But Caitlin, it is also totally ok to like both albums the same! You don’t HAVE to pick one haha! I can’t pick one either when it comes to the quality of the songs, but… I have listened to All about love sooo much, even my kids and my mother can sing along to every song hahaha. It is like it’s the soundtrack to a certain part of my life. And now this album is just so new and so good. Which makes it so much fun to listen to it. There's a joke we have that the K in K-pop stands for Ki-pop. Kihyun's vocals are no joke. His tone, delivery and stability are incredible. He is my ult of ults for years, and he still impresses me. Wonho has been my ult for years as well, but I recently added Shownu because I love everything about him. The other members are my top biases because I honestly can't have just 1-2, and they're all amazing. I play bass guitar mostly and love the songs with a good bass line! I think that could be why I like this album a little bit more than AAL. Middle of the Night is still one of my favorite songs, though. I listened to the 1st part of The Dreaming when I went to pick up the albums at Target on release day. Then I listened to the 2nd half on my way home. I was crying by the time I pulled up to my driveway because the Dreaming song is beautiful. I think also because I was a part of the fandom and experienced a lot of the difficulties we had throughout the years, and it just really hit hard. I think Monsta X has sincerity when they deliver their lines that really make listeners feel emotional (could be sad, happy, hyped, etc.)
Caitlin - I know you mentioned how much you enjoy beats and rhythm, so i think you'd enjoy listening to 'Heaven' off their One of a a Kind album. It's bossa nova.
I love how they show us a different side to them in their english albums, we get to hear vocals and styles we normally wouldn't have and it just goes to show how they can actually pull off ANYTHING Their English albums, their japanese albums, their korean albums...each has their own sound and concept but it's STILL MONSTA X..it still has that Monsta X touch It's hard for me to pick a favorite too hahaha The Dreaming feels like a mature version of AAL

The Dreaming hurt so much to listen to, made me think of Monsta X's journey from 2014, going through No.Mercy, hiatus between Rush and All In, their first win, performing at the Jingle Ball, many more ups and downs and ofc, losing Wonho,, such a beautiful titular title track. These particular videos are a bit frustrating bc of the lyric/person singing mistakes, but I’m happy that you often catch them 😁. Blow Your Mind has me like 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫. And yeah, it was Changkyun singing in that second chorus bit, not Hyungwon. The Dreaming is….. it’s really something. This song is so, so real. Like they’ve got me partying this whole album and then……tears. It gives me chills every time I hear it. I’m in love with it. The whole album is a bona fide masterpiece, bar none. I am confusion. For About Last Night, Hyungwon's part that goes- according to this video- "I never tried to pick the call on me" I hear "and there were pretty people crawling on me" which, I mean holy cheese is a whew line. So learning other people don't hear that is really throwing me. and that's not even the only line that is 'wrong' to me, Hyungwon's line again in Better based on the video is "I smiled on the upside you've held on the lifestyle" but I hear "I smile on the outside you fell from the lifestyle" which, given the next lyric is "what a tragedy" makes SO MUCH more sense.
