Wanted to thank you so much! I am currently 14 years old and I hope to become a teacher in the future! I am already teaching two musical theatre classes for kids aged 4-13 and also run a summer school for them in the summer holidays so i have a rough idea of how hard teaching can be sometimes and the amount you do for your students is truly incredible! Xx

Hi I am 15 I also want to be a teacher. I teach at a leadership program deal with 7-12th graders with it but I have much more interest in teaching 1st-3rd grades. Seeing how much outside school work is done and how much money for your class is spent is incredible. I feel like if I had a rough class like she did last year I wouldn't want to spend money on my class. I know that sounds horrible but it is true it would be very hard to pay for these children who don't respect you in return. I cant wait until I can teach. Right now its hard because my parents don't agree with me wanting to teach because they feel I should do something that will make better money.

Michelle, you remind me so much of my mother. She was a third and fourth grade teacher who has been retired for many years. You do so many things that my mother would love. Even my mother has been retired for years, her students still talk about her and the things she did.
Thank you for your little story about the parent in the beginning and how rewarding this profession is. I'm still in college and am already overwhelmed by the amount of work I'm seeing that teaching is.. it leads me to second guess my decision sometimes but thanks for reminding me how special and rewarding this profession is going to be.
I look forward to these vlogs so much. They make me feel more motivated and organized.
I’m currently on oxygen at the hospital because I have a horrible case of the Flu (EVEN THOUGH I GOT THE SHOT!) and I have asthma so it’s much worse than the normal Flu for me. Seeing you post this was incredible it honestly made me soooo happy! I’ve been rewatching the vlogs since I got here at 1a.m. I just want to say thank you so much for being a great teacher and showing me what I want to do in the future!

You are too funny! I have been teaching 13 years, but you have been such a motivator to keep a clean and organized room! I went to my school yesterday (Saturday) and spent so much time organizing and getting things straightened out. I love all of your tips and spend so much money after watching seeing all that you use in your classroom! (BTW... the Amazon clicker has made me the HAPPIEST teacher ever, plus the teacher bag you mentioned.... :) Keep the amazing/helpful hints coming!
I also used cast your vote with my 8th graders they loved it. It doesn't matter what we teach as long as we make History engaging for our kids they will enjoy it more.

For the yard sticks I recommend putting them in the cabinets in the coat hanging area right next to the color bins
bye bye undereye is amazing. a tiny bit goes a long way and I really recommend a wet beauty blender or sponge..if you use a brush it can look pretty dry. I love all the it cosmetics products! since you have redness..they make a bye bye redness that I used to use as almost a foundation! I think you'd like it!

I totally understand the idea of moving and rearranging the classroom. It gives me a feeling of calmness and makes me feel more organized and efficient. I totally revamped my classroom colors and decor this year because of your videos. I am using black,gray, and teal in my room. I love the more sophisticated look compared to my previous blue,green,&purple theme. Love all your organization ideas!

Your Valentine’s dinner looked super yummy! Also, that math activity reminds me of an activity that we do every other Friday and it’s called “Poster Method.” I give the class usually a multi step word problem. They have about 5 mins to solve alone, then 5 mins to discuss with their group. They then chose a leader based on how well they can explain the problem. Then they have 5 mins to visit the leader at each table ( I have 4 tables) in rounds so the leader can explain their answer and they can ask questions. Then when they return to their own group they have a few mins to make any changes- if any to their own answers. After that they create a poster to display their answer. Then we gather and each leader presents their answer. The whole process is done with as little teacher help as possible. We enjoy it!
Totally agree with changing up the classroom. I do it probably about 4 (or more)times a year. It feels good, the kiddos like it. Keeps them on their toes and helps me feel new again. Love it!
I don't know how you manage to do everything that you do. You are so motivating. When I just wanna be lazy I think of how much you accomplish in a day. Thank you.
One of my teachers from when I was a kid (my first grade teacher) is the reason I am becoming a teacher. On Facebook last week she posted saying how happy she was to have been able to have touched so many students in her years of teaching (she has been retired for 11 years) and there over 100 comments from former students and parents like paragraphs long about how amazing she was as a teacher and how much everyone loved having her.

Something I came up with for yard/meter sticks in my classroom is to use a mail tube. You can get different diameter ones, and it helps keep them neat and upright! Just a thought!
I always change my room around. Probably every time I do a good deep clean of my room, I rearrange it! So funny that you do the same. It makes you feel like a weight has lifted and you have a fresh start! ☺️💜

I am a k-2 special education teacher. I really enjoy all of your vlogs. I am like you about changing things around . It's funny because this past Friday I did just that. I rearranged my teacher area. I don t use a teacher's desk. I just have my area behind the kidney table that I do small group work with. My room is really small so a teacher's desk took up way too much space.
1. Got my doorbell this weekend. My 6th graders are going to be do excited!
2. Yard sticks = pvc pipe and 3m velcro. Pvc pipe cut a couple inches shorter than the yard sticks. Find a spot either in a corner or a created Corner between a bookshelf in a wall. Put the PVC pipe on the floor 3M velcro up one side and stick it to the wall. Yardsticks go inside. You can even decorate the PVC pipe with duct tape.

I wish my husband and I would have got to celebrate Valentine's day, I was having a hysterectomy that day. Had to stay in hospital 3.5 days the day after was my birthday and I remember none of those 4 days.

Try Covergirl Intensify Me eyeliner. It’s SO good. I had a hard time figuring out what I liked for eyeliner and I really like that one 😊 It’s like a liquid but it goes on with a sort of felt tip(but softer)!
The skirt is called Cassie - I have one that's black with feathers, and I LOVE it! I also have that top, but I goofed and ordered an XL so it's WAY too big to wear to school!

Yardsticks... maybe in an old trash can, alternatively, one of those containers for wrapping paper.
For the color drawers that hold the colored clips, you can changed the drawers. So you can pull the orange drawer and switch it with the blue one?

She made her own fonts. I'm not sure how, but I'm sure there are tutorials online.

Will you be able to plan things easier next year. Is it less time consuming the second year of teaching the same grade because you have already done it onceand have the lesson plans from the previous year to go off of?
PowerHouseOfGay it could be easier because you have more experience and you've already done it once. Although they still have to plan because depending on your students you have to teach a little bit different.
