    Ive used several thinkpads over the years and they really don't make them like they used to. 16:10 is a welcomed addition aswell as the fingerprint power button. I cant help but remember the days of longer travel keyboards, multiple dimm slots, removable batteries, and fully repairable laptops. The T series is not meant to be "ultra light and portable", yall make other series for that. Bring back the "Txxxp" with all the things I mentioned above (I understand that a socketed cpu is no longer an option). I truly believe there is a market for this type of laptop. A laptop that fits between a T series and a P series as well as a repairable laptop. With the right to repair movement gaining traction and companies like framework being created its only a matter of time before your competitors take the leap and make a more accessible and repairable laptop. So go back to what you used to be, back when that enormous price tag was worth it.

    I really really hope Lenovo stops the dodgy cutting corners of default memory channel config (i.e. only 64 bits). I could understand it on a cheaper product brand like Ideapad, but doing it on the ThinkPad lines just damage the brand.
    The half soldered RAM models are also a poor compromise. Why not just have soldered only LPDDR models and different models that are only SO-DIMM DDR?

      it's sad that you can't get a single Thinkpad with the better 16/10 aspect ratio screens (which are better for productivity) and the great Thinkpad keyboards with at least 1,8mm key travel from a couple years ago. I'm sitting here typing on the 2022 T16 model, it's a good machine thanks to the fast and quiet Ryzen 7 Pro 6850u processor, but the keyboard (and trackpad) could be so much better

      @UnKnown-lp9gl no, the opposite. Ryzen Processors, especially the U-Series for slim notebooks are much more efficient than Intel processor while offering more power too. Only Apples M1 and M2 are even more efficient. With the new AMD Ryzen 5 7540u or 7 7840u you will probably get 15h of battery life or more depending on the configuration of your notebook. Unfortunately, AMD Ryzen laptops are not as widely available as Intel. My Thinkpad T16 Gen 1 with the AMD Ryzen 7 6850u processor has around 12-20h of battery life depending on what programs I use, it can even play games on low or medium settings, the iGPU is much more powerful than Intel's and this will be even more the case with the newer Ryzen iGPUs

It wastes more battery power, and unlike gaming, getting more frames into my eyes every second doesn't make a remote connection to a client's computer any more responsive. You don't magically type reports or documents faster just because the screen scrolls a little smoother, so there's no practical benefit to more than 60Hz in a business oriented product. 90+Hz has a place in competitive gaming, but not in the workplace.

  • @goat3779
    @goat3779 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The T series are supposed to be the all-around, everyday laptop and X is the portable version. Why do they keep emphasizing the "on the move" part?
    They keep on chasing Apple MBP (or even Dell XPS) that they forgot ThinkPads have always had a loyal following. Not because of the brand, but because the laptops are the best when it comes to price:value ratio.

    But i think even if the laptop is small ,lenovo need to find a way to give us a good product.
    My T14s gen 1 can't turn on ,the charging light switch from orange to pink and switch off.
    For a Product of that Price they need to build a good stuff for Us.

      Hello Muneyasu Suzuki. Thank you for reaching us for support. May we know where did you exactly purchase the laptop? Is it from our official online store or to a 3rd party vendor? Could you send us a clear picture of the order confirmation, so we can further check it. We'll wait for your reply. Wilson_Lenovo
