For me when I line it up the metal part that slips between the motherboard and the case the natal bit keeps hitting the motherboard so it can’t reach the slip
1:50 this type of a 8-pin is also known as 6+2,so if you see it written somewhere,that is how it exactly looks,6 mains with 2 dangling on the side in case of need for an 8-pin
@@mikeyraven7980 basically its a special version of an 8-pin,which came out in early days of 8-pin existence hence was separated like this so could have been used as a 6-pin,using just that bulkier part,or an 8-pin using the whole thing,appeared mainly in non-modular PSUs
@@mikeyraven7980 and yeah,if you need an 8-pin you plug it all into the gpu,these existed mainly during an era,where 8-pin cards were rising,but still there was a plenty number of gpu models which you sufficed in their hunger by a 6-pin. simply,you bought this type of a connector and then you were settled for any gpu which would cross your path those days

I’m building a pc now. I put all my parts in and powered on the pc. I don’t have my gpu yet so I can’t see if it works but my fans spun and lit up and I guess that’s a good sign
problem is mine wont fit cos the sliver bit that overhangs where you screw in to the case is obstructed by weird vertical covers above the horizontol ones. I tried unscrewing them but i could not get the screw loose at all...
I was going to do that however every gpu has different drivers etc. I didn’t want to confuse anyone. But you did give me an idea how to go about it in the future. Thank you 🙏
Those things shall be teached at school nowadays. I replaced preexisting graphic cards (with new same ones) in the past, but never installed a totally new one, so I needed a video like this to feel safe to be able to do it before buying it and not having to rely on a technician. Thank you.

Broda I need help, I did the instalation I even update the driver but everytime i need to use my pc it says check video cable, it's flashing sometime it boot up sometime it dont
Graphics card won't click in, and one side of it will always slide out, with the latch locking the other side in place. I can take it out but it will never lock in place without easily being able to slide out. Help?
I was also installing my gpu but didn't hear any click sound while inserting and also I noticed the golden chip at hdmi port side was little outside but still I switch on my pc and now my gpu is dead by short circuit is there any chance that this can happen I've got asus gtx960 2gb
What I don’t get is my tower doesn’t seem to have a graphics card plug since the GPU it came with doesn’t need to be plugged in. However I’m upgrading the GPU to an NVIDIA 1650 since the one I have is an AMD RX 550. I’m a bit of a noob here since it’s my first time buying a prebuilt tower.
I can’t find a cable for mine.. does the graphics card power source plug into computers power supply? The pins I have plug into power on mother board and the other one is pci express which there’s no plug for it on the motherboard

When you realise because your case is so old, your graphics card case mount screw points don't match up.
Just get a new case. They're very cheap anyway

I highly recommend you screw it in. You can probably find some screws on Amazon. If you don’t screw it in the card could snap or short or something.

Those usually require you to break them off like a KitKat bar. (Best way I found to explain that 😅).

My slot thing that i took out of the pc (where the hdmi and display goes) i broke the one above it and it wont go in now is that a problem?
I have a blue latch clip instead of a latch that you press down . What do I do with that ?

During the driver install it will stutter and sometimes even turn off for a bit. If it’s doing it at all times then something’s wrong
