What a great road trip. It will be see what the reduction in interior size really does for the day-to-day stuff in the trailer.

Love your videos, and can't wait to get back on the road. I am about to go pick up an early '60s 10ft Alaskan camper near Kindersley Sask in a farmer's field, for free, yea!! But I am driving a 1980 F150 to get it with. Question, will my F150 be heavy enough to get it back home with, a 200k trip. It will require a complete rebuild before I can start using it, should I just plan on making it an 8fter at that time, or get a heavier truck? Or would beefing up the suspension be enough? Thanks for any advise you might have. Cheers

Love ur improvised emergency break! (been there, done that lol) Your creeativity has never ceased to amaze me. That road trip was breathtaking. So, at first I was confused when ur truck suddenly had an 8' camper cap on it....the sound of your voice kind of faded off while I was looking at the camper and thinking "wait a minute...that's too small to be the one I fell in love with ..the windows don't look the same "....my ears ignored u as I kept looking at how the camper fit on truck bed so perfectly....and 'sometthing just wasn't adding up"...I hit rewind and heard u say U JUST PICKED THIS 8 FOOTER UP AND NOW HAVE FREAKING 2!!!
It just blows my mind each time u "stumble onto" a new treasure....AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING TO U OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER .....Happy for u sir!! Cheers
    🍻 (You lucky SOB)

Nothing quite like driving the Crows Nest Pass. Great tip on Longview Jerky Shop, I'll be sure to check it out next time I'm out that way.
But, you missed a few of other great spots. Next time you drive that highway, be sure to stop by the Cinnamon Bear Bakery & Cafe - absolutely the world's best Sticky Buns - located in Coleman, AB! Would make a great a complement to your healthy eating mix of beer, jerky and katchup chips!
Another great butcher shop in the area is Back Country Butchers in Cowley, AB - quality meats and jerky for sure, and they'll process all your wild game if needed. And finally, if you've never dropped by the Hutterite Leatherworks, its the best place to buy quality gloves of all types at reasonable prices! Located near Pincher Creek, AB.
And finally, if you're ever in the Pincher Creek area, the first week of January, be sure to take in the Willow Valley Trophy Clubs's annual Trophy Day - Canada's biggest "Bone's Event"! I got invited years ago by a hunting friend of mine in Pincher Creek, and attended for many years - it's truly an amazing event, and a testimony to what a bunch of farmer/Ranchers can put together for over 60 years I believe. You can check the club out at www.willowvalleytrophyclub.com
You are a blessed man - two vintage Alaskan Campers, wow! Loved the video, keep the great content coming.
Watching from my dream retirement cabin on the shores of Lake of the Woods, just north of Rainy River, ON! Grouse Season opens on Sept 15th, can't wait!! Will be breaking out my Filson Tincloth wear and my 20 guage vintage Citori!

Thanks for the awesome comment and info. We stuck to the Cowboy Trail and didn't have time to backtrack a bit to Cowley but definitely will check it out next time. I'm down through there quite often. Coleman is pretty quiet, most of the shops and stores are closed up it seems. Good luck on the hunt and keep us posted on getting those chickens 👍👍🍻🍻

I've got a 97. Done a few mods and managed to get my average in town and/or towing mileage up from 6.5-7.5 to 8-9 Miles per gallon. Best interstate mileage was 12.5 unloaded from Butte, MT to Thompson Falls, MT. Great trucks but not for commuting. Simple, durable and reliable.

The Frank slide is just crazy to imagine. Over 100 million tones of limestone came down that mountain in 90 seconds. That place gives me serious bad vibes too because of all the dead under the rubble. Graveyards or other supposed haunted places don’t bother me but that place does. Last time I was there I think I last maybe 30 minutes before I needed to leave.

Hey Jimmie, another cool video of your adventures! Just too funny...Doritos are your vegetables! LOL! Getting 12 mpg with that beast isn't too bad...especially for what you got...lots more room to enjoy your camping trips. Air Quality here in CA sucks...the wildfires have been the worst...thinking of heading to Colorado just to breathe some fresh air and check out the fall colors! Love seeing these old trucks! In a little bit I’m gonna attempt to bring my 95 f350 with a 460 all the way from PA to WY. She’s my old welding rig, loaded up with a classic 2 bottles and all. Probably about 3k pound. I seem to get about 12mpg loaded or un-loaded. Is the f250 better or worse than the 1 ton you think?
