The whole appeal of the Doom Slayer is that he's a demon-killing machine on his own, I don't really get why so many people want him to get a bigger suit or something
There are some things I still don't understand: -If Davoth is the creator of all life why is he giving the Makyrs acsess to Argent Energy ? -Why did the Seraphin want to bring the Father back ? Is the Father Evil ? -Why did the Makyrs seal the Doom Slayer in after he defeated the Dark Lord. -Why does the Doomslayer look like Davoth ?
1.- He wasn't; it was some other Demon Lord who made that deal with the Maykr 2.- Because without the Father's essence, the Maykr (including Seraphim) would suffer the Transfiguration 3.- Because he knew too much about the truth and it would be a threat to them. Or maybe to awaken him when other threat to the Father rise 4.- Because the Doom Slayer's powers comes from Davoth, and because the Slayer is the most powerful thing related to Davoth, the Dark Lord took his form.
@Screaming Soldier Please someone explain this. I’m confused as hell now. Is he a clone or not? Did he take on the appearance of Slayer because he was the only one who had a physical form at that moment? Explain!
Sequel possibilities : 1) Doom Slayer may awake by some space archeologists team lead by older Dr. Elena Richardson . This time Doom Slayer will fight against spawns of other lovecraftian inspired outer gods . 2 ) Crossover Sequel - Doom Slayer will be freed by his older counterparts with actual names (example : Flynn Fly Taggart , John Kane , John Reaper Grim , Doom 3 Marine aka some stranger ) to fight against hell from dimension to dimension. 3 ) Some villain with god mode summoned Doom Slayer on another quake match.
@@edorasmarauder5761 actually he isn't technically Doom 3 Marine who was a corporal who was transferred to Mars and had no background records of assaulting a superior officer.
This is the type of fight I wanted in the base game. None of that stupid platforming, pointless enemies blocking your view, or flashing lights directly into your eyes.
Hhmmm is this a Paradox/Loop thing to DOOM 2016? I mean if it said in the Testaments “Sealed in the sarcophagus by the Dark Lords who betrayed him” The Dark Lord did say they lied to him before he died and honestly would be nice it this was the case. A never ending loop of Hell Genocide because his fight is *Eternal*
This is exactly what I was thinking. Even the ending quote from the corrax tablet thing is the same as in the loading screen for the beginning of doom 2016. But with Samuel being dead, this really can't be possible. The coincidence is there though and we might see the slayer return in a future game.
@@bryanzavala2128 yeah he isn’t dead, but yet again doom guy is from another dimension, probably you’ll fight and kill the dark lords of every dimension. Cause I remember saying that it can only be one per universe or something like that. From what I got by the lore and playing the games is that it’s just a never ending loop of Doomguy fighting an Eternal battle with Hell.
This is not a loop, the Slayer was first sealed in the sarcophagus in the Blood Keep, this time it’s a different location. The testament says the “Dark Lords who wronged him.” Not betrayed him. And wronged him they did, for sending demons to attack his Earth and killed his pet.
“For too long have I been imprisoned by my own creation, you will not stop my vengeance nor the one who betrayed me. Tell him. They lied to you slayer, immora and it’s people would’ve been perfect if not for the treachery of my servants, they sealed me away, stole my power and name, and now the time has come for a reckoning, as all things were made by my hand. So shall they be unmade starting with you” *one of the best monologues in gaming*
@@merimkastrat5846 ya that's it sorry. Story wise I think they could have left it as it was but still induced the idea of the dark lord pulling the strings behind the scenes. But the fact that he created urdak and everything else including the father is a problem. Things just don't add up now. Look doom has never been a perfect story but for once it made sense and had its own thing, now its a mess again. Davoth issue is with his people being sub standard. Well then he could of just deleted them and patched the fukers to be immortal like the maykrs
Doom Slayer isn’t dead, he’s just in slumber. If Hell starts being active again and dangerous presence arrives. Doom guy will be activated and unleashed to slaughter all things evil.
I wish this fight wasn’t as gimmicky, tbh. It makes the Slayer feel like he’s just good at exploiting weaknesses, when the slayer I want to play, feels like an unstoppable force. I would’ve liked this more if you could actually damage him throughout the entirety of the fight. I feel the same way with the Marauders.
Considering how this is his mirror copy maybe he *had* to fight him differently likely because they're both aware of each other's capabilities. You never want to go into a fight exactly the same way your opponent expects you to since that'll make you easier to predict and counteract.
This should have been a mirror match fight, a boss that moves and fights just like a real player is one of the coolest boss tropes, instead we got a bullet sponge that spams enemy's for artificial difficulty.
Bethesda didn’t make Doom. Doom was one of the first FPS games ever made, and it was revolutionary both in tech and gameplay. Bethesda is merely a parent company of the guys that make Doom games, called id Software.
Many questions 1) If davoth was the creator of all and his death meant the death of all his creations doesn't that mean everything ended with davoth? 2)Why did he say Noooooo when khan maykr was killed? 3)Is it a time loop?? Where slayer is in a coffin until the universe resets and is woken up once every eternity to slay evil making his fight eternal? If it is a loop and he does wake up every eternity then what about his flashbacks when he received powers and etc etc?
Who are the Ancient Gods? When the Doom Slayer enters the Dark Lord’s chamber in preparation for their final confrontation, various holographic Seraphs can be seen and are heard silently chanting. The subtitles indicate that the entities speaking are the “Ancient Gods.” Though that doesn’t make sense, as the Seraphs, who are Maykrs, were originally designed by the Dark Lord to essentially act as efficient machines with the goal of discovering immortality. So why do they subtitles say that the various entities speaking are the Ancient Gods, when the only God present is Davoth, the Dark Lord.
Honestly with the title ancient gods you would expect something more cosmic and ethereal in power but, here we are fighting a dude in a mech suit. It’s so underwhelming i hope in the next game they give us a hell more inspired by the biblical hell with named demons and an actual hierarchy in hell.
The answer behind all this could be simply because the pandemic and they didn't have enough work condition to design all the new models, as we can see almost all the new demons in DLC are also either rehash or reskin of those already exist in the base game. Still disappointing but understandable I guess.

I’ve figured out a good start for this boss, have the super shotgun out, whenever he flashes green shoot him regardless of wether you have the hammer or not, you can get two free super shotgun shots on him doing this every time and it does decent damage, then back up a little bit and rely on dashing to dodge shit don’t jump for anything, when the wolves come out wait until they both get close enough to form a V shape and shoot with the Super shotgun as it will kill them both in one hit, then dash to pick up the hammer energy and turn around and super shotgun the ghost of the demon, then run up and super shotgun him when he flashes green, use the hammer then dash behind him and equip the chain gun, unload your flame belch and ice bomb on him while also unloading with that one chain gun mod where it turns into a turret

This is the first time he's spoken as the slayer as far as we know. He went crazy and could only ramble about how much he hated demons. Saying "rip and tear" over and over again. After they put him in the machine and made him the slayer, he stopped speaking entirely but seemed to come to his senses. I think this proves he's sane somewhat. Just a man of very few words.
The dark lord being Doomslayer and the creator of everything makes me unreasonably irritated. What a stupid plot this was. I was super excited to see this awesome all powerfull demon and SURPRISE! It was another version of yourself. Fun
@@a-10warthog72 but Doomguy has always been DoomGUY not Doomgod. I preferred it when he was a super pissed off guy in armor that was just too determined and angry for hell to stop.
This was an awesome boss battle! A super Marauder and a ton of fun! As for the expansion as whole? I think it was better in the second half. Decent first mission with some really eye catching environments like a D&D world! Second mission just felt bland to me if I am honest. But the last two missions is where it felt like it was going all out!
While I really enjoyed the gameplay and some new mechanics, in all honesty I'm not fond of all the unnecessary twists in the lore and how they made the Dark Lord to be basically a "mastermind" behind everything just to have him killed in such a weak, controversial boss fight.
Man, this fight was Anticlimatic as fuck ... I mean really ? A stupid robot ? I was expecting something way faster, more metal, more blood, even the way doomguy finish the dark lord e Anticlimatic ...
I thought we'd get him out of the armor and then he'd fight us like how we fight, like a big robot fight that becomes a super intense mirror match. Wishful thinking I guess. This DLC was suppppper easy. Part one was so much more challenge.
I was expecting to fight most of the time Dark Lord himself, not his annoying illusions, but well... (Still a great fight but i hoped it would be more climatic)
Part 2 isn't as difficult as Part 1, though, and the Dark Lord does not beat Samur in difficulty. This was hard, yes, but at a similar level to the Icon of Sin for me, and Samur tops both.
It’s a single boss fight, and it’s not hard at all, just get a bit closer to him to make him flash green. Other than that, it’s just a matter of learning how to fight him properly, just like every other boss in the game.
@@spookytown7963 The main difficulty with him is when he "tricks" you. Sometimes you think he will flash green, but he does a normal swing instead and takes back health. And his summons in phase 3 were easily dealt with only if you had a sentinel charge, but if not, they will wreck you. Especially the tyrant in the back. But this is my experience on Nightmare difficulty.
I can't be the only one who's extremely disappointed by this, right? He's just... a marauder? With really wacky animations? I can't help but feel like 80% of the actual fight got scrapped.

Oh yeah, never mind then I guess. There's that post-credits thing as well where the intern congratulates the player themself for what they did.
It was pixelated though.

There are some things I still don't understand:
-If Davoth is the creator of all life why is he giving the Makyrs acsess to Argent Energy ?
-Why did the Seraphin want to bring the Father back ? Is the Father Evil ?
-Why did the Makyrs seal the Doom Slayer in after he defeated the Dark Lord.
-Why does the Doomslayer look like Davoth ?
1.- He wasn't; it was some other Demon Lord who made that deal with the Maykr
2.- Because without the Father's essence, the Maykr (including Seraphim) would suffer the Transfiguration
3.- Because he knew too much about the truth and it would be a threat to them. Or maybe to awaken him when other threat to the Father rise
4.- Because the Doom Slayer's powers comes from Davoth, and because the Slayer is the most powerful thing related to Davoth, the Dark Lord took his form.
@@MrAvakstone92 Dude the dark lord didn't take the slayers form lol

1) Doom Slayer may awake by some space archeologists team lead by older Dr.

@@bryanzavala2128 Samuel isn't dead.
@@bryanzavala2128 Vega teleported him away, sure his body is screwed, but we don't actually see him die.
So shall they be unmade starting with you”

Doom guy will be activated and unleashed to slaughter all things evil.
not what i expected
I wish he was more intimidating. with the bonk and the greenflash and Warhammer armor he's just kind of a funny fight
Yeah just a marauder fight
I wish this fight wasn’t as gimmicky, tbh. It makes the Slayer feel like he’s just good at exploiting weaknesses, when the slayer I want to play, feels like an unstoppable force. I would’ve liked this more if you could actually damage him throughout the entirety of the fight. I feel the same way with the Marauders.
Considering how this is his mirror copy maybe he *had* to fight him differently likely because they're both aware of each other's capabilities. You never want to go into a fight exactly the same way your opponent expects you to since that'll make you easier to predict and counteract.
@@Tim7318-3 true
This should have been a mirror match fight, a boss that moves and fights just like a real player is one of the coolest boss tropes, instead we got a bullet sponge that spams enemy's for artificial difficulty.

@@spookytown7963 i know, but doom eternal was
Many questions
1) If davoth was the creator of all and his death meant the death of all his creations doesn't that mean everything ended with davoth?
2)Why did he say Noooooo when khan maykr was killed?
3)Is it a time loop?? Where slayer is in a coffin until the universe resets and is woken up once every eternity to slay evil making his fight eternal? If it is a loop and he does wake up every eternity then what about his flashbacks when he received powers and etc etc?
Maybe it's a Wheel of TIme kinda loop where everything resets but with major changes

He did in the flashbacks on sentinel prime.

Dark Lord as Khorne Berzerker
Doom was an enjoyable game until ancient gods 2 came along. No reason for a boss to be this difficult.
