    I've got to appreciate you guys for actual old school journalism and television quality filming
    It's a tough era nowadays for automotive journalism and up and coming channels breaking the internet with press launches the minute the press embargo lifts but good job on this one came out the day everyone else did! Huge respect to the team and john davis you guys were the pioneers of the genre and I grew up watching!

      I prefer Motorweek's no-nonsense style over all other channels; especially when John Davis is the one lending his voice. When Brian Cooley from CNET was still reviewing cars, he was very good at it too.

    This car is simply perfect. Good design, performance, handling, luxury features

    • @salimrandall
      @salimrandall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      5.8 0-60 isn’t exactly perfect.

    • @ryanj116
      @ryanj116 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@salimrandall 0-60 is an overrated metric- no one in the market for a macan really cares about that. what is a “perfect” 0-60 anyways?

    • @salimrandall
      @salimrandall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ryanj116 0-60 is important when you’re buying an allegedly “sporty vehicle”. Especially at this price point. The vehicle is all bark and no bite. I had a 2017 Macan S for three years. Still slow and boring with 340HP and 5 second 0-60. Traded for a Lexus RC-F and bought a real SUV for my family. People who say this car is perfect never owned one.

    • @salimrandall
      @salimrandall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ryanj116 I agree it’s overrated, but it’s still a measure of performance. Slow 0-60 translates to slow 30-70 where you use the engine in real life. At this price point, it’s performance is unacceptable in my opinion. I’d rather pony up extra for the Macan S if I had to have one. Much more performance for the money.

      You bought an RC-F, I don’t think you have a say in anything performance related

    I couldn't finish this video because of the lack of enthusiasm I would have paying tens of thousands for a Porsche and getting a 4 banger. No thank you.

      You’re absolutely right. A 4 cylinder CUV... pathetic! And I bet it is $90,000

    I'll wait for the Macan A.
    "A" for affordable. Love this car, but my bank account does not.

    Genesis GV70 probably has more value, but a Macan drives extremely well for an SUV. Basically a sports sedan up a few inches higher.

    • @davidmanzi4491
      @davidmanzi4491 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I looked at the GV70. The controls are a fatal flaw. Just horrific.

      All the Koreans know how to do is steal disparate design elements from other companies. The only way I'd buy a Korean car is if I lived in Korea.

    Base is better. Anyone who gets an S is easily
    persuaded by horsepower, that you won’t notice until topping 110 kms higher

    Honestly thought this was a retro review, only thing these Porsches get better at is taking your money, it's not really any different looking than any other Volkswagen SUV with a different front clip..

    Just add air suspension and ceramic coated brakes, and it is the gts with 2.0 engine.

    The car is 2023 but the video looks early 2000s. Even the dude behind the wheel looks early 2000s.

    It should be called the Volkswagen GTI SUV. What part of this car is made by Porsche?

    • @housydoing
      @housydoing 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      about 60% of it

    • @tallalmoshrif6643

    • @kellanhills1972
      @kellanhills1972 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually 60-70% of the entire car is unique to Porsche. Platforms are shared among lines all over the place now. A 150k Cadillac has parts from the GM bin that are on 30k chevys.

    • @salimrandall
      @salimrandall ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kellanhills1972 That 70% does not include the engine nor transmission.

      You’re right about that - but they are responsible for how the overall vehicle drives/rides. I haven’t heard of a GTI suv but if you find one as good as this lmk
