Cutting the appliqué fabric can be therapeutic. It’s a few extra minutes of quiet time, focus without a lot of other noise and exercising patience. Thanks for the video.
No. Unfortunately a vinyl cutter can't cut fabric. I've tried it. Even with a sticky mat it doesn't work. You need a laser cutter. I will get one eventually. I could use tackle twill but I like the fabric better.
Here is a video I made a few years ago on tender touch to make cover the backing giving it a softer feel on the skin. It will never be hidden unless you sew another piece of material of the same color onto the garment but if you want to create a softer feel for babies of for your adult clients you can use this method. I don’t think it’s necessary for adults because a lot of people wear undershirts but this is an option. Even if you go to the mall or any store you will never see tender touch on a garment, it’s either totally sewn over or showing. th-cam.com/video/E0XN0khhlwU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0MpYsnjm0psI5twP
I just bought and am waiting for delivery of my mt1501. Trying to get an Amazon order together so I have what I need to get started when it gets here, but I cannot find anything on what weight of bobbin thread that I need to get! Help please! I want to order the pre wound bulk bobbin box.
this is my amazing affiliate link. These are the boxes I use. I buy them 6 or so at a time. Since you are just getting started two boxes will last you a very long time. Sideless Bobbins amzn.to/3zbUrWL Also. Did you use my ricoma affiliate link to buy your MY-1501?
I clicked your affiliate link, filled out the form for ricoma to call me, and waited for 3 days. Never heard anything from them. I called them, they sent me to someone that I had been assigned to, and he said he would call me back that day. 2 days later I called them back and that’s when I ordered, so yes, I used the link, so I hope they credited your affiliate account. Thanks so much for the bobbin thread link! And all of your helpful videos!

Nice!! I would put solvy over for the satin stitch on fuzzy fabric.
Good suggestion.
You should use the same color as the lettering on the top for the nutron
Yes. That would give it the pop in needs. It’s kinda dull as is.
Looks great!
Thank you.

Thank you. Just added it.
Question could you use a vinyle cutter to cut the fabric first so you can just lay it down on sweater and clean cut lines ???

You can use a Cricut to cut fabric. You need a fabric Matt and a rotary blade.
You can cut fabric with the circuit maker. I do it all the time and it works great!
Do you hide the cut away backing after you cut it out? Or do you just cut around the design and leave it like that?

Can you use any kind of fabric for the appliqué?
You don’t have any issues with alignment when removing the hoop to cut and replacing it?
As long as you dont un hoop the project and you'll be fine.
No. No issues. Never lost registration yet.
Where can I buy that hooping station and that huge hoop??? I have a PR1X Entrepreneur so I'd like to make bigger designs than my 11x8 hoop.

Why don’t you cut your material with your cameo?
I think this fuzzy stuff is too thick for that. Looks like we'll all need a laser next.
That makes sense
