I just have to say.. although I may not be a teacher and that I'm only 11 years old but your videos light up my day everyday because everyday you inspire me that everybody has a part and the part of teaching children and still enjoying what you are doing than you might have made my day everyday sense I first saw your channel.
My mom would always tell me on the weekends to be active and get chores finished
But then I say, wait mom I'm waiting for Pocket full of primary to post!!!

You are so talented and scarily driven. Girl, get some sleep! Would appreciate to see more on guided reading. We have issues with the temp in our classrooms, too. Usually the secretary will come to our room with a thermometer to check, then call admin. to let them know that something needs to be adjusted. No one can work when it's too hot.
Thank you so much.... and I am trying to get more sleep... ha! It just doesn't seem like it! I wish I could get more support with my room temp! I have e-mailed and told the janitor but no luck. My admin has been in my room so they know how hot it gets... sigh.
Man, school has changed since I was in school!!!!! Haha we never had comment on our report cards aside from a small section at the end. None of my teachers had beautiful classrooms like this, either.
Maybe I just went to a cruddy school - lol!

I would definitely love to see any resources you have for Guided Reading. I love the look of your Jeopardy game. You produce such high quality materials. You are SO right about doing relevant PD rather than just the stuff that the school sets aside for everyone. We have a day coming up where we get to choose 4 of our own sessions and this PD day is always my favourite for the year.
My new routine includes watching a few minutes of your vlogs while eating breakfast..... it gets me so motivated for teaching, you are so relatable, and you have such great ideas!

Only 2nd??! I didn't learn how to cite evidence until the 6th grade!
Right?! I feel so bad for them! It's extremely difficult! Not to mention, they have to read 2 articles and they have to cite evidence from BOTH to get full points. Which is extremely hard because if you are picking one, it's difficult to use the other article to support your opinion!

Yes, do a video on guided reading please. I am in school right now for teaching and what to do in guided reading groups for literacy, and even groups for math, are two things I don't' feel have been explained very well.

I know this is like 4 months old so you may not see it but if you have the DD app you can save your debit card and you just have to memorize the security on the back so you can enter it and add a blanance then you can just use your phone to pay. I don't all the time when I forget my purse!

Hi. First of all I need to say that I love your channel. I'm a teacher from the Czech Republic and we do many things (if not everything) differently. And your channel wants me to make changes in my own classroom and teaching, you really motivate me. However as I am not familiar with US educational system I always have some question in my mind. What PD days means exactly? How often do you have it? Where are the kids if not in school? I think it's a brilliant idea I'd love to have some no-kids time for lesson planning, cleaning etc. Thanks for your answers and hard work, keep it up. ;) PS: LOVE your new product and definetely going to buy it and use it as I was looking for something like it for a while with no success. :)

I made a game board and have the kids make up the review questions and designate the amount each is worth. I love your version. Did you let your admin know about the intense heat in the room? One year, the air conditioning ran in my classroom all year long. I started keeping a small thermometer in the room so I could prove that it was actually 65 degrees in my classroom during the winter!

I am an elementary education major, finishing up my freshman year this April. I am super excited, and your vlog always keeps me excited to teach, I know I may be some time away from teaching, but I love watching and getting ideas. I was actually wondering what a PD day is?
That's so great! Best of luck with your future career in education! I hope you love it as much as I do! PD days are professional development days... some of them are work days that we spend in our room doing report cards or planning and some of them are meetings! We typically have about 5 per school year!
