if i may injuect my input on the situation, its true it stayed dormant and did not come to the wii u but what i heard is that the console sold at a loss. nobody knows what it is wether its a add on or not, the game pad costed more than the actual console itself and main titles like pikmin 3 paid dearly for due to the console's failure (shout out to pikmin 4's belated award btw) so imagine if battalian wars 3 landed on the wii u at the end of its third year...

Unfortunately it's unlikely, but who knows! Sometimes franchises stay dormant for a very long time before being resurrected...
What is more likely is somebody taking the idea and making their own IP.
