One benefit of being older is that you learn what to care about and what not to. I'm 20 years ahead of you, and there's a few things I have learnt to be at peace with. First, you can't do it all. You can't! This means you need to think about what's most important and how to handle the things that aren't at the top of your urgent list. Second, you simply cannot please all the people all the time. Third, time for rest is absolutely crucial. Especially for those of us who are inclined to being driven and perfectionistic (yep, that's me too!). If you don't get a video uploaded because you needed to take care of you, then take care of you. When we don't guard our rest we are more likely to burn out. When I was doing my degree and beginning to teach I made sure Sunday was a no-work day. I needed time with my kids and my husband without feeling guilty, and I needed to do things that feed my soul. Michelle, you are doing a great job. Really! Being the best you, and fulfilling the things you are called to is more important than a small group of people who need to learn to not say anything if they can't be nice.

Can you do a video on how elementary school is different than when you went through it? I'm not a teacher, but I find your vlogs fascinating, and it seems like school is nothing like what I did 20 years ago! It would be interesting to hear why things are so different (if you think they are), and how education has changed for the positive/negative.

Michelle, know that you are doing enough! As you said, youtube is free and the fact that you even want to share a glimpse into your life is enough! The negative comments will unfortunately never stop, but the way you handle them is with kindness and grace which is something we need more of in this world. Honey, I could only wish to have a teacher as compassionate as you are teach me when I was in elementary school! Classrooms were boring, teachers were apathetic, and it was just overall not a fun place to be. I didn't start caring about school until the 5th grade, but I'm sure that if I had someone like you as my instructor, things would be a lot different. You put in so much effort and devote so much time for your students - it's extremely heartwarming! Please don't let the negative comments get to you. There are plenty of us here who appreciate what you do to educate the next generation. Keep doing what you're doing, TH-cam isn't going anywhere anytime soon. You need to make sure you take care of yourself and your students first!

I personally havent seen any of the comments but im sure people were. Shes human and life happens and cant always make a video. Some people just dont understand that editing takes time and stuff. But luckily theres still a few people by her side and understand and is happy whenever she uploads :)

I have been watching your channel since school has started in August and I think that you are wonderful. I am a future teacher (1 more semester) and for those that are being so negative towards you is so mean. You don't owe anyone an explanation for anything that you do. You are a teacher and putting yourself out there letting people know what it is like being a teacher. You make teaching look easy honestly and that gives me hope for the future. I already stress about making mock lesson plans and finding activities for my future classroom. Keep your head held high! You're doing an awesome job!!!

Jessica Gleadall Every negative comment I saw were from teachers! It was disgusting to see grown ADULT women tearing down and bullying a fellow teacher, who **gasp!** put herself and her students first! Oh the horror! 🙄 Some of the things that they said were downright nasty! It truly terrifies me to think that these people are actually teaching children...
Jessica Gleadall Those people apparently don't work. And if all they have time to do is sit and wait for a video to be posted on TH-cam, they need a life. If they are teachers, then they ARE NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH. There are some days I don't even get a chance to get on the internet because I have so much to do with family and work. And I am only a preschool teacher. I watch this channel like every other day. I love her too, BUT I most certainly will not harp on her when videos are not posted. I enjoy the new ones when she has time to post. Those people need to sign up for notifications if they are so worried about her posting new videos. Rant is now over!

I remember that when we always turned in our homework for 2 months we would get a 'homework gift card'. Basically you could turn it in and for that day you wouldn't have to do homework. It's really nice for when you know that on this day you probably won't have that much time to do them. For example when you visit your grandma or go to a friend's birthday:)

Wow I don’t understand where these people get the guts to even say those negative comments. Like I don’t even know how you even manage to be a full time teacher, a tpt author and youtube creator all at the same time. As your audience and a future teacher, I totally understand how you can’t possibly post on time like you don’t have to explain it. Being a teacher should explain it! Just post your video anytime you can. You have to put your class and yourself first. Not because you’re putting yourself out there doesn’t mean you have an obligation to stick to a fixed schedule or whatever. Like are these people for real? Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to juggle your life with teaching life let alone being a youtuber? Don’t mind those negative people Michelle! You inspire a lot of people including myself that’s what matters. And thank you for trying your best!
Michelle, I just want to give you my input. I’m currently going to school to become a teacher, and your channel was one of the first I found when I was searching for ideas for my classroom. I have literally watched every single one of your videos and I take all of your tips and everything to heart. Personally, I deal with anxiety and I know that teaching is going to be stressful and I can thank you for preparing me for that. When I have people not supporting my decision to become a teacher I always respond with something I learned from your videos. I just want you to know that I appreciate the time you take to share a part of your life with all of us and if you need to take a breath and give yourself a break, please do so because it’s better to do that and put yourself first than to let the stress affect your work. 💕

There are some wicked grouchy people online... just shake the negativity off, Let’s think 🤔 of it this way. You have thousands of followers. Say even fifty were grouchy negative thumbs down on fluffy kitten video people. You are the math teacher so I’m gonna let you do the figuring. 😂 We, the majority, think you are awesome, talented, beautiful, inspiring, important to your students, your husband, your family and us. We think you bring your authentic self to each of these videos and we love you for it. I know what it’s like to want everyone to like you but some people just aren’t smart enough for that 😂🤣😜😉. Your students are so lucky! Next time you get negative comments just ignore them if you can. Negative people feed on knowing that they get to you.
