  • U-32 (S182) is the second Type 212A submarine of the German Navy.
    U-32 is powered by one diesel engine and an electric motor driven by two fuel cells and features a cavitation-free screw, making it virtually undetectable. U-32 was the first non-nuclear submarine to stay submerged for two weeks.
    U 32 (NATO-Bezeichnung: S 182) ist das zweite U-Boot der U-Boot-Klasse 212 A, das der Bundeswehr überstellt wurde.

    During maneuvers in the Caribbean broke a German diesel submarine (U 24) the supposedly impenetrable defensive ring around the U.S. nuclear aircraft carrier "Enterprise", fired from cheap shot angle from a simulated torpedo compartments, photographed the 75 000-ton truck through the attack periscope and then dove directly without warning beside the giant target. U.S. Admiral said to have been furious...this is from a newspaper...sorry for the bad translation though, i just ran it through google

    The Type 212 really is threat even to carrier groups. This is from a report on a 2010 maneuver involving a norwegian Type 210, dubbed Ula:
    "During the annual NATO Joint Winter exercise in 2004, the HNoMS Ula had to be disqualified from the exercise because it kept the entire landing operation at bay.[2] It simply "sank" too many vessels, including the Royal Navy flagship HMS Invincible."

    Another example of magnificent German engineering. They may no longer have massive armed forces like during WW2 but what they make, they make well. Just like the saying goes, 'Quality not quantity' Australia will eventually need to replace its' ageing and also at many times poorly functioning Collins class submarines, and I hope that the navy replaces them with something worthwhile like this. Good video, glad you posted it.

My greatest compliments came when our German colleagues invited me to Germany for over two weeks to help them solve a particularly difficult problem. eher "oder so", das Heilige Römische Reich Deutscher Nation ging schon 1806 unter.
      Also nicht mit dem preußischen Nordgeblubber in einen Topf werfen.

    Well done, Germany! I think we here in the U.S. have done ourselves a disservice by abandoning diesel-electric technology (due respect to our nuke boats).
    The new generation of DE boats are SO quiet...almost undetectable. Matched up with the latest weapons tech makes them DEADLY!

    • @McBears1
      @McBears1 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no they haven't done a disservice, one of the greatest disadvantages that most people fail to realize is the inability of a diesel sub to remain at station, a nuclear sub could remain off the coast of iran indefinitely, a diesel sub would have to be refueled or seek access to supply tenders and friendly bases OFTEN which the Israelis have little of in that area

    • @SingleHandedWarfare
      @SingleHandedWarfare 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @McBears1,
      As I said...due respect to the nuke boats. Their advantages over D-E are well known. Abandoning D-E technology COMPLETELY in favor of the other is the disservice I speak of. Nuke boats are expensive to build...and hard to replace should the s*** ever hit the fan. A prominent D-E force should supplement, of course, not replace nuclear.

    1. An Astute class SSN would cost just about twice as much and there are cheaper alternatives.
    2. As I mentioned, the IDF equipped them with SLBM to have a second strike capability.
    3. The Russians have recently been building something similar, the Lada class. China ordered 4 of those. However, the design couldn't meet the requirements and was scrapped.
    4. While the 212 is not for export, the longer Type 214, that lacks certain classified technologies, is. South Korea ordered 11 of those.

    These submarines are absolutely bloody brilliant, yeah nuclear submarines are bigger, faster and carry alot more weapons but the 212 can go places they can't because it's much smaller. I bet it's good fun serving on one of these boats. I saw on another video that when this boat is running on it's air independent propulsion you literally don't hear a sound and I am not surprised that they surprise our allies on naval exercises- I bet they're thinking the same thing as us; thank god China, Russia, North Korea and Iran don't have anything as good as these boats

It was one of those cases in history where a migration of peoples who were better equipped militarily rolled in and took over and the indigenous populations did suffer due to military defeat, sickness and hunger. However since the Indian wars the are just another part of the American population. It is true though in their fight to hold on to their land they did lose a lot of people though they were never put in concentration camps. There were massacres on both sides

    @teddythebenny I would like to clarify, the F-22 is far from useless. It can fly in the rain without any problems. Its stealth however is reduced by flying into rain (like any other aircraft) due to the condensation, water vapor and ice that gets attached to the skin. This will happen to any jet with the slightest bit of stealth modifications. The F-22 is probably the best jet ever suited for air-air combat, but it lacks in numbers and in certain other capabilities.

    Nuclear submarines are big ass sitting ducks wich can be spotted very easy from an uboat like the u32. thats why some us navy groups hav a u32 under german commando for recon missions. you cant hear or see the u32 under water. nuclear submarines are fuckin loud.

    Rather than spending billions on the Astute class submarines, the Royal Navy should just of put an order down for a couple of Type 212s. But never would because of the public embarrassment of using a German built sub.

    Why are the most beautiful boats Kriegsmarine (war) boats? I'm glad no one is at war anymore! Speaking of which... the world's countries should unite and demand US government withdraw all of its troops from foreign soil!

    @teddythebenny Japan or any other nation for that matter, will be able to buy the F-22 as it's not available for export. Japan will be able to buy either the F/A-18E/F or the F-35 for its F-XX competition in replacing their F-4 Phantoms. And the F-22's operate (before they were grounded) in Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Japan. Pretty much all the harshest environments planes can fly in.

    Do you know what happen in 2006. A huge new cruiser ship had to pass under a high-voltage (power) line so they deciced to shut down this line which brought a little blackout in the north of Germany. That had nothing to do with the step out of the nuclear power which came after Fukushima (and that was in 2011).

And the only country that refuse open border is Israel, because they want to blow up your country and keep their israel safe. They want chaos, and they use Islam to do that. @TheARMAProductions The new U-Boats solved that Range Problem. They don't have just Diesel and Electric engines like the old ones they also use hydrogen cells... And it can fire cruise missiles through the torpedo pipes

      Passive sonar works like your ear. It doesn’t make any sound, just listens.
