can cause sunfire, which is niche but a fun mechanic.
I've had his C6 inactivated for almost two years and I've learned to live with the red dot. I've been scared of new characters not being compatible. But now that I got Lyney and I'm enjoying him more than I expected, and Wrio's not going to be phys in the end, I might as well take the plunge and activate that shit
Childe is a bow user and c6 would make Xiangling even betterin International. Geo is garbage who cares, Xiao idk that constant plunging playstyle ain't for me. btw even tho i think geo is garbage im still going for Navia

I got C6 Bennett after almost 3 years and i unlocked it immediately . His C6 + Xiangling C6 makes Xiangling pyronado deals so much damage and buff a lot of pyrdo units. If i had a second to choose, i would still unlock the C6. You wouldn’t want to run Ben with Eula either as he will already ruin superconduct reaction as a pyro unit.
I did not get him until I pull for Yelan. Now I have him c7 already and c8 with event. But I am already completing abyss 36 without him. So he will chill as 20 levels for long time for me. I don't need him anymore!
For Hu Tao teams at C6 Bennett it's not that bad and the buffs from Bennett vs low HP Hu Tao are pretty close.
I think the only teams it's pretty off to use are the Eula teams or any other Physical carry like Razor (which ironically it's now used as Burgeon with Bennett C6), Physical Xinyan and Physical Keqing which are not used that much really on those builds and may use Mika or other common Cryo/Electro supports.

Something that all content creators stopped mentioning about his C6 is that it removes the ability to play his best build, a melt carry. Just build him full DPS with Crimson Witch and Chongyun for max damage. And 15% pyro buff is really low damage increase in whole damage calculation. Especially when everyone runs Kazuha anyways who gives over 40% elemental bonus.
And last thing, we can never know if new character is coming that really doesn't want pyro infusion.
You bumped your head. He’s a far better melt dps at C6 when paired with Rosaria or Ganyu. Both apply cryo 1.5-2 seconds which gives him a guaranteed melt every 2 or 3 attks. If you’re talking vape w/ Xingiu, it means more vapes than C5. Idk where you’re coming up with the idea about Chongyun since Bennys E has a cooldown; whereas his C6 normal attks don’t. Even with Alhaithems sig Bennys C6 dmg is greater than the C5-. What I like about his C6, and something content creators stopped talking about (I doubt that they even have) is the power his C6 gives to any sword/claymore wielding character. I’ve ran Crimson witch Sayu with Thoma n Rosaria and she’s slapped 90k normal attks (melt) per swing. You can run the same build with Keqing, Etc and they will be doing WAY more dmg than what their elemental kit provides- as long as they have cryo supports infusing for the melt. If Sayu is slapping 65-100k normal attks I’m pretty sure most ppl should experiment before saying x y z…
@@Ayayuda You're forgetting about ICD, and the fact that Pyro consumes Cryo gauge quicker. C6 Bennett melt rotations with Rosaria/Kaeya don't do Normals that frequently. It's good with Vape, tho, but objectively worse with Melt, especially if you have Mistsplitter that gives a ton of DMG% already.
@@denki2558 Idk if you’ve tried it or not but I’ve been 36* ing maybe the past 15-20 resets with C6 Benny, Rosaria, Thoma n pyro Sayu. Each Rosaria burst tick syncs with Sayus Normal attks, which slap huge melts each swing. 7 swings per rotation at 65-100k melt; plus Rosaria reverse melt x7. I’ve tried it w/ Xingiu and you’re looking at least 25% less dmg. Tried literally every comp you can think of with the characters n artifacts for the past 3 yrs and began theory crafting approx 2 yrs ago. Maybe if you’re NA server we can co op together and we could try different comps out so we see can the difference in dmg
Important to note too that I’m critting 100% of the time w/ Rosaria as support. Dmg reduction (if using Xingiu) isn’t needed since I’m shielded by Thoma. And his C6 is giving plus 15% normal/plunging attk buff + Bennys 15% Pyro buff. DPS c6 Benny IS better on vape, you are right, but it’s not worth using him like that when he unlocks crazy pyro dps potential for at least 50% of characters

At 9:15 what he said was correct, but the base attack is just the number of the left, number on the right comes from artifacts. Benny's raw base attack is 191 at lvl 90, 169 at lvl 80 so don't level 90 him unless you want him to be the burgeon trigger. While it's not necessarily a bad thing to lvl 90 benny, it's better off that you use the resources towards other things first like crowning his burst, and working on other characters' build before leveling benny to 90
For now I will purposefully not c6 him because I still want to play physical Zhongli with him, but the day I got him at c6 my Yanfei will be very happy for sure

I have C6 Benny+ Jean for my sunfire-national Team. Fire Jean and xiangling benefit a Lot from c6
I was able to C6 him with the event. He is now the Pyro archon.

Hoyo just waits for the majority of the players to trigger his C6 and then they would release the most powerful waifu carry that could've work with pre-C6 Bennett but not a C6 Benentt so you'd have to roll for their mediocre signature support unit that is only usable at C6

Bennett is the only 4 star I really wanted off of Lyney's banner for his team, One 50/50 loss and low pity Lyney later he is still not home! Luckily he's acquirable from the event, I just hope I get his C1 before this banner ends :'D 4 stars are such a headache lol
if you want to do niche teams like a c6 lynette main dps or c6 kazuha etc., that aren't really meta, then c6 bennett can still ruin those

It's actually kind of funny. If you have c6 Kazuha, the way his c6 works is that his normal, charged and plunging attacks have 0.2% damage bonus per point of EM he has. That is such a large buff that an EM goblet isn't much worse than an anemo goblet. It's 37.4% damage bonus vs 46.6% damage bonus. Give kazuha a crit circlet and an EM sands and with C2, he still has a buttload of EM. Basically still does tons of swirl damage. Paired with bennett's attack buff and kazuha swirling pyro for more pyro damage bonus, his normal attacks end up doing more damage as pyro than anemo.
Lynette c6 doesn't have a buff like that, makes sense, she's just a 4 star. So yes, main DPS c6 lynette is worse with c6 bennett. But weirdly, main DPS c6 kazuha becomes stronger with c6 bennett, he's just not an anemo DPS. Ultimately, if you wanted an anemo DPS, then yes c6 bennett ruins it but not in damage.

I run triple crown full crimson Sayu with C6 Benny, C6 Thoma and Rosaria- and little anemo baby is melting 65-100k normal attks per swing. Any claymore/Sword wielding character becomes a monster pyro DPS as long as there’s cryo supports helping infuse for a melt.
That C6 is not worth losing synergy with a potential future favourite unit of yours

It's obvious that pyro infused normals can interfere with certain teams. It already does. Thundering Furry is built around the additional reactions it causes. Bennett's C6 will give an invested Xiangling like a 2% increase in personal damage. It's cope not to trade the universal flexibility of the best attack buffer and healer in the game for a 2% personal damage increase on Xiangling? Just how badly do you struggle in Floor 12 for that dogshit difference to matter so much to you? That's wild.

International Childe mains really enjoy c6 bennett, my xiangling hit like a truck 60-80k :P
Just to be clear, Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling were considered mediocre for the first couple weeks of the game because they are completely burst reliant, and nobody has builds yet that could reliably maintain a burst. Without 5-star artifacts, such builds are simply impossible, and we quickly recognized our mistake once we had time to farm decent sets.
I have started playing Genshin since May and was lucky enough to get Bennett and Kazuha and from the moment I got them I've never switched them out cause they make is game soooo easy
I mean the issues C6ing him isn't that we loose a lot right now.. but we might with future releases.
Fontaine and Snezhnaya could potentially add more infusion based units.
And if they ever decide to buff physical Bennett will be pretty much useless for them.. and i could see them buffing physical at least in Snezhnaya by changing the shatter mechanic..
But they should've long added a way to (de)activate constellations at will just for people who like challenges.
too bad the C6 discussion was yet again ended with an incorrect blanket statement at 18:30 "every other single character in the game [after listing Ayaka, Keqing, Eula] is either not affected or is buffed by Bennet's constellation 6"

When your DPS is Hu,Dilic or like any Pyro DPS that can get Pyro-Infusion with his C6,you should use him C6. He even buffs Dehya so She can deal DMG
I have Bennett at C5. I am not planning to C6 him, since he can mess up cryo and dendro related reactions. If needed to, I can use Xiangling to infuse pyro.
I never used Benny, made it to 12-1 in Abyss and started to build hin lately but not really focused on him. But the game decided to give me Lyney so i should slowly start to accept that he will be usefull for me and overcome my dislike of him 😅🙈
Isn't the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman (the new pipe sword) a good weapon option for Bennett as well? or is Sapwood Blade still better even in a reverse melt team? (planing on using him in my team with Ganyu/Xiangling/Layla)
Bennett’s attack buff is based on his base attack + weapon attack. So Sapwood will lead to higher attack buffing due to having a higher attack stat

@@Xangrius You can already put all your artifact substats towards ER so you really shouldnt have to worry too much. The passive also only helps bennet himself and not the team so its pretty irrelevant.
@@Xangrius imo it's close enough that it comes down to personal preference, but in general Sapwood better cos he ascends with Energy Recharge so already he's going to be fine with Sapwood + ER sands even with virtually no ER substats. Fleuve Cendre still a good addition to his arsenal of weapons and could help facilitate alternate builds like HP sands for beefier heals or something. Or just if Sapwood is taken and you want a high-ish base atk ER weapon.
Fleuve Cendre also has the nice benefit of not costing a billet, which is excellent for players who need to use their billets on other characters' weapons

Im here being a physical razor main and never see myself c6ing him. In my opinion it only matters on account. Do you use him or see yourself using him with units that dont want c6 benny then dont. But if you do use units that either don't care about the con or benefit from it then go ahead and get it.

So long as you don't use a physical main dps in the same team as him, C6 is okay. Since I like using my Eula for one side of the abyss, while Ganyu carries the other side through, I sometimes put Benny there, so I kept him on C5 even if I have the last constellation, I just didn't activate it yet. For well over a year.
Also, wtf do you mean Razor's best team is Burgeon? Superconduct + Physical is the only way to go with him properly... Why'd you use Burgeon at all? That reaction is worse than crystalize... It requires you to dump dendro in between the vape elements... If you can run burgeon, you could run bloom (if you have Nilou) or Vape instead, which are both better. Also, as Razor is an electro unit, how the hell would he fit into a Burgeon team? You'd need dendro, hyrdo, andpyro for that. not electro...
As an AR60 player who cleared just about everything this game has to offer (1017 out of 1037 achievements) the only place where building him for full HP interms of artifacts is not optimal is the abyss. To be more precise, floor 11-12. Where his damage output might be relevant as well, depending on your team. Anywhere else, giving him a full set of maidens beloved with HP/healing bonus stats is more than enough. His healing will be so overpowered, your team will be unkillable. And this'd be his full healer build. Worked perfectly fine for me for everything. Other artifact sets that buff your team can be another great option for him though, as mentioned in the video. So you can use him as a buffer even more.
I think he meant Razor's "Thundering Furry" team.
On this team, a Razor with full EM TF set is combined with an off-field Dendro, a Bennett C6, and an off-field Hydro. Because Razor's normal attack stays normal when on Burst mode, when infused with Bennett's, he can apply Pyro, Electro, and Hydro with a single swing. Combine that with Dendro, and you'll get a big huge mess of reactions happening all at once that are capable of bypassing ICD. Burgeon is just one of them.
i know he talked about C6 and if it affects individual characters, but I just found it funny he created a video titled Should you C6? but doesn't wanna talk more about "more complex set-ups", he relegates it to just "enables some comps and disable some comps" when talking about C6 in the end. I mean. where else would you talk about the effects of doing C6 Benny on "certain complex compositions" if not on this vid
So ironically I don't value Bennett as high as others and I think I know why. Despite a ton of teams that benefit from him I use teams that don't...lol. Hyperbloom, Hu Tao teams, Ayaka teams. My top onfield dps is Raiden(more so for hyperbloom lately than national), Al Hathiam, Hu Tao, Ayaka. I use Yelan, Nahida, and Kazuha(mainly for Ayaka, some Raiden teams, sometimes Hu Tao, etc. Zonghli and Kokomi are my main defense units. I like Kokomi for healing more.
I have a question, its rather specific though. You talked about atk % rolls on artefacts losing value because of Bennet‘s burst atk buff. Is the same true for combining multiple atk buffs in a team? I‘m thinking about Raiden hyper with Sara + Bennet for example. Instead of using 2 heavy atk buffers (and some people even have access to Raiden‘s signature weapon that also gives a lot atk), is it better to switch Sara or Bennet for a universal dmg buffer like Yelan or Mona? (4th slot would probably be a VV user I guess).
There's only a controversy over his C6 if you're still in patch 1.X-2.X thinking.
