hey, thank you sm for the pattern and tutorial. a few questions if you can help me out, at 4:05 do we pull on the thread of the top and bottom seam both, or just the top?, 2. once you turn the skirt inside out 4:24 is the lining and face fabric right side facing each other?, 3. when you’re pinning the lining & face together to sew 4:30 , do we just sew together the fabrics or the elastic as well? or does the elastic stay free?
@@inarshia We only pull on the bottom thread. Yes, when the skirt is turned inside out, the skirt and lining are right sides together. I sewed the lining and skirt together without the elastic; the elastic stayed free. However, if it’s easier for you to sew everything together with the elastic, that works too.
@@valeris. thank you miss! Im a beginner, took me so long to find a good tutorial + free pattern source for a bubble skirt. this was my first time working with a pattern like this, & although tedious i enjoyed putting it together! hope i make a nice skirt out of this and if im able to sell them i’ll be sure to give you due credit :)x
@@sianaem5270 Take the largest size, the top part of the skirt should equal your waist measurement doubled, divided by 4 (since the pattern represents a quarter of the skirt). If this isn't enough, add the required number of centimeters to this number, divide it by 4, and add the resulting number to the pattern by simply extending it along the side seams.
@@sianaem5270 Or you can simply take the largest size. Since the waist measurement in the pattern is doubled, it will definitely fit you. There will just be slightly fewer gathers at the top.
@@valeris. it did thank you so much and thank you for responding so quickly! Keep up the good work and I hope to keep learning with you as an intermediate designer that hasn’t sewn anything since highschool lol 🫶🏽

Is there a plus size version or a tutorial on how to make the pattern into a plus sized version?

I checked, the link works. Maybe Patreon isn't available in your country-try opening it with a VPN.
