    I love the jumbo pad for canning, once you take your jars out of the pressure canner, you want to sit them on something soft and NOT cold.

      Perfect idea, Mickey! I didn't even think about that. 😊👍 We used lots of towels canning peaches! Have fun making your hot pads. Happy Quilting,

      You can do it, Betty! My trick to keep a pile or two of fabric very visible. Eventually the fabric wins and I'm quilting up a storm! LOL 😍 Happy Quilting,

    I love this! Thank you for teaching how to cut on the bias too!! I’ve been making only squared corner oversized hot pads.

    So glad u did the large size. I have been thinking about doing that to fit my counter next to the stove cause that's where all the hot food goes for big family dinners. I really liked the curved corners and that's how I'll be doing mine. Thank you for all ur time and sharing ur knowledge. Jayne (not Fred) lol.

      That's how it works in my kitchen, too, Jayne! It's nice to have pretty hot pads to serve big family dinners. It's just a bit warm and cozier, right? So glad you'll be making one, too, though it's hard to stop at just one! LOL Happy Quilting,
      Lea Louise

    Great colours and a lovely finish on all the items - love the stripy binding - thanks for the tip for the 'off-set' seams; that will come in handy one day I'm sure 🥰

    Wouldn’t it been easier to use a serger on the edge or zigzag before you begin the binding?

    • @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise
      @InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's certainly a good way to prep your edges before binding, Sally. I can see where it'd be very helpful on the curves to hold all the layers together. It's just not a step I generally take but have absolutely done it when I have thick layers to hold together! 😍 Thanks for your comment. Happy Quilting,
      Lea Louise

      I never thought of it until I watched this video. I love sewing rag quilts, especially with an extra layer of flannel for the fluffiest quilt. I’m going to try it next.

      @@InspiredQuiltingbyLeaLouise Pretty difficult to teach someone how to sew, and why you do what you do without talking. Teachers speak - - it is what they do. You are very good at it.
