Andrea! Thank you so much for allowing me to post this video. The information was perfect. It was the highlight of the Eastern Nationals for me. Hope we get to race again soon! Be safe and have a wonderful holiday! -Marty Ford
Big thanks and hats off to you Andrea. Not only do you kick everyone's ass while you travel and race the world but you share vital info and knowledge with your competitors and I can feel your a genuine good guy coz your knowledge makes sense and isn't trying to steal our hard earned cash either and well, the proof is in the pudding as they say. Hopefully you come to Perth, Western Australia soon because my friend just opened a slot car racing center with a custom wood 43m, 6 lane track with this special surface he was telling me about. Its crazy grip and my un-trued GT40 MKI rears maybe 300ish Carrera laps old with tread pattern still heavy were trued like my Hudy does after maybe 20-30mins of driving. He is hosting the Australasian Championships next year and has been talking to NSR and from what he's been saying, you guys have been the easiest and best to deal with, agreed to next years championship and gave promotional merchandise no hesitation (only slot brand to offer merchandise/promotional gear) and he cant stop raving about you guys and also your cars after I gave him his 1st NSR, the Gulf #24 Porsche 917k recently released. Sorry for the rant but I couldn't help it haha, especially after such a rad video clip and hopefully yourself and Marty also get to come out to beautiful Western Australia one day, see one of if not the most beautiful and cleanest places on earth get to race on this unbelievable 43m custom 1off track and all meet and hang out for a bit. Thanks again mate and take care on your travels.
You had perfect timing on this one Marty. He definitely understands how to make his cars go fast. The surprise on people's faces this weekend when they teched his cars was great.
Great video Marty. We've been trying to build this type of content for people for a long time. It's been difficult to get off the ground, and Todd and I are thinking of just doing this on our own.
Thanks Ian! I would enjoy listening to you and Todd talk shop! It’s obvious that you guys really understand what it takes to build quality cars. Sharing the knowledge is so important for the success of the racing side of the hobby. I am not on your level, but if there is anything I can do to help. I am here to help.
Thanks for posting this. I didn't have the opportunity to talk to Andrea very long. I also appreciate the moral support on my disaster of a Modern GT heat.
WOW! This just totally blew my mind on tuning, especially on the front end and the motor pod. Thank you Marty for being at the right place at the right time.
That was so rad Marty and hats off to you again haha and love your work as usual. I wont say too much as wrote an essay reply just now you will no doubt read haha but yeah, its getting serious here in Perth, WA and I'm getting deeper and deeper into this "SLOT" since started about 4 years ago now and there's a few of you guys now I have only randomly chatted with here, never met in person, live in another country, basically know nothing about other than love slot cars as much, even more than me and i seriously already consider you guys friends and thats as cool as slot cars themselves when ya think about it 😁👍
Great video Marty, nice one for thinking to get the camera rolling at the start, I normally get to the end then remember it'd make a great video - well done ledge, I enjoyed that!
Darrell, I'll talk about it some in the stream tonight. Greg and I were running C8s in the GT class that were similar to how Andrea sets up a car. They're awesome!
Excellent video, many thanks for posting. Certainly contradicts much that has been covered by many a slot car channel up ‘til now. A less is more approach! Just tried his suggestions, especially the part about raising the front wheels so they don’t touch. Sure enough, vastly improved performance. Wow! Thanks again 😀👍🏁
Hughes.. This is very NSR oriented… Andrea is one of the developers of this chassis design.. I am not sure how it would translate to other brands.. and that’s why we test.. lol
Perfect timing catching that chat. Andrea is such a cool guy and had a lot of time for people over at the Westerns. Cool video - now with those hints and tips you'll be on for a win next time 😀
Doug, it was a great time! He was fantastic. As for the race.. we finished 16th GT and 19th in Vintage. I qualified 7th… I hope those results are what you hoped… 😂
Thanks sooo much for sharing this. I saw on Facebook someone shared Andrea giving tips on tuning cars for plastic tracks. I missed it, I had to leave earlier in the afternoon. So I was super stoked when you posted this. A BIG thank you to you Marty!!!!
Front wheels and tires are there "Just for the Esthetics" . HEHEHEHEHE How much time have I spent true and using finishes like nail polish to work on front wheels. Now 2 screws jamming them up into wheel wells.
😂 so I did what anyone else watching that video would do.. opened up a new 908, did exactly what he said.. and it ran 4.9 on my track right off the bat. Crazy.
Thank you guys, appreciated all of your comments ❤ I am happy to share knowledge and help everyone as much as I can!

I know Mark! Everyone was like… no weight?!?! 😂
Great video Marty. We've been trying to build this type of content for people for a long time. It's been difficult to get off the ground, and Todd and I are thinking of just doing this on our own.
I should also say Marty - if you ever want any help making more of these videos - we're totally in.

Would enjoy a conversation about this.. I’m in. Thanks for tuning in tonight.

Bruce! You did awesome, all you can do it put it back in the slot and keep trying! It was a pleasure meeting you. I’m proud of you!
WOW! This just totally blew my mind on tuning, especially on the front end and the motor pod. Thank you Marty for being at the right place at the right time.
I know! I was amazed, too.

It's pretty cool how a shared hobby can bring people together from all over the world!
Very cool, thanks for sharing
No problem 👍 thanks Gene!
Thanks for posting this Marty it was interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it, Doug!
I wonder how Andrea would tune classic Ninco's. That would be an interesting masterclass for me. Thanks for sharing Marty.
My pleasure! Happy you enjoyed it. It would be curious to hear..
Thanks Marty got a lot from that video me being new to the hobby gave me a lot of insight to tuning cars
You’re going to be fast in no time!
Great video Marty, nice one for thinking to get the camera rolling at the start, I normally get to the end then remember it'd make a great video - well done ledge, I enjoyed that!
Thanks Pete! I got lucky with this one! It was a masterclass in tuning an NSR!
@twolinesslotcars I think the harder you work, the luckier you get Marty, good job bud 😉
Considering the master class he gave on the track, I think he’s got it figured out
Exactly!
Video saved! 😎 Yes indeed fantastic information! Getting all my NSR's out now and working on um. 😂 Thanks Marty! 🫡
You are going to be super fast! We might need to re-learn how to drive 😂😂
Wow- great job Marty! Right place right time! Very interesting stuff!
Yes it was, I got lucky!
Awesome job Marty !
Thanks Jeremy!
Grear stuff Marty! Thanks for helping us slow guys get a little faster with the tech tips.
Darrell, we will have to change our driving style for these cars.. but great insight on how a world champion looks at tuning..
Darrell, I'll talk about it some in the stream tonight. Greg and I were running C8s in the GT class that were similar to how Andrea sets up a car. They're awesome!
This is a "must save" video. Thanks Marty and Daniel (and Andrea)!
You are very welcome! It was a pleasure to have Andrea with us.

Hi, can somenoe provide the link to that video about plastic tracks? Thank you. Awsome stuff here.
@@grandcircuitdegand6827 this is the video.. he was reffering to my story that was a clip from this video..
@@twolinesslotcars I see. Thanks!

That was the most important point, right?!
Thanks Marty GREAT SHOW
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for posting the video, great stuff!
Thanks Jamie!
Great stuff for you NSR guys!
They are fantastic cars!
Outstanding Marty!!!
Thanks!
Great Marty. Very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job!
Thanks for watching!
loved it
Great stuff!
Also it was interesting he said no true front zero grips because they could be square
( hardly touching)!
😂😂
🤯
Exactly! It is counter intuitive… but makes perfect sense.. and obviously works.. he was a rocket ship all day!

I couldn't quite catch what he said about the two most important things....
The Screws and the ? Are the most important? What was it
Front end setup..
Less is more. Turns out we’ve been overcompicatifying tuning!
At least NSR cars.. lol
